There are a couple of films with the same premise: Do You Know Me? (2009 TV movie) IMDb synopsis: Ellie Carter (Rachelle Lefevre) is recently graduated and has it all. While celebrating with friend and boyfriend, she comes across a milk carton with a picture of a missing child that looks a lot like her. As a prank, they call the toll free number and she realizes that this person could be her. The more she finds out, the closer she gets to getting herself and beloved ones killed. What are the best teen movies ever?
I hate how no one ever mentions this beautiful movie: ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ (2012). It’s VERY raw of a movie.It challenges all the major struggles a teenager might go through. Depression, sex, drugs, friends, grades, family, and much more. It is one of the most dense movies in terms of topics, but yet, is passed over as a must-show movie for teenagers.Everything that occurs in this movie are very realistic and can happen. It should be made aware to teenagers these days.Suicide is not just things “some” people do. No, a lot of teenagers suffer depression and have suicidal thoughts.Abortion actually happens. It sucks to get one. It’s painful. But yes, many teenage women face this hardship.Sexual predators are out there. I do not know why they are mentally and psychologically wired this way, but there are people out there that prey on children. It’s sickening and there has to be more awareness for this.Homosexuality can happen at a young age. It causes confusion and they need guidance. They also need protection from people that belittle/mock/beat it.Drugs are VERY real amongst high school students. Whether it’s adderall, weed, or even worse, these are quite accessible around the US especially.I recommend this movie for all entering high school. Yes, it’s quite exposing and in my opinion should be NC-17 and NOT merely PG-13, but it is what it is. Must-watch film for all teenagers and above.
