Grade Moderations And How Its Done

Why did CBSE remove the moderation policy for grade 12 students (didn't it just reduce the peace and happiness of students)?

No

What is the moderation policy for ISC?

CISCE has unofficially agreed to the no moderation policy proposed for the evaluation of answer scripts by CBSE in 2017.Initially, the moderation policy of CISCE included (to the best of my knowledge and understanding) the following:-Giving keyword marking in subjects like English Literature, Indian Languages and most of the Humanities subjects where keywords are preferred over writing ability of students.Ample step marking in the Science and Commerce subjects involving numericals.Giving grace marks to students short of a few marks from the passing marks to give them a passing grade or to all students for question papers that are regarded (by students, teachers etc.) as harder or offbeat than the conventional standard.Lenient checking and an array of correct alternative choices to be accepted as answers of the questions. However, from this year, it is likely for the above policy to be deposited in cold storage under the no moderation policy proposal of CBSE, though the official website hasn’t given any notification regarding this decison. Thanks for A2A.P.S- While it is generally considered that giving grace marks only is regarded as ‘moderation’,for CISCE ‘moderation’ relates to ways of increasing the pass percentage of students and all of the above fall under this category. This answer is my personal opinion and different views from others will always be welcomed and appreciated.

Is the upgradation of grades done in class 7?

A2A by Aparna RaiIt depends on your school.CBSE does not prepare the result of class 7 of every school. They do it for class 10 and class 12, where, grades are upgraded and/or moderation provided respectively. So, if your school follows the policy of upgradation of grades, they will be upgraded. If not, then no.Better ask your teachers or seniors.Hope this helps!! Good luck!

How does CBSE moderation for class XII work?

According to moderation policy, evaluators are asked to revise marks of some students higher based on the set of questions they received during their exams and the perception of how tough their paper was, says a Hindustan Times report. So if the board tested students on three different sets of questions papers for the same exam, a student who may have scored 80 percent on the question paper viewed to be the toughest could have her marks revised higher. Soon after the exams were held this year, the government said the practice will be discontinued with immediate effect for several boards, including CBSE.It is not clear whether the marks moderation policy is different from the 'grace marks' policy, in which marks of students scoring below the passing line are pushed higher. The HT report quoted a source as saying yesterday's judgment was unlikely to 'delay' CBSE 12th Results 2017. "Even if we have to apply the moderation policy, it will not cause a lot of delay because everything is done scientifically," a source told the paper, which added that the results will likely be out this week.

How does the CBSE 15% moderation policy works?

The moderation marks usually differs for every subject and even with every student. So I don't think it's exactly 15%. For eg. students with Mathematics may get 7% in moderations where as Physics papers may get 10%. So we really don't know the exact number. Moderation has been a common practice in Indian Boards and those thinking these moderation started from last year isn't true. At the same moment we really don't know from when did this practise come in existence. I mostly think it started when the JEE started giving weightage to Board results.I tried to research on this topic but the information which is available I believe is not reliable and mostly fake. Moderation or Standardisation has higher advantage for those students who have attempted a set for a particular subject which was easy, as the Board may try to make them par with those students who attempted a tougher set. So they end up getting even more marks. At the end, you will get more marks. So don't worry. Everything will be fine. I will update my answer if I get any new reliable information in hand to me.Just sit back and relax. Wishing my batch mates all the very best!

Will CBSE continue with the moderation policy for 2018 board exams?

After a long debate, the CBSE is finally planning to do away with the tradition of giving grace marks to the students in class 12 board exams from the next academic session.According to the report from Times now, the board is planning to dispose-off its moderation policy which is the main reason for the soaring marks in class 12.Earlier, on April 25 CBSE announced that it will no longer continue its moderation policy by the means of notification but in a reply to plea filed by the students, Delhi High Court instructed the board to continue its grace marks policy, for this year.Statement form the board officialAccording to the report by Times Now, a senior board official said "they want to ensure true marks of students are reflected in the board examination and to maintain the pass party, marks of students are moderated. This is unfair to those who work hard as moderation is not applicable if a student gets 95 marks or above".Statement from Prakash JavadekarWhile commenting on the grace marks policy, the Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on June 24 said that "generous marks distribution of marks will soon stop. I will stop bad practices in the field of education"."Students have to work hard to earn marks. It isn't possible that everybody scores 100 out of 100 in all subjects. There should be some restrictions while awarding marks,"Javadekar added. Also, there are speculations that from 2018 there will be a single paper for all students throughout India which was earlier followed by three different sets of papers as this will eliminate the need of moderation policy.Awaiting for your upvotes! :)

What do guys like in a girl in 6th grade? guys answer only?

I'm an eighth grade guy who has had my experience in sixth grade. I won't say you're too young, I know how it is.
Well to start, guys generally like it more when you wear a little makeup, and hair down, along with a low-ish cut shirt (but not too low!). It's all about moderation, you don't want to come on too strong. First make him notice you by talking to him. If he stares at you, it's good. If he doesn't, it's still ok, just keep at it. Plus, just be who you are and come out with it and talk to him. Guys hate always having to be the one to approach a girl. Give him a sign and be aggressive
Good luck
