Going To California And Am Going To The Emmy Red Carpet To See The Celebs

What do A-list actors do when they are not filming or acting in a movie for a year?

If an A-lister is not acting for a year, something might be wrong. He may be on the verge of leaving the A-list. They’re likely to have their next film set to start production not long after the last one is finished shooting.Studios enlist more time and money into A-list projects. Their projects would likely take more time to produce. If you’re in that kind of demand it’s likely you’ll have a greater say in the production, so you’ll be involved in every aspect of the film. It’s less likely to be a case of leaving the last day of shooting and meeting again on the red carpet. Someone like Tom Cruise is so involved with his productions that he only has time to turn out about one a year. You’re on the A-list because everyone wants to work with you. You’re constantly fielding offers and working with people on projects in various stages of the process. You’re also likely to have your own production company.Of course, in the weeks before a film is released, the A-lister would be busy promoting the film. They’d be doing press junkets and making the talk show rounds, both here in America and around the world.

Is living in LA overrated?

For a long time, I was very disappointed with the life LA had to offer and did not meet the expectations I had in mind. But to discuss this train of thought, I feel my background needs to be mentioned.I was originally born in LA, but my family moved overseas when I turned 2. Growing up? I frequently LA (1-3 times a year) each stay with a duration of 1-6 weeks. I then returned to LA for college where I attended USC and lived in Marina del Rey. After college, I moved back out to Asia for a few years. 1 year ago, I moved back to Los Angeles where I have kind of settled in for the next foreseeable future (5 years). Prior to college, I have always been in La as a tourist. I would enjoy the entertainment La had to offer, the good food, the beautiful weather, etc. It's very enjoyable to be in La as a tourist. During my college years, I was very bored of LA and shared your same thoughts, that La was overrated, boring, did not live up to expectations, and more of a large suburb than a city. One day I heard someone talking about how he loved LA and how "all Los Angelenos were in on this secret of how great LA was". I thought he was talking nonsense and didn't think twice about it, but that line stuck with me in the back of my mind. It wasn't until I moved back to LA, a year ago, that I finally was let in on this secret. I started to realize how diverse LA was and that the secret that stranger spoke of was not just 1 secret, but an infinite number of secrets. There are small pockets of secrets everywhere in LA, and you don't know about them until you discover them. I was lucky enough to stumble across one of these pockets, which opened my eyes to these hidden societies, clubs, groups, gatherings, etc. In my last move to LA (up until now), I have been loving it. As cliche as it sounds, the city has so much hidden culture to offer. I just so happened to stumble onto a few outlets to tap into that culture. There really is no way to describe or define what I mean by secrets, and others who share in on this secret will agree. So just keep an open mind, keep talking to strangers, and you will figure it out in time. :)Instagram: @cheftofer

What are the best interview questions to ask a singer songwriter?

I can’t say they would be “the best,” but here are the questions I would begin with and then see where the interview goes.Primary Objective: to elicit from the guest the emotional reason they write and sing songs. What joy do they get from it? What catharsis? It’s actually the same as when you interview a truck driver.— What got you to write songs? (childhood trauma, happiness, money?)—Can you remember the first time you wrote a song? Describe it to me.— Who gave you the support to keep writing in the beginning? Who did you play the early songs for?—What do you feel like when you play one of your songs and people applaud? Is it an affirmation or an irritation?—Professional songwriters spend years on their craft. Why not use their songs?— What is better about a song sung by the writer?—Are you more of a singer or more of a song-writer?See where it goes.
