Is 28 year old to late to grow very long hair?
I am 28 years old, and my hair is a little past my shoulders, about 4-5 inches. So my hair is neither short, nor long. I have almost always had shoulder length hair because its comfortable. But one time, many years ago, my hair grew quickly and it go to be up to my butt. I really liked my hair then, i think its one of the times i felt most beautiful. I was looking over old pictures and my sister in law, told me i should grow out my hair again, cause she thought it looked best that way. She said my hair looked pretty long because its wavey with curls on the tips. I have been wanting to grow it out for a long time now, but i always end up chopping it off. Is it too late to start now? It will take a few years. Is it odd for a 30 year old to have very long hair? I dont mind putting it up for work and things like that. But i would love to have very long hair again. Would it make me look bad at this age to have long hair?
Do you regret cutting your long hair?
i currently have hair down to the middle of my back. when i let it air dry it semi-thick and curly. but i straighten it most of the time.... i want to cut my hair because i never do anything with it & im ready for a change. im sitting here running my fingers through my hair trying to decide if i should go ahead with my hair appointment in the morning...
Has anyone here gone from very long hair to very short before?
I went from hair that touched my butt all the way to my chin. I only did it because my doctor thought the weight of my long, and very thick hair was the cause of my migraine head aches. I cried when It got cut, but I really liked the new style. It has been a few years and I don't really let it grow past my shoulders. It is a lot easier to care for! I was at a point that I couldn't go more than an hour our 2 without having to brush my hair. If I didn't keep it in a bun ask day, just simply moving, (not even sports our anything) would cause my hair to get so notty that it was unmanagable. I would definitely recommend going short. Before you do check out some websites some magazines dedicated to hair styles. For such a big change, you want to have your style picked out before you ever set foot in a salon. the last minute is not the time to make a decision about how you will look for at least several months. If you can, try to donate your long hair to lock of love our something. You'll get a new look and give one to somebody else too. Happy cutting!

I have a daughter and for the longest time, I ve not liked her long hair. I feel as if it s way too girly. Plus, I feel as if long hair is meant for older women, in their adult years. The difference with short hair is that it expresses innocence. I feel as if short hair would fit better for a little girl as herself. I also feel as if it s better to break gender norms, and cut her hair. Friday when she came home from school I sat her down and told her that I was going to cut her hair. She was fine with it until I told her that it was going to be short. Moment I told her she got mad and said that she didn t want short hair. I pulled out my scissors and took her to my bathroom. By this time, she was crying her eyes out. I told her to sit down and refused, until I threatened to punish her. I took the scissors and cut it all the way up to her mid-back, shoulders, then chin. She was already broken down crying. I then told her I wasn t done at by the end her hair was like a boy s. Maybe even shorter. I think that it s adorable, but she says it s too short. She needs to get over it. It cuts out the femininity and looks beautiful. I don t get it. It is only hair. Plus, I m her mother, I can do whatever I want to her hair. Me and my husband agree that the short hair is nice. Plus, it s so much easier to maintain. Once again, she needs to get over it.
Do fat guys look better with long or short hair?
I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny anymore. I usually carry something kind of like a mullet, kind of like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Sometimes, I cut it short and it looks alright, like Tom Cruise in Jerry McGuire. Sometimes it doesn't look like Tom Cruise's hair at all. But anyway, now that I'm bigger, I'm unsatisfied with my appearance. I feel like too much hair looks like too much hair and to little looks like too little hair for a big guy. I'm like, 6', 230lbs. But I'm not a bodybuilder, so I'm 30 pounds overweight. I'll lose it soon enough. Until then, what looks better? I can't be satisfied with anything.
Should a 48 year old lady cut her knee length hair short?
Oh my Lord, NO WAY!! If you are not pulling our legs, I'm sure your hair is amazing. I'm one man who loves long hair, up or down. What goes up, they say,.... If you love your hair, keep it. All the TLC you've given it through the years will go out the window in an instant, and while the stylist will be thrilled, you'll have tears on your pillow. One more thing: Charities are awash in hair donations, and the major ones sell or toss most of the hair they receive. Your hair is NOT needed. Finally, there is no such thing as a woman being too "old" for super long hair.My wife is 4 years older than you, and she wears hair below her waist, all one length. She is often mistaken for being in her 30's, which she definitely was NOT before she grew out her short cut in 2000. Good luck. I hope you thumb your nose at the scissors.
Do short hair dogs not get fleas or ticks?
I have had long haired dogs and short haired dogs. The only difference between them in the field that your talking about is that a dog with short hair you can spot the tick and flea faster. I have had long haired dogs that never did get fleas or ticks. And yes I did treat all of my dogs with flea and tick collars and front line and such. The point being made... Treating for ticks and fleas before they are a problem is better than letting them get established and then trying to get rid of them from your home. I am glad to see that I am not the only pit bull lover in the world. I thank you for supporting the wonderful breed.
I Want To Cut My Daughter's Very Long Hair Very Short?
You arethe parent and if you feel it needs to be short, then that is that. Don't make a big deal about it, just plan a evening when you will be giving her the cut and have everything ready. Give her a brief talk on how her hair is unruly and needs to be shorter and then have her get in the chair. I would not tell her how short you plan on going as it will only upset her. Start by the back really short and then work your way to the front. You could try using the clippers, but it might be better to use them forthe followup haircuts. Keep in mind that short hair is a lot lessmaintenance,but does require more frequent haircut, like every 5-6 weeks to keep the short style.Good luck,
