Gopro Hero 1 Exposure

What are the differences between the GoPro Hero 5 Black and 6 Black?

First and foremost the GoPro Hero 6 and Hero 5 looks exactly the same. From the color, size, and button locations, everything is IDENTICAL! Now be WARNED, if you owned both cameras, before going outside you can highly mistakenly grab the wrong one. So double check by looking for the logo with the 5 or 6 number and you should be golden.Ok I needed to answer this big question as a backpacker which one should I buy? This really depends on what type of backpacker you are. Active adventurist backpackers like myself would really want to consider the improvement it has inside of the camera. Better image stabilization, manual exposure settings which means the Hero 6 has now the tools for more on-demand configurations. Video frame rates has been increased which allows you to shoot at 4k and incredible slow motion quality. With these new enhancements, the price is not cheap. The Hero 6 is priced at $499.00 but its well worth it. Look at some of the amazing photos below shot by a Hero 6.Therefore with all these new features and enhancements such as the stabilization, better image quality, manual exposure settings and shutter speed, this really boils down to the price. I chose the new improved enhancement over the price because this investment will last me for a while until GoPro make another release in the future.BUY GOPRO HERO 6 on Amazon for $499BUY GOPRO HERO 5 on Amazon for $397You can see more of my reviews at BackpackerCenter – MediumFollow me at BackPackerCenter.com (@backpackercenter) • Instagram photos and videos

When, why and how should I use the Protune feature on my GoPro Hero3 Black?

TLDR: You are trading storage space for more flexibility in color/exposure correction in post processing. However, most non-professional (or non-high end enthusiat) people should probably avoid it.Use Protune if you are having trouble getting the color in your video to match up to what they were in real life and you are losing shadows/highlights because the scene has a lot of dynamic range (although you don’t get THAT much more latitude). There are a lot of Youtube tutorial explain thisThis is GoPro’s official videoI like MicBergma GoPro channel as wellAnd hereHere is a Hero3 Protune specific videoHere is a Hero3 low light Protune specific videoI hope this helps.

Which one should I buy Nikon D5200 or GoPro Hero3? Please read the description before answering.

The GoPro is a pretty decent camera for wide-angle videography where you don't need to do typical video graphic stuff like control white-balance, shutter, etc. It's made for action video, and that's where it excels. The GoPro is a laughably awful camera for still photography. It has a fixed aperture, fixed focal length, a small sensor, and a very wide-angle lens (which causes the signature image distortion), and an image sensor 1/3 the size of the Nikon and 1/2 the output resolution. The GoPro has no exposure control, a fixed aperture, no film speed, no white-balance, fixed focus, and short battery life. The Nikon has multiple program exposure modes, better optics, lens options, higher light sensitivity (can shoot in much dimmer light), white balance adjustments, RAW image ability, and multiple focus modes - you have control over depth of field and composition that you do not on the HERO and you don't have the barrel distortion. As you probably expected, the action camera is best for action shots outdoors where you strap the camera to something, and the DSLR is better at taking conventional pictures (and, though it doesn't support the higher resolutions of the GoPro, the Nikon has much higher quality video).

GoPro Hero 3 wifi remote will not charge?

Nikon d3100 or Gopro hero 3 black edition?

I get the impression you really need to evaluate realistically your 'direction'...I'm a cyclist and if I want to video my journey or commute then I would have to go with something like a GoPro...I would do without, I don't rate the quality, I don't think it's good value for money. I couldn't strap a D3100 to my bike either, it's just impractical.

For your 'extreme' skateboarding videoing, go for the Go Pro, if you are interested in taking up photography as an interest then buy the D3100...two totally different products for two totally different markets.

What’s the difference between GoPro 5 and GoPro 6?

