If there isn’t a possibility you will buy one of the instruments on display, do not pick one up. Do not play it. Leave them alone. It’s not a library, it’s a store. The people working at the store are there to make money by selling things. They are not an audience and do not personally care about your music.

What are some good Thrash Metal songs to play on guitar?
I made the newbie mistake of learning Metallica before anything else, and it took me months to correct my technique, I used to downpick everything... honestly, Hetfield has inhuman right arm stamina to downpick everything the way he does... anyway, a pretty good song to work on finger dexterity for me is Lucretia by Megadeth... that intro riff helped my picking more than one year of learning every Metallica rhythm section ever did... The Tornado of Souls intro helps a lot with learning how to bar, and the solo is simple yet complex enough to challenge you. Don't learn Slayer, it'll set you back, you'll lose melody and everything will have an annoying extra ring to it (Pre-Reign Slayer like Kill Again is ok, and so is most of Seasons in the Abyss, but don't even go near the rest). Currently my favorite thrash songs to play are Megadeth - Ashes in Your Mouth, Kick the Chair, Wake up Dead, and Liar Metallica - Jump in the Fire, Creeping Death, Master of Puppets (you can't have but have a big stupid grin on your face the first moment you get the MoP riff down perfectly) Anthrax - I Am The Law, Panic, Armed & Dangerous Death Angel - Ultra-Violence Testament - Over the Wall, Eerie Inhabitants (especially the intro solo), and the Electric Crown solo (very jazzy solo) Also, the Power Rangers theme is so f*cking fun to play
