Does anyone know for sure if Adonis was originally a Greek God or a Roman God?

Oh let's not be silly! He wasn't either one originally, my dears. He came from the Near East. His first name was Adonai, which meant Lord. So he was probably really Ba'al or somebody like that over where Canaan was who was borrowed by the Greeks into the story of Aphrodite (a Greek goddess). The sister of Ba'al (whose name was Eshmun at least some of the time) was Anat, by the way, and after Mot (whose name means death) killed Ba'al, Anat killed Mot. The way she killed him demonstrates that this is a myth having to do with the harvesting of the grain because it's a lot like that old English folksong, John Barleycorn. In other words, she cuts him off at knee and treats him barbarously, if you know what I mean. You could look all that up, I suppose, if you really wanted proof. The cities of Ugarit and Ebla are the main ones that provided all those little clay tablets with cuneiform writing on them, telling the stories of Ba'al and Eshmun and Mot and Anat (and all the other Canaanite gods and goddesses). There was Astart and El too keeping them company, in case you're interested. But the Greeks didn't bother to borrow the whole gang, just Adonis. But the Greeks couldn't end a word with a "t" or an "l" and they couldn't end a masculine name with a vowel like "a" or "i" so they put their little sigma on the end of "Adon-" and took the alpha out altogether. So he doesn't quite look like himself, does he? Also, they seem to have taken Mot out of the story and Anat too. So it doesn't even make sense anymore. I mean, what was the point of even bringing Adonis into Aphrodite's life if they were just going to kill him off? The point of killing Ba'al was to bring him back to life -- he was thunder and brought rain to a parched land and all that. It made sense in Canaan. But it was just a silly story in Greece, especially when they took all the main characters out.

But the Romans weren't even involved. They borrowed Isis from Egypt but they didn't get into Adonis. Or Attis and Cybele either. They did have a little thing for Magna Mater for awhile though.

What does Quran 16:20-21 mean?

"ARGUMENT: The words Wa Laakin Shubbiha Lahum in verse 4:158 means that the likeness of Hadhrat JesusAS was cast upon another person--Judas or somebody else who was then crucified in place of Hazrat Jesusas.

REFUTATION: The curious part of it is that there is not only one story that speaks of the casting of the likeness of Hadhrat JesusAS, there are several stories. But intelligent commentators like Abu Hayyaan have discarded all such stories. The word Shubbiha means, he was made to appear like, or was made to resemble. Now the question arises, who is the person who was made to appear "like one crucified". Clearly it was Hadhrat JesusAS whom the Jews tried to crucify or slay. Nobody else can be meant here, for there is absolutely no reference to any other person in the context. The context cannot be twisted as to make room for somebody else of whom no mention at all is made in the verse. To what then was Hadhrat JesusAS made like? The context provides a clear answer to

Would Iran destroy Israel in a war?

Iran is not like any Arab nations, it is a real country, not a country carved by land out on and in. Unless you want to mess with Iran, simply, no one wants to.However, if Iran attacks Israel, Iran will face a retaliation. Iran has little allies, but Russia and China. They aren’t always with Iran, they are hunger for Israeli technologies, although China doesn’t trust Israel since Israel sells weapons and drones to its rivals Vietnam, South Korea and India.Meanwhile, Israel can potentially have entire of NATO and the USA on their side. Not just say, Turkey, as a Muslim nation and NATO member, can persuade entire of Islamic world to stay away from the conflict because Turkey isn’t Israel’s enemy. To remind, Turkey and Albania, together with Azerbaijan, are the three Islamic nations allying with Israel against Iran, and Azerbaijan and Turkey always dislike the Islamic Republic of Iran. The other side is the lack of popular support for Iranian regime. This fact is very little known outside, but many Iranians in Iran hate the Ayatollah Islamic Republic and fiercely hostile against the Government. They definitely would be the first to welcome the West, and if I am not wrong, the number of Iranians who hate the regime is very high, to 70%. If the West touches on this fact, the Islamic Republic would have been destroyed from inside. Thus it explains why Iranian Government has to maintain large military force to control the people, fearing any military involvements would cause them to collapse. Don’t forget Afghanistan, the Taliban brainwashed the world at 1990s that many Afghans were loyal to Taliban, only to found out they were overthrown by those “loyalists” in 2001 when the West bombed.Having said that, Iranian military is capable and they definitely can withstand very long war between Israel+allies and Iran themselves, but Iran would suffer a tremendous defeat and even the death of the Ayatollah. The only different is Iran would lose more heroically than Iraq or Syria.

What is the justification (legal or otherwise) to Israel's increasing occupation of Palestine's territory?