The two cameras may look the same, but there are plenty of important changes internally. The GoPro Hero6 Black is essentially an upgraded GoPro Hero5 Black with a faster internal processor which enables vastly increased performance and new capabilities. The GoPro Hero6 Black can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second (fps) and 1080p Full HD video at up to 240fps.This means fast-paced action is captured more accurately with less blurring, but also means that you can achieve super smooth slow motion effects such has half speed 4K playback and 1080p playback at up to 10x slow motion. The Hero5 Black, on the other hand, is limited to 30fps recording at 4K resolution and 120fps at 1080p. This means no slow motion mode in 4K and a less impressive 4x slow-motion effect at 1080p.HERO6 Black includes GTM for videos, allowing high-contrast shots with bright and dark regions to have improved exposure and retain details across the entire scene. While circumstances impact performance, GTM on H6 could deliver an improvement of up to two stops.HERO6 Black now supports exposures of up to 10 seconds maximum in automatic mode, where HERO5 Black was limited to 2 seconds. Epic night photos are now easier to capture than ever.In our website you can find various other differences with best expert advice as GoPro Buyer’s Guide, that helps you to select/buy best GoPro camera.

Can you make a film using a GoPro Hero 4 Black as your primary camera, along with an external microphone and the ability to switch from wide view to linear?

Using whatever action camera as a primary camera is highly NOT recommended.1) No manual exposure control (and no physical iris aperture)2) Only wide angle (unless it is super-wide or ultra-wide)3) Just any external microphone won’t do, you need a wireless system or a boom pole mic with wind shielding for any dialog. Also, GoPro or any other action camera, even Sony RX0, does not allow manual sound control whatsoever (or even it is, it is far from convenient), and sound is 80 percent of a video.I’m tired of repeating for about a decade: any action camera, GoPro or not, is a highly specialized tool, and neither a universal camera nor a fashionable accessory. It is a perfect supplement for cases when you need a camera someplace where it is impossible to mount anything else or put a manned camera, but NOT a universal standalone device. Neither, for that matter, are smartphones (even if they sometimes offer better degree of control and, sure enough, have a plethora of accessories), nor any other kind of camera. Each tool has its own set of tasks. Some tools are more versatile than others, but even greater versatility ends sooner or later, and with action cameras it ends exactly where you to not need wide angle but need proper control over image and sound, normal perspective and, if not anything else, a decent battery life.GoPro is irreplaceable for surfing, kite, aircraft, drone, in-drive automotive footage (like they do at Jay Leno’s Garage) or animal POV footage, any kind of more or less extreme outdoor activities where you need free hands, like rock-climbing, bungee jumping, wingsuit flying and what not. But not as a primary manned camera, never.

Why are my GoPro photos blurred in fast action?

Two possibilitiesYour shutter speed is too low to stop the motion In your attempts to follow the motion you are jerking the camera when pressing the shutter causing small but extreme camera motion while the shutter is open. You can tell the difference between 1 & 2 by looking at the image.  If just the moving subject is blurred then #1.  If the entire photo is blurred then #2 (unless you are in motion which reverts it to #1)In the first case try to increase your ISO so that the shutter speed is shorter during exposure.  If that cannot be done and if the subject in motion isn't the photographer then you can try panning the subject (smoothly following the motion of the subject), which is a fairly advanced skill but effective.  If the photographer is in motion and you've exhausted the previously mentioned options you may have reached the limits of the camera. In the second case use a more relaxed stance and squeeze on the shutter rather than use a quick/jerky press (much like shooting a gun).  This reduces camera shake during the exposure.  You can also stabilize against a non-moving object (tree, rock, post, etc.).

Can I use GoPro 5 black as a regular camera?

I use Hero5, Canon 80D (DSLR) and mobile camera.A GoPro can no be used as a regular camera. It does perform very well in proper lighting but once you go indoor the photo quality is not very good. There is no flash with the gopro. As per my knowledge there is no flash available, the ones that are available are LED light attachments which are switched on like a torch towards the subject.Photo clicked by me at night.Day time photos are very good in quality.
