Going To Fail My Spanish Oral Test

I failed my Spanish final!?!?!?

I just took my D.E (dual enrollment) spanish final about forty minutes ago and I checked with my teacher after they were graded. Turns out I was right about a few things, one: I can't speak nor write spanish to save my **** and two: my grade on the final was a 37%! I'm not sure how you factor in grades in my school district so I'm obviously worried that I'll have to either retake the course or take summer school classes (a thing that I've never had to do before). What happens when you fail a final? If my grade is a 78% C in this class, does this mean that I'll have to retake? They don't offer credit recovery here at my school AND I'm quite sure that the only option is to enroll in summer school!?!?!?! HELP?

Going to fail my Spanish oral test?

I have a Spanish Oral test tomorrow. I know I did quite well in my extended writing and reading papers, but my teacher is a complete arshehole. It has been 2 weeks since I had my writing and reading papers and I am STILL waiting to get them back.

She never marks our books
She never marks our tests
She can't teach
She de-motivates us by saying negative things
She never tells us specifically what to revise

And it is because of this that I have no idea what to revise for my oral test and I have a horrible feeling I will fail it.

Anyone wanna motivate me so I can get through the day?

I am aware this isn't a life or death type question but I am in some serious need for motivation right now. I pretty much hate my life at the moment and I just want to get through the week so I can revise for my finals in 5 weeks.

How to tell my mom i failed my spanish test again?

Tell her that you're pregnant.

Wait for the horror to set in, then tell her "Just kidding!" and break the news.

It'll be just like sit-coms, I swear it!

I failed a Spanish quiz?

yeah, i learned that last yr too
except w/ bio

i had a C+ in the class before the quiz and that was really bad b/c i was a 4.0 student, right?
and then i failed the quiz and it dropped to a C- and i asked if i could redo and she said no. and there was no EC

so i worked REALLY hard and my grade ended up an A and i got a 5 on the ap bio test

so the moral of the story is don't give up! ace the damn semester final and you're all set! and do the EC too if she offers!

What happens if I fail my IB SL Spanish 5 exam? My oral is next week and I'm for sure I'm not going to do well, I'm afraid if I fail this I will not receive my IB Diploma, I'm taking three HL exams next year.

Ok so you’re in first year IB and you’re doing your oral activity? Don’t worry about it.Whether it’s Spanish A or B, both have more than one internal assessment, so you can recover from a bad grade. The external assessment also weigh a lot so if your internal assessments are weak, study hard and do well on the externals. The only way for you to fail your IB because of Spanish SL is if you get a 1/7 as your overall score for the subject. Unless you’re Really bad at Spanish, I think you’ll be just fine. I’ve never seen anyone get a 1 on any subject. My English B HL was TERRIBLE and I got a 6 as my overall score. 1 bad internal assessment isn’t the end of the world.Good luck!

Does spanish fly show up in a drug urinalysis test?

Technically it would depend on the urine tox screen which was ordered, as any compound can be screened for via GC-MS and MS-MS, however it is not likely that this would be on any screen without some specific reason. If it is pre-employment drug screening or random drug screening for an employer, then it will most likely by a 5 or 7 panel screen, which will not pick up Spanish Fly which is a chemical compound extracted from a certain type of beetle.

Even companies where employees are put through very rigorous substance abuse screening, such as medical professionals, scientists, military, etc. would most likely not have this analyte screened for. I am not certain that in all of my years as a toxicologist I have ever had anyone ask for a urine, blood, serum or plasma sample to be analyzed for this compound.

How should I prepare for my final IB Spanish B oral exam in 15 days?

Assuming you have acquired a certain degree of fluency during your IB classes, two weeks is plenty of time to review those pesky Spanish idioms sitting there at the back of your head. They really make a big difference when it comes to taking the leap from B1 to B2/C1 (CEFR levels).I would also suggest that you write lists of vocabulary by topic. You should review the texts and themes you touched upon with your teacher in class, as in most cases the person who will be interviewing you will be your teacher. Here is a (non-exhaustive) list to give you an idea of areas you should feel confident talking about:Social relationsFamilyJobTalking about yourself, your interests and dislikes, your leisure timeSociety and life in urban or rural areasGlobal studiesEnvironmentHuman health around the worldHuman rightsGlobal issuesMedia and communicationMeans of transportationAdvertising (very important, don’t overlook it)New technologies (another hot topic)Internet (online dating, instant messaging, etc… again, another hot one)Leisure timeTourism and travelSportsCinema and TV (focus on the hispanophone world: you can research recent Oscar winners from Spanish-speaking countries, read about the popularity of telenovelas…)Music and entertainment (Spanish-speaking artists)OtherScience (GMOs, for example)Family traditions (you could for instance research traditions in different Spanish-speaking countries and make a comparative table to remember some facts)Festivities and celebrationsFoodMyths, superstition and folklore across Hispanic countriesThe oral exam itself is not that long, so don’t feel bummed if you can’t memorize all the words on your lists. What the examiner really wants to assess is how comfortable you are with oral production and interaction. The most important thing you can do to prep is… talk, talk, and more talk! Think of how you’d say something in Spanish, and say it out loud. Choose a topic, pretend someone is asking you a question and practice your answer in front of a mirror. Try to use as many different words as you can.Be confident in your skills.
