Got In Trouble For Smoking Marijuana As Minor Need Advice

I'm a minor (17). If I tell my doctor I smoke marijuana could it get my parents in trouble?

I don’t recommend telling your doctor you do drugs unless it’s relevant. For example, I have a friend who, aged under 30, had a serious genetic heart condition she only found out about last year after nearly dying. She smokes weed for pain but weed is neither legal nor accessible for medical purposes in Estonia. When she asked her doctor, he simply didn’t know what to say. So she left none the wiser. Of course, as she is under 30, nobody cares. Laissez faire. If there is nothing wrong with you, there is no reason to talk about it to your doctor out of the blue. We as a society have a hard time accepting that drugs have been a normal part of life for as long as humanity has existed, and it’s only thanks to the practitioners of one or two specific faiths that has seen the use of psychoactive plants and compounds looked down upon. Honestly, it’s the 21’st century, we should get over it.If you really need to tell them, for whatever reason, make sure you’ve got doctor-patient confidentiality and they’re not at liberty to share the information without your consent. There’s no point in suffering for a principle and having nothing change for the better as a result.Unless your parents know and help you obtain said marijuana, they can’t get in trouble unless you get arrested for possession* or something else illegal and they have to pay your fines for you.*Check what the decriminalized amount in your area is, because it may mean the difference between simply getting a “ticket” or a fine from the officer, like you get for being intoxicated from alcohol as a minor, or actually getting arrested.

I am a 16 year old minor charged for possession of marijuana?

First of all what state are you in? Secondly your a minor nothing major will happen just a fine and community service or maybe probation. It won't go on your adult record when your eighteen no one will be able to see your juvenile record. But the state that you are in makes a big difference for example when I was young but already an adult I got caught with weed and got what is called CWOF for 2 years(continued without a finding). Which meant if I stayed out of trouble for two years the charges were dismissed and no conviction on my record. I live in Massachusetts laws are different in most states. Get a lawyer or a public defender one will be appointed to you for free if you ask. Funny thing is, today marijuana posession in Massachusetts is no longer a criminal offence. It's just a civil fine like a speeding ticket. But have your parents talk to the public defender to get the facts and laws for you particular situation. Public defender might be able to just get you a small fine and none of the other bullshit. Just don't go pleading guilty without talking to a lawyer or public defender (same thing one is free one isn't). Good luck your future is just as bright now as it ever was don't worry in a year or two when you turn eighteen no one will ever know this happened to you. Good luck. Don't smoke weed again until it is legal!!! Or at least make sure your in massachusetts. lol

I got arrested for marijuana possession, I need advice.?

I was arrested yesterday for marijuana possession. I was smokin a little bud with some friends, then we all went out for a cigarette afterwards, then the police show up, I got arrested because of a "concerned neighbor - aka this mean old lady across the street". However, I was wondering what some possible good legal advice would be because I noticed a couple of things that were slightly, crooked, about this pig.. er uh i mean "police officer". When my dad came to pick me up at the police station, the police officer told me that they scaled 4 grams on me, I KNOW there was NOT 4 grams there, I told my friends I wanted to save enough for one bowl for the morning, that is nowhere near 4 grams. The second thing I remembered today when I woke up was, when I got arrested yesterday, the police never read me my miranda rights! So, basically, any good legal advice would be appreciated and any information about what's going to happen to me, oh and as a side note I am 17 years old and was arrested and live in indiana.

How does a minor bring a vape on a plane without getting in trouble?

Travel all the time with vape; it's fairly simple, never had an issue. As others said; they are not going check ID while at the TSA belt for underage vape, not there job. They are looking for items that do not belong on a airplane.1. Put into clear 1 quart sized ziplock bag with the rest of bathroom liquids (if you have any). 2. Store in carry-on; never put lithium batteries in checked luggage. 3. If you have extra lithium batteries make sure they are secured; i usually tape into my charger.4. When you go through TSA checkpoint; pull ziplock bag out and put in a gray container bin with nothing on top; and not packed into bag. This avoids any secondary checks. As they can easily see what it is.Alternatively if you want to be extra paranoid; you could always put the vape in your checked in bag as long as you can remove the batteries. Then just put the batteries in carry-on and go through security checkpoint with just the batteries. 90% of the airports do NOT have a smoking section after TSA; so you are stuck without vape until baggage claim anyway.note: leftover liquid in vape does not seem to cause any issues in TSA line CPs; but the air pressure changes when you travel make a HUGE mess and basically make the tank leak all over. Recommend not having any e-liquid in tank.

I just caught my foster child smoking marijuana. I'm afraid if I tell the agency, they'll take him away. What should I do?

Okay, if every child who smoked pot got taken away then 75% of foster kids would have nowhere to stay…If your case manager is worth a crap, they will get the child in counseling to properly deal with the issues that led to this drug abuse. Did you provide the marijuana? Did you approve of it's use? There's no valid reason for rhe child to be removed from your home unless you ASK that they be removed. However, if they find out you knew and did not inform them, you will find that your consequences will be far worse than having the child removed. You could risk losing your license and even criminal neglect charges.I deal with the department on a daily basis, and I grew up in the system. So I have a bit of experience on the subject. And yes, I know that a child smoking pot on the property of a foster parent DID NOT result in the removal of said child. It's up to YOU to make sure they understand you are asking for resources to help the child, not asking to have the child removed as a “problem child”. You also need to detail the steps you have taken to increase supervision since the occurrence, what consequences you administered, whether that be talking to rhe child about their actions, or whatever else was involved. You have to be willing to fight for that child as if they were your own.

What gets parents mad about marijuana?

I'm not totally sure I understand where your parents are coming from either. If my child decides to smoke pot, I most likely won't care so long as he is doing everything(and I mean everything) he is supposed to be doing. i.e. going to school every single day, making good grades, holding a job(if he needs one), doing chores and staying out of trouble. If he decides to slack off in any of those aspects, it's over. He won't see pot again unless he proves to me he can handle how it effects him.

:Edit: Pot isn't a gateway drug. Most people who smoke pot, only smoke pot. They go to their day jobs and come home and relax, then do it all over again the next day. You'd be surprised how many people you know smoke.

People don't go to jail for pot anymore unless they have an excessive amount and they're selling. Most of the people who are answering your question don't have their facts straight.

What happens when a minor fails a drug test, due to marijuana, and gets caught?

but they said if the laboratory finds marijuana in my system then they can turn it in and then child services will contact us. which is pretty scary. i live in california and i've been trying to look up the child services website but its hard to find what im looking for so i asked on here. one of the doctors mentioned bootcamp or something. which my family cant afford. and the last time i smoked was last last sunday . on the 29th of march . i know its still in my system but i haven't done it . and i dont plan on doing it again for now since im getting into too much trouble. and i quit smoking cigs too.
