Good Gaming Headset For Long Use

Are gaming headsets bad for your ears if your on them for a long time?

Anything above 85 db is considered loud and can lead to deafness. Back when I was growing up it was 100 db.

What is the best $100 headset for gaming?

Turtle beach x12, I use these for my PC and they are awesome. I can play games like Insurgency and hear the enemy's foot steps great. Also the mice can be used for left or right. Has a nice long cord and looks great. Lastly like mice sounds nice and people usually don't complain about it, only if I have it to loud and it is very flexible so you can adjust it close or far from mouth. Over all it is a fantastic buy and comfy. For those who wear glasses after a wile of having on they can start to bother (annoying pain) where the glasses rest by the ear but not always. That's after like a few hours of play 2-4 hours, just depends. But way love these headphones!Pros:-Good sound for the price-Build quality is a very good for the price-The microphone sounds good, not much background noise.-Very good for gamingCons: Wire is too long! like 15ft long itsss tooo long!Anyways highly reccommed these headset works for xbox I believe as well.Link: Turtle Beach - Ear Force X12 Amplified Stereo Gaming Headset - Xbox 360

Are there any long lasting gaming headsets?

Every time my Xbox chat headset breaks I just buy a new one of the same kind. This time I decided to see if there were any more expensive options that would last me longer than a few months at a time. When I read reviews for all these turtle beaches and astros and whatnot it's always the same thing: "Great but broke after a few months." If even the expensive options break every few months then I should just stick with the standard headset, but is there anything out there that does last a long time or are month long headsets just the norm?

Good Bluetooth Headset w/ Long Range?

Due to Bluetooth limitations, most headsets tend to have a similar range. You may want to check the web and see if there are sites with feature comparison- but BT does have a pretty similar range always.

I think most headsets really differ in battery life, though. Bluetooth tends to use a lot of battery power, so you may want to research which headset does a good job in allowing more talk time between charges.

What are the best wireless gaming headsets?

Before deciding to get a wireless gaming headset you have to know how it compares to wired headsets. The obvious benefit of no wires is freedom and comfort since you’re not bound by the long wires connected to your gaming machine.Being able to change the position on your couch while playing your favorite game or being able to quickly visit the bathroom without having to put down your headphones is liberating. It happens too often you forget you’re wearing headphones and accidentally pull the cables and damage them. Headphone cables are annoying. On the other hand, wireless headphones have some disadvantages. You need to keep charging them. Since playing sessions can be long for hours you’ll most likely need to recharge your headphones every few days which can become a nuisance if nothing else.If it just happens that you want to play your favorite game with your friends, but can’t use the headphones because they’re empty and you forgot to charge them, this is a problem. Not to mention the battery will eventually die or become less effective, emptying faster than usual.Thankfully you can still use most wireless headsets for gaming in wired more.Is there any lag? The common misconception is that wireless headphones will have some form of “laggy” sound delivery. While Bluetooth and other wireless technologies might not be as fast as cable, the difference is so small you can’t notice it.Modern wireless technology is almost as fast as cable and there is no difference in speed the sound gets transferred. Wireless gaming headsets are as fast as wired when it comes to this aspect. Why is it more expensive? Because a wireless headset includes the battery and additional circuitry for the wire-free technology, it also costs a bit more money.Sound quality is usually lower; though wireless gaming headsets aren’t much worse from wired headsets because they use fast technology and not Bluetooth. It’s true that Bluetooth doesn’t allow for the fast transfer of quality sound over the air, this is why most gaming headsets use different tech altogether.Watch the video to see our top picks.
