Got Suspended For Suspision Of Theft Will I Get Fired

I got suspended from work for 3 days will i get fired?

I have 4 prior call ins in a span of 7 months and now i just got a no call no show because i guess i didn't call in early enough and got a 3 day suspension. The manager said he was actually sorry and its just company policy. I work retail on 3rd shift and everyone on my team has gotten a 2 day suspension for to many call ins, but im worried because of the no call no show for me. He gave me the suspension and then just told me to look at the new schedule when they post it next week. My main concern is do you think i will get fired?

Got suspended from work? will I be fired?

Okay so I was told I was suspended from work for a day... I was never given the date of when but they said one day for letting someone go with a three dollar item for free because I assume it didn't ring up. I wasn't told when to not go to work so I am still assuming I should go in the next day I'm scheduled. I hate my job a lot but really need the pay right now and am having no luck finding another job. What would you do? It was an accident but I didn't even physically see the transaction this occurred...

Suspended from work...?

I went to clock in to work on Aug. 30th and was stopped by my district manager. He had me sit down with him and the general manager and informed me I was being suspended on suspicion of giving away free food and that there was a 'pending investigation' case open and the results would be in by September 1st (end of suspension). I was then told on September 1st he would like me to be at work by 5PM to talk to a HR representitive directly; I wasn't asked to bring in my uniform or anything of the sort. I don't know what to expect, this has never happened to me.

I realize this isn't exactly a question and being as though I can't ask you all directly, "what's going to happen?", all I'm asking for is any feedback / past experiences. They will be more than appreciated. THANK YOU!

Help anyone!!! I just got fired from sears!!!?

sears doesnt have any respect for its hard workers. i too was fired from sears in december of 07. ive worked there for a year and half as a sales associate (the best one in my dept). they told me that i could use them as a reference but i couldnt reapply. so i guess that would apply to you too. so its probably best for you to just apply elsewhere

Register coming up short? Going to get fired?

First of all, you need to speak to the manager about the lack of proper cash handling procedures. Before becoming a paralegal, I was a cash office manager for major retail chain.

Under no circumstances is someone else supposed to use your drawer!!! You probably signed a document saying this in your orientation and didn't care to really read what it says. It sounds like the supervisors and managers at your place of business are lazy and trying to cut corners. It makes more work for them to issue a drawer each time someone changes shift.

I would immediately write a letter to the manager and hand deliver it to her/him for your file protesting this. Keep a copy for yourself. State exactly what has been happening. State that you are being forced to allow multiple people to use your drawer and from now on, you would like to count your drawer before your shift, after your shift, and that no one else be allowed to ring on it.

Either one of two things is going to happen. You're going to get fired because of the past mistakes, or you might actually get to prove that it isn't you handing out the wrong change.

I think if you explain to potential employers that you were forced to allow other people to ring on your drawer, you weren't allowed to count the drawer prior to your shift, or when you ended your shift, you may be granted leniency. I know when I hired, I gave people a second chance and more times than not...there were someone crooked at their last place because money was never an issue.

Good luck and don't let them treat you this way. You are responsible for that cash and someone is stealing. Demand that you are able to count before, after and that you want someone to sign off on it. That is the way cash drawers are SUPPOSED to be handled. This place is doing a poor job. Report them to the higher ups if you have to. I think your suspicions are right. They are trying to peg it on the employees.

How long do HR investigations usually take?

As people have already answered, it depends on many factors. It could go from days to weeks to months…As HR Professional, one tries to conduct all investigations as soon as possible (1–2 weeks), but sometimes it does not depend entirely on HR only. For example, if an investigation requires examining an employee’s computer, HR may not have expertise in computer forensics and must engage with a third party.I think it is worth mentioning that one thing is the actual investigation and another thing is the decision taken based on the outcome of the investigation.HR carries the investigation and writes a report with the facts and a recommendation of actions to take. But the actual decision typically depends on someone else in the top management of the company.Even if the investigation takes only 1 or 2 weeks, the decision might take much longer.

Under Investigation at work for theft?

I am currently under investigation at work for accidentally not paying for two $0.33 barbecue sauces....I have never done anything wrong before and was wondering if I would get fired for this incident?
