Girls With Curly Hair How Do You Keep It Straight For So Long

How do you (girls) keep your hair straight?

mine's naturally straight LOL
but most girls i know usually perm it and even have a shampoo to keep it from curling up in the showers . or they just straighten in the morning .
i just don't bother , it seems like a lot of work , but mine's still straight :P

oh , and there are ways to find of if someone straighten their hair :
1 ) if it blows like mad in the wind - not straighten , if blows somewhat but most of it not - straighten . it's because the heat from the straightener keeps it together

How do girls keep their hair so straight?

look for anti-frizz serums to use after flat ironing and hairspray if needed.
also, dedicate the time to straightening each layer of your hair flawlessly.
use an umbrella in rain obviously.
set your straightener to maximum heat (it will not damage hair if you spray protector on first and dont restraighten the same section).
i highly recommend babyliss flat irons if youre looking to invest in a new one.
i'm really into hair and stuff and have naturally curly/frizzy hair that i must say looks great when i style it using these tipss! :D

White Girls, How do you keep your hair so straight without getting a perm?

well, it could be all in the genes, but as for us older white girls, we use straightening irons, or irons in general.. irons work really good... not every white girl had straight hair, i don't and i know some who had really curly/wavy hair.. but, we use shampoos as well that help the irons straighten it... but yeah, thats all too it.

Do girls like straight or curly hair?

Girls with massive curly hair, how do you keep it from fluffing out?

I hate my hair. It's crazy curly and no matter what I do all it wants to do is poof out so I look like a cotton ball head. And it's so frizzy. I only wash my hair once a week cause it's so dry, I never brush it, I only comb it when it's wet. I used to straighten it but I haven't in 2 years now. I'm tired of wearing my hair in a bun, I'd like to wear it down! Right now when it's curly and down it reaches my breasts, so it's pretty long, but it still poofs out. Also, I have super duper thick hair.

Right now I'm using Aussie shampoo and conditioner and the 3 minute miracle moisturizer. Can you recommend your favorite leave-in conditioner?

What do you girls do to tame your hair?? Every salon I've been to has been unsuccessful at taming my curly hair so I'm tired of wasting money.

I've used Treseme hair mousse and all that did was make my hair hard as a rock and it looked like plastic. What do you girls use??

Thanks so much for your help.

How can I keep my extremely curly hair straight all day?

I have very curly hair. Its not a pretty curly! Its messy and awful. And i loooovee the look of pin straight hair. I straighten mine with a tourmaline ceramic flat iron every day and in about 30 minutes it is already getting wavy. Then by the end of the day, i have to put it into a pony tail because its already curly....

How can I keep it pin straight all day?

PS- It is proven that the type of straight iron does not effect how long your hair stays straight. It is the ammount of moisture that enters your hair. So do not tell me to go buy a new flat iron! I just need to know a product or method.

How do you blowdry thick, curly hair straight?

Ok so I have super thick, curly hair and its a pain to straighten it with a flat iron. I want to blowdry my hair straight but I end up looking like a VERY big poofy headed monster (not kidding! Lol) ok so after I shower, I wait a good 5 minutes, then I try combing threw my hair slowly and holding the blowdryer close to the brush, but it still gets so so so puffy. Straightening it after that is much much more work then straightening it naturally! My hair is so frustrating! Its course, dry, brittle, thick ,curly and basically everything else:( i want it naturually looking straight not puffy straight, I get jelous of the girls with naturally straight hair. Can anyone please tell me a how to, some tips, and some recommended products, or anything else that could help me. Please answer, and im sorry for the long message. Thank You:D

I spent a good 10 years of my life trying to straighten my curly hair, only to have it dry and damaged from all the heat. I wanted to look pretty, to look just like the rest of the girls with silk straight hair. It’s funny how badly I wanted to sport straight hair that I completely missed the part where I was damaging the very same hair I wanted to look pretty. And boy, there’s nothing pretty about damaged hair.Even when I had them straightened, I received criticisms with regard to my hair. The worst being, “your hair looks like my pubic hair”. That hurt me so much I locked myself for days. I felt like death when I had to go out and meet people. I really wanted out.Years of straightening my hair finally took a toll on me. I woke up one day and decided, enough is enough. I had contemplated it for the longest time, but I finally found the courage to do it. I shaved my hair off.The transition was anything but easy. I struggled every other day. And I realised that I could shave my hair off, but they’d grow back. And then what? It was about time, I told myself. I needed to love myself. I needed to respect myself. “Embrace your curls Fash!” I told myself every morning. That was five years ago. Now my hair is fully back, and I keep them short so it’s easier for me to manage. I know whats good and whats not for my hair, and I take no offense when someone has anything bad to say. And guess what? Nobody has anything bad to say! At least not to my face.Once in blue moon I’d straighten my hair. But most of the time I just let them bounce. Acceptance is a big word. And I plan to stay committed to it.So my answer to this question?Neither. The fact we have hair at all. Wear your hair however you like it, but remember to nourish them and take good care of them. Love them as they are, embrace every strand of your hair. Nothing spells beauty like confidence does. Curls, straight, shaved, bald.I say, love it and own it!

BLACK GIRL HAIR ! HOW TO STRAIGHTEN AND KEEP HEALTHY !?

1 Tip: Make sure you blow dry(on low) or roller set(healthier) your hair as straight as you can before flat ironing for best results
#2 Tip: If you want your hair to remain healthy don't touch up a flat iron job mid week. Always use a heat protectant!!!
#3 Tip: Deep Condition as much as possible and limit heat to at MOST once a week

Flat iron: Sedu Revolution <3 it. Its on the high side but it gets my hair STRAIGHT. The plates are really smooth so it gets my hair smooth. It also has temperature control which is a must if you want to get your hair straight safely.

Products: I use Chi Silk Infusion to blow dry. It gets my hair really smooth and silky feeling. Then I apply Redken Heat Glide to each section before flat ironing. Make sure you flat iron small sections in order for the best results. You can also chase the flat iron with a fine tooth comb. During the time my hair is flat ironed I use coconut oil to keep it soft. If you want your flat iron to last a long time (the longer the better so you dont have to flat iron as much) use a anti-humectant such as sabino moisture block or aveda anti-humectant

Conditioning routine: I only flat iron on freshly washed hair. I use giovanni smooth as silk conditioner to detangle. Then I deep condition with aubrey organics gpb(its a protein conditioner. Its really important to use a protein conditioner before and after a flat iron) for an hour. I deep condition by covering my hair with a plastic cap and then a wool hat. That way my body heat allows the conditioner to soak in.

How do you keep your hair curly?

Girl-- DON'T PERM your hair!! Permanent waves are evil! They are made with lye and alkanolamines and all kinds of harsh chemicals. If you want to to keep your curls, use a thermal setting spray (I like CHI 44 Iron Guard) on each section before you curl with a hot iron. Spray the curl with a firm hold hairspray (I like paul mitchell Xtra Body finishing spray) and let the curls cool completely before touching or moving them at all! To curl your hair faster, take sections to curl from the bottom of your head, and move upward. Spend most of your effort on making the curls in the visible areas (top and front) look the best.
To keep your hair shiny and smooth when straightened use a straightening serum (I like Redken Heat Glide), work it into your damp hair from the ends to the roots. Don't put it on directly on your scalp or it'll look greasy. blow dry your hair pointing your dryer down the shaft of the hair to keep the cuticle smooth. Then use the same thermal spray on each section before you flat iron it. Finish with hairspray. It'll stay all day and be sleek and shiny!! Pain is beauty my friend! But it's worth it!!!
