What are good places for a 17 year old girl to work at?

Try Chick Fil-A. Chick Fil-A is a great starting out first time job. If you plan to go to college, Chick Fil-A has a scholarship program that can help you pay for some of your college, so I have heard. Also try Publix! Try aiming for jobs that pay you more than minimum wage ( Minimum wage here Georgia is $7.25) When I was 17 I worked at IHOP waitressing. Remember if you waitress more than likely you will get paid $2 and something an hour because alot of your pay comes from your tips. Try Subway. You dont have to go into Retail. Try working in a place you know you would excell with your skills. Hope this helps.

Is Dillard's a good place to work?

I work at Dillards and I will say that it is what you make it. I like selling and I enjoy men's fashion, so most of the time I enjoy working there. I also go in everyday with the attitude that I will engage every customer and attempt to make the most of every sell. If you can do that, then you will do fine.

However, I wouldn't say it is a fun place to work. Most everyone B*tches and Moans daily about 1) How dead it is in their dept. 2) How the Sales Goals are unfair 3) The fear of a paycut 4) Someone "stealing" their sale. All are related.

Dillard's system of pay is totally to blame for the negative enviroment. It makes you either a "shark" or apathetic. The Sharks have been there for years and will take you out at the knees if you approach a customer within 30 feet of them. That is how they have learned to survive in that system. The apathetic employees have been smacked around by the sharks and they are waiting to be put out of their misery via pay cuts and termination, or waiting for the next job to come through. The key is to focus on your service and sales and not get caught up with all the drama. It can be quite difficult but it can be done.

If you are looking for a decent wage and are serious about working, give it a shot. If you are looking for fun and to make friends, keep on looking....

Where is the place for a 20-year-old guy to live while working in downtown LA?

To answer that question, with such a wide variety of options in the area, it helps to know a bit about your needs and, even more importantly, your price range. And if you are willing/planning to have roommates, do you have pets and do you need parking for a car.Otherwise, 90% of what anyone suggests with be useless. And that is likely why no one has answered this yet. Thanks

Good Job for a 20 year old?

I am a 20 year old male looking for some direction. I want to take a year or two off from college to try some stuff out, so I'd appreciate any opinions anyone could give me on what places would hire me. I don't care what job it is or how many hours are required, just something I could get quickly and that pays well.

Where's a good place for a 20 year old to meet other Gay men?

I googled Youth Group Colorado Springs and saw:

http://www.insideoutys.org/

Which is a youth gay and lesbian center in Colorado Springs.

Here's the thing: it's easy to judge the people you first meet at GSA's and PFLAG and GLBT Centers and the like. None of them is likely to be Mr. Right for you.

But at any of these places you can make gay friends, and that's what's important. If you can have fun with them, you can accept them and like yourself more. You will meet other guys through them, who can be friends or...?

Gay dating can be really harsh unless you have support. A lot of guys are like some straight guys-- they just want sex. Relationships are definitely possible, you just have to find guys who want that.

Other places to meet young gay guys: gyms, Frontrunners, gay swimming leagues, dancing (in a year), gay churches (Pikes Peak MCC http://ppmcc.org/ ), etc. Make friends first, wait at least 4 dates or 3 weeks before getting sexual and go slow, use a condom (many don't)....
