He was son of landowner in Essex, though not of noble birth. Served as a longbowman in the Hundred Years war then moved on to the White Company, a band of mercenaries, and started to call himself a knight, though it isn’t clear who knighted him and if it was ever official. Fought for all kinds of factions in war torn Italy and ended up on long term contract to Florence. He died a wealthy man having earned a ton of money from the Pope and Italian city states, plus money from sacking places that didn’t pay up and bribes from other places wanting him and his company to go away without sacking them.

Train, train, train.Go find a job in army.Depending on your level or money you can have access to factions with bonuses or can buy enhancers (that cost an awful lot of money).But ultimately you train, gain access to better gym and train more.According to Torn City Fighting StatsThere are four one-use Items called Stat Enhancers which can give you a permanent stat increase. There is one for each of the stats:Skateboard: +1% SpeedParachute: +1% DexterityBoxing Gloves: +1% DefenceDumbbells: +1% StrengthAdditional items/ways:Education: Completing certain courses in the Sports Science group will give you additional bonus percentages to stat gains in the Gym. Also, a large variety of courses will give you passive bonuses on your existing stats.Sports Sneakers: Increase your speed gains by 5%, if you have this item in your inventory.
