Good Degrees Related To Business

Business Degree useless?

That's because anyone can do business related jobs - you don't need a biz degree for it unless it's accounting or finance. An engineer can easily do a marketing job.. Etc etc

Where is a good place to study a business-related bachelors degree?

I’m afraid it is the usual suspects: Europe, Canada, or America. However, China is the place to go if you are interested in studying an economy that is in transition – that is from communist to mixed economy and from a developing economy to the World’s biggest and leading economy. Moreover, acquisition of Chinese language would add value to your CV and enhance your future job prospects. And finally, all these at a discount – that is, compared to European and American degrees. Good luck.

What is a good business-related Masters degree that would be less general than an MBA?

That really depends on your interests in business. Are you wanting to work in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, etc? The MBA is a pretty standard degree for management for a reason. If you are looking for an alternative for general management degrees, I would look at a MS in Strategic Management, MS in Organizational Leadership, MS in Industrial Psychology, or anything that you might find that is similar.

I'm doing a BCom Business Management degree, with a double major in economics and business management, with a minor in marketing. Is this a good degree for the working world in terms of employment, and what is the typical salary of a holder of this degree?

Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks

What good degree/diploma courses related to business laws, project management, and foreign trade policy can be done by distance learning in India?

I personally liked the course offered by iPleaders on  Diploma in Entrepreneurship Administration and Business Laws. Also if you can attend evening classes then ISIL offers some excellent courses in International Trade Law etc. There are also PG Diploma courses offered by NUJS on Nuclear law (since you mentioned you worked in the power sector). Hope this helps

Is this business analytics degree any good?

The Post Graduate Program in Business Analytics (PGP-BABI) equips you with the relevant knowledge and skills to pursue managerial careers with best of analytics companies or move the analytics roles within your existing organization.A decade back, professionals lived by the conventional career rules and followed a predictable job trajectory. It was commonplace to see a large number of professionals continuing in the same job position for many years together and even more common was sticking to the same job profile with little or no addition to responsibilities. Changing careers or going back to education was highly unusual as a person could see success staying in one profile over the years. This is not the case anymore. A look around and we see a considerable number of professionals, especially with 3-4 years of experience, enrolling in professional courses or shifting careers. So what has led to this transformation? The answer to this question is multifaceted — from increased awareness to volatile business requirements, evolving technology to thriving startups offering high salary packages have all played their part in bringing about this change in approach. In the coming years, as the companies continue to expect broader skillsets from employees at leadership roles, both business analytics and executive programs will see further increase in popularity. The key for professionals to maximize the benefits lies in choosing a high-ranking program from an institute of repute. If you are interested in the Program, you can apply through the online application form. Business Management a good degree field??

I happen to major in Business Administration (similar) and am getting my AAS transfer degree soon. Overall, it all depends let me elaborate.

This advice will be if you are getting a 4-year BS in BM. Business Management is a great degree it offers more specific knowledge about finance and running certain types of industries. So it is definitely not a bad option if you want to be in a management position for a company such as HR and ASM or a higher level executive if you have the experience. It will teach you core skills along the way but honestly, in my opinion, there are much better ways and sources to get knowledge and experience about running a business than college but that is another discussion.

This is my advice if you are getting the 2-year Associates of Applied Science in Business management. Now be warned the 2-year Associates of Applied S. in BM is not designed to be transferable so if you are looking to do 4-year you want the associates of arts and sciences. That is not to say the AAppliedS is bad. It is used to teach you more applicable techniques to be in a management position right away; however, expect to be in positions such as HR or Department Manager or ASM for companies like walmart, lowes, Target, etc. making around 28-45k annually. The drawback is the degree stagnates you and limits your option to middle/lower level management. So my advice would be to go the AArtsS route and eventually get a 4-year degree. More education meets more options. If you are ok with staying mid to low level managment and aren't interested in being promoted then stop at the 2-year degree thats all you will need.

In any case good luck! Do what makes you happy.

Business Degree? Is it worth it?

hahaha, seriously that is pretty funny! Some of the most well paid college grads end up graduating from business school...you can make a ton of money in many business related majors for example: finance, management, accounting, actuary, international business, HR management, and many others....good luck, go with entrepreneurship...try getting into a school like Babson college or Bryant University...both great east coast B-schools...
