I don't know why anyone hasn't mentioned this gem yetUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt : This show is positively delightful. It's main focus is Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who was kidnapped by a cult leader and kept underground for fifteen years (yes, years) under the pretense of an apocalypse. When she's out and about, she vows to find a life in New York. The story also revolves around her gay black roommate (who can sing and is a star on the rise, apparently), her landlady who hates all things upper class and a trophy wife who wants to find herself amid all chaos. The show is full of belly laughs, and in the end it leaves you smiling, if not beaming. It's available for streaming on Netflix.

I really rarely watch TV (not a snob, just no time), and I am assuming we are omitting long-term rotating cast sketch shows like SNL. The only sitcoms I have binge-watched all the way through all seasons will seem odd, but they are:That 70s Show. Every member of the cast worked so well in their characters, every one. Also, I am old enough to understand all of the dated references. Red and Kitty could have carried a spinoff show if they had the right casting.The Drew Carey Show. I am not an avid Carey fan, but he played the self-effacing everyman really well , kept the ‘Show Star’ ego in check, and let his amazing supporting cast do their thing. Best change they made: Craig Ferguson as Mr. Wick. Almost jumped the shark when Mimi became a family member, the Baby-is-Drew was the weakest episode. Ryan Styles and Diedrich Bader were an amazing comedy duo.Observation: many of the best comedian sitcom performances occur when they do not try to be the star, but become a good part of a great cast. Think Phil Hartman on NewsRadio or David Spade on Just Shoot Me. Either could have had the star role in their own series after leaving top spots on SNL, but chose the supporting roles that were the funniest of their shows. Anyone remember the Michael Richards Show? If you blinked, you missed it.Think Kramer as a private investigator….

I'm kind of oblivious to tv shows since I turned 11 (In 6 months I'll be 14). I used to watch the shows on nick and Disney but they all were boring. I like Doctor Who, Misfits and Switched At Birth. Not a big fan of reality shows, those bore me, especially the idea of watching someone else live their life (so fun). I tried watching Pretty Little Liars but i didnt like it very much. I like humor, scifi, drama, romance, action and adventure. What are some good shows for me to watch?
