Why does my Throttle cable keep breaking?
About a month ago i bought a Baja DR90 dirtbike from a friend and i had to buy a new throttle cable because the one that was on the bike when i bought it was torn up, well today as i was riding my dirt bike i ran out of gas, so I switched to the reserve tank to get home and it wouldnt start after a while i got it to start and it just revved up really high and i wasnt even holding the throttle so i just hit the kill switch and pushed it home. When i got home i looked and the throttle cable was torn again. any idea what may be causing the cable to tear?

Every time I go to give my cart gas, I push the pedal and it pulls the throttle cable but the cable won't pull. It just rips out of the bolt it is attached to. It won't budge. Any suggestions on how to repair/solve this problem? Thanks.

First, make a spacer to fit between the frame and the drum, with a little gap to let the band move. As to the throttle cable, copper wire won't hold anything. try stainless steel. You might try contacting Comet Kart Sales in Greenfield, Indiana. They may have a heavier-duty racing cable.

hi Jordan, no problem, do you know where the carburettor is, it will be the part where the gas pedal cable connects to, on the bottom of the carb will be a bowl, screwed on usually with four screws, if you remove this bowl, inside you will see a float, and attached to the float is the needle, the idea is that as the bowl fills up with fuel, the float floats on top of the fuel, when the fuel reaches a certain level, the float will have pushed the little needle up against the seat, cutting off the fuel flow, this is how the carb regulate fuel flowing into the bowl, there are two things that can go wrong, either the float has a leak, and sinks causing the fuel to keep on flowing, or the needle is not sitting against the seat, it can stick down sometimes, i hope this helps you good luck sam
Where do I connect the throttle to?!?
Some people my little brothers know gave them a totaled little 50cc. the engine is fairly new and in good shape. I've replaced/fixed the breaks, shell, wiring, and fuel lines just from what I've learned from watching my now out of touch uncle fix bikes. The bike runs perfectly but after starting the bike I found that the throttle cable had disconnected from the engine. Where/how do I connect it? The cable isn't severed, just detached. Thanks for any help.
