Can? Yes, if it were an actual mis diagnosis or an extremely mild case. What happens if caught? You a Doctor? Evidently she showed at least some kind of symptoms - Hence the Diagnosis by somebody that has actually been educated on the subject and has something slightly higher than a High School Diploma hanging on their wall... What are you basing yours on, that she made eye contact when she let you touch her fun parts?