Here's the justification (legal or otherwise) from '100,000:The Jewish people got screwed over (understatement!) by Europeans. The Arabs people (in general and particularly those leaving in British controlled Palestine )- ALSO got screwed over by Europeans. Both peoples have since been forced to fight over the same scrap of land - promised to both more or less at the same time (the later stages of WWI) and by the same people (looking at you France and Britain!).So, if you live in Europe, especially Western Europe (and particularly the UK)  -  the answer to your question is that the justification is the legacy of the utter screw-up that was the handiwork of your great-grandparents!Sorry, but that's the truth - whenever I see Europeans protesting something about the middle-east I think oh man, give us a break. If it wasn't for your murderous regimes and crony capitalism we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place - Jews would still be living fairly peacefully across Europe and Arabs would be selling their oil peacefully and maybe even benefiting from it a little (the benefit today is reserved for the all powerful 0.1% - to whom btw Israel is a godsend in their propaganda war against their own people). But that is all history - nowadays the reason for the situation and the war is that it benefits the regimes - Israeli big businesses will get to sell more weapons (they see peace as a danger to their livelihood) and Hamas will become stronger because it thrives on hatred to Israel as part of the previously mentioned propaganda war against their own people (Hamas really needs Israel).Ultimately it's not about justifications or even about nations or peoples fighting (although most Israeli and Palestinians are so enraged by propaganda and war by now that they would probably disagree) - it's the regimes that are fighting - they just did a really swell job of mobilizing the people and making them believe it's about morals or security or peace or whatever (modern propaganda is awesome powerful). And let me just finish by adding that this kind of thing has been pretty much the norm since the dawn oh human civilizations (so don't feel too bad if you're Europeans - it's all very human).

Do Palestinians support Hamas?

My family doesn’t for two main reasons.Islamism-My family doesn’t want Islam pushed down their throats, plain and simple. They are Christians, and like basically everyone else in the Christian community, they do not support any Islamist group. Hamas almost instituted mandatory hijab for everyone in Gaza, and my family was really angry about that being proposed. In addition, it’s isolating to minorities when you have the whole state revolve around Islam, a religion they don’t even practice. It makes us feel like they don’t care about us.Really Bad GovernanceWhile Israeli and Egyptian blockade is in large part to blame for the situation in Gaza, Hamas hasn’t managed it well either and contributes to the problems. Hamas spends a lot of its money on rockets and weapons against Israel while they don’t do much to solve the most pressing issues of the sewage and water crises occurring there. Also, Hamas does nothing to try and alleviate the population crisis in Gaza, and they’ve sometimes made it worse, by suggesting women have massive families. Gaza will become a tougher and tougher place to live with each new person who lives there. Hamas needs to push for people to have smaller families or else the Strip will be uninhabitable.Do some Palestinians support Hamas? Yes, but their level of support is much lower than it used to be, and if they keep mismanaging the hell out of Gaza, it’ll go even lower.

Why do Muslims only eat Halal meat and any other form of slaughtered meat is not permissible?

As a Muslim, we are ordered to slaughter the way we have been though1. During slaughter, we have to mention the name of God (Allah) else, it will not be Halal (Permissible for us to eat) .In Holy Quran, Allah (God) says to us:Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. (Quran 5;3)2. Islamic method of slaughtering animala. Animal should be slaughtered with sharp object (knife)The animal has to be slaughtered with a sharp object (knife) and in a fastway so that the pain of slaughter is minimized.b. Cut wind pipe, throat and vessels of neckZabiha is an Arabic word which means ‘slaughtered’. The ‘slaughtering’ isto be done by cutting the throat, windpipe and the blood vessels in the neckcausing the animal’s death without cutting the spinal cord.c. Blood should be drainedThe blood has to be drained completely before the head is removed. Thepurpose is to drain out most of the blood which would serve as a goodculture medium for micro organisms. The spinal cord must not be cutbecause the nerve fibers to the heart could be damaged during the processcausing cardiac arrest, stagnating the blood in the blood vessels.3. Blood is a good medium for germs and bacteriaBlood is a good media of germs, bacteria, toxins, etc. Therefore the Muslim way of slaughtering is more hygienic as most of the blood containing germs, bacteria, toxins, etc. that are the cause of several diseases are eliminated.4. Meat remains fresh for a longer timeMeat slaughtered by Islamic way remains fresh for a longer time due to deficiency of blood in the meat as compared to other methods of slaughtering.5. Animal does not feel painThe swift cutting of vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerve of the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. While dying, the animal struggles, writhes, shakes and kicks, not due to pain, but due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles deficient in blood and due to the flow of blood out of the body.Hope the answer is satisfying. Thanks

Which intelligence agency is the best: CIA, MI6 or Mossad?

I don’t know how to answer to this question. I’m not Israeli, I have nothing with Israel, but I have been exfiltrated by Mossad and I just spent 3 years to collaborate with Mossad and I think that this collaboration should be impossible with CIA or MI6. This point is also really a problem for me. The reason of this collaboration is not solved, but the collaboration is ended because of the murder of the leader of this Mossad team in this European country. Today, I’m a free electron who knows to much things because of this collaboration. I try to obtain contact with Mossad or CIA or other agencies and I don’t succeed. 15 years of investigation now rest on my head and the situation, the threat, the targets are still there, tracking me. I’m very appreciative of the Mossad’s work for this situation, but with a taste of non-ended critical operation.Mossad, they are only 1K, but they have so many sleeping dedicated agents around the World, ready any time for action. The ones, I talk are/were some of them. I don’t think that CIA and MI6, have this kind of teams. But if a team disappears, what happens with non-solved situations, because such team is quite independent and there is a lack of communication or collaboration between HQ and the team. My exfiltration by Mossad as part of this operation cost so much money. This operation required 15 years of investigation. And now? With the current events, in Europe, it should be important to solve this situation but there is nobody anymore… Since the leader of this team is dead, the targets can move freely.
