Google Chrome Proxy Server Not Working

Google Chrome Proxy Error?

So, whenever I try to open Google Chrome (or IE) I am "Unable to connect to the proxy server". This is Error code: ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED. It says that I need to go to the Chrome menu then settings and so on until I get to the LAN settings and it says to de-select "Use a proxy server for your LAN", but under my LAN settings it's set up with an automatic configuration so everything is greyed out and I can't un-check any boxes. It says to disable automatic configuration so I can manually configure the settings (thus being able to un-check "use proxy server for your LAN"), but I don't know how to do this. So, I need someone to tell me how to disable automatic configuration for LAN settings, or just how to fix this whole problem another way so I can get on the internet. I'm using Windows 8, by the way.

What is the use of " bypass proxy for local server" in Google Chrome settings?

The Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses option in Windows 8's Internet Options dialog enables you to circumvent an active proxy when accessing local resources. In general, Windows recognizes addresses like "http://intranet" as a local address and bypasses the proxy. However, if you add periods or use an IP address, such as "http://intranet.network.work" or "http://192.168.1.100," Windows fails to recognize the address as local. Therefore, if you need to bypass these local addresses, add manual exceptions for them.Internet Explorer and Chrome both rely on the Internet Options settings for proxy information, so you don't need to configure them separately.Firefox optionally uses its own proxy settings, so you might need to add exceptions in Firefox. Click "Firefox | Options | Options | Advanced | Network | Settings" and enter exceptions in the No Proxies For box, separated by commas. This option is only available when using the "Manual Proxy Configuration" option.

Google Chrome showing an DNS Error?

I have tried EVERYTHING this stupid error has told me to do. I've done it multiple times, and I've searched online for answers to fix this. Google Chrome was working perfectly fine a few hours ago! Now I go to get on it and it shows the error below. Please help!?
"This webpage is not available
The server at www.google.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the web service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.
Check your DNS settings. Contact your network administrator if you're not sure what this means.
Try disabling network prediction by following these steps: Go to Wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood and deselect "Predict network actions to improve page load performance." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.
Try adding Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or check with your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.
If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, try the following steps: Go to Wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address."

How do I record a Google page using a proxy server in JMeter?

Well I am trying performance/load testing in a locally hosted network. When you set manual proxy and check " Manual Proxy configuration: 127.0.0.1" then you cannot browse pages in internet. Try changing the settings for "No Proxy for:" which for now should only include "localhost, 127.0.0.1" and include "Google".It might work as this is just a guess.

Google chrome could not connect to 192.168.1.21 (Portforwarding)?

You say "I have a mac". Well... I have seven Macs, and all are different. Older OS versions work differently from the latest (OS 10.8.5), so since no clue what you have, my answer is for OS 10.8.5.

To see a computer's IP address in the router info page, you might try http://192.168.1.1/ , log in, and then it varies with the router setup.

You can also open System Preferences > Network.

Port forwarding is arranged in the router set up, so read the router guide.
