Good Books For 14 Year Old Girl

What books should a 14 year old girl read?

You kinda sound like me! I have trouble finding good books to read sometimes. If you are thinking of reading the Gossip Girl series, I strongly recommened it. They are very good books but some things may be inappropriate for younger readers. But as you mentioned, you are 14 so you could definately read them. I'm just saying that it would be inappropiate for about 12 and younger. I also recommend "The Clique" series. It's a teen series about a clique in a all girl private school. (one of those teen books with mean girls and LOTS of gossip)
I loved those books. The author is Lisi Harrison. I also recommend (if you have not read these) A Walk to Remember and The Notebook (both by Nicholas Sparks). And one more that I recommened (although rather lengthy) is Gone With the Wind. Yes, it's long, but I'm 13 and reading it. So that's my input!

Books for 14 year old girls?

At your age (which wasn't that long ago) my favourite author was Meg Cabot. There was also the series Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman which was incredible. Here is a little summary of the first book:
The book noughts and Crosses is the first book of a trilogy. Set in a parallel world very much like our own, the only difference is that the two races are known as noughts and Crosses, and the dark-skinned Crosses discriminate against the lighter-skinned noughts.

The book revolves around the lives of Callum and Sephy, two teenagers and best friends. However, their parents discourage them being together as Callum is a nought and Sephy is a Cross. The two are determined to preserve their delicate relationship but in a world where any sort of relationship between noughts and Crosses is shunned, it is easier said than done.

Give it a try :p Otherwise I really recommend the Meg Cabot books, you will enjoy them

BOOK IDEAS FOR A 14 YEAR OLD GIRL ?

Tree Shepherd's Daughter, Gillian Summers, is a series that is well-written, humorous, and witty. The beginning plot is that the 15 year old girl's mother, who is divorced, passes on. They live in California, in the land of the malls, and the girl goes to stay with her father, who currently is living in a cell serviceless, no cable, Colorado Renaissance Faire environment. She hates it, especially at first, and her adventures are funny.

Recommended books for 14 year old girl?

Pretty Little Liars is a AMAZING sereis, I finished all 8 books in a month... make sure you read them in order though. It is about a close knit group of friends and one of them goes missing and they dig up a bunch of secerts while trying the find the girl's murder when they realize they weren't so close. It is a lot more dramtic and has a lot of twist and turns. I would consider it a mystery and a drama

The lying Game is also a good book its by the same author as PPL and they are making another one in August. A girl who grew up with different foster families realizes that she has a twin sister and sets out to find her. It then becomes clear that her twin was murder and she would have to live in her sisters life or else she would also be killed

What books do you challenge a 15 year old girl to read?

Everything depends on what types of books you like, if you’ve read for a long time or if this is your first time actually investing your time in reading as an activity. Seeing as I’m 14 and love reading I’m going to share some of my personal favourites.FantasyThe Harry Potter series, The Percy Jackson series , The Divergent trilogy, The Mortal Instruments, The Graceling trilogy, The Hunger Games, His Dark Materials aka The Golden Compass trilogyAll of these books can be read by people from 10 and up. Harry Potter and Percy Jackson being a bit more aimed towards younger children. The other books are definitely suitable for 13 year olds and up seeing as they have a bit more romantic drama and are more complex. Another great series is A Song of Ice and Fire that I’ve just started reading (I’m currently on book 3 part 1) and I find it amazing. You should definitely read it if you’re an experienced reader and want a complicated book.John GreenA great author that every teenager should at least read one book of is John Green. I remember reading The Fault in my Stars and being so touched and moved by it that I just couldn’t stop reading it. I later also decided to read two more books by him that also made a big impact on me. Those books where Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Looking for Alaska.ThrillersThe first real thrillers I read were written by Harlan Coben and really made me love detectives etc. Since then I’ve read a number of great books, the most recent have been Good Girl by Mary Kubica, The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty and Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. The Husbans’s Secret is the most “different” as it revolves more around relationships than murders but I still see it as sort of a thriller. Pretty Girls is very brutal and should not be read if you aren’t into graphic descriptions but it’s a really great book that I couldn’t let go of.These are probably my recommendations, as I didn’t know which genre you were most into I just took the ones that I read and hopefully one of these is fits your taste.
