Should I ask my internet friend to video-chat?
7 months ago I met my internet friend on Twitter. Since then, we shared personal stories, talked about some of the things we love (we've many common interests), laughed and chatted almost every day until very late at night. We've always understood each other; we've also helped each other through some tough times. We've always had a really good friendship based on trust and affection (even if we've never met in real life). The point is, I'd like to video-chat one day (it'd be also a good time to thank her for all that she did for me, for listening to me, for never letting me alone, for giving me some good advice) but I'm afraid she'd disagree.
I prefer spending time with family than friends, is this weird?
HEYYYYY, it's not weird! I'm exactly like that! And I'm 21. I think it's good to have a balance though, but I am perfectly happy going with my family on things. hahaha Yes drinking every night is a nightmare for me, too. I think some of my friends feel the same way, but they won't say it. It's peer pressure I'd say, and some just go along with it because they want more friends. I haven't seen my friends (a more outer circle of friends) in almost a year...close friends haven't seen in months (they go to a different university) at a time, but I still chat with them online. If I haven't seen my close friends, and they're in town, I'd love to go and catch up with them. But other than that, I'm perfectly happy with my family. After all, you were raised by them, and lived your entire life with them. We're lucky to have a good family (others aren't so lucky).
School trip with none of my best friends? Should I go or not?
This year in September, 40 students from my high school (including me) are going to a 7-day school trip in Europe. I really want to go there because I love travelling. The only problem is that none of my 4 best friends in my class are going to go there! So, I'm left out with bunch of people I don't know. The only bright side is that there are 2 girls that are actually a good friends of mine, we go out sometimes, but we aren't that close. I really want to go, but I don't wanna feel left out there and be like a loner. Its 7 freaking days for god sakes! Also, I will have no sitting buddy in the bus and I don't wanna sit alone during the whole trip. I really don't know what to do, my parents should pay till tomorrow, but I don't know if I should go or not...
