Top 10 Greatest NBA Players of All Time?

1. Wilt- best scorer of all-time, best rebounder of all-time, best shot blocker.

2. Kareem- 6 time MVP, 6 rings, all-time leader scoring

3. Larry Bird- Best combination of skills, scoring, passing, rebounding, best basketball IQ!

4. Bill Russel- Second best rebounder all-time, 11 rings in 13 years, great competitor

5. Oscar Robertson- Averaged triple double for entire season, best rebounding guard, great scoring.

6. Magic Johnson- 6'8 point guard with great all round skills

7. Hakeem Alojuwon- Awsome post moves, better defence, fastest center ever!

8. Michael Jordan- Best shooting guard of all time!

9. Tim Duncan- Best power forward ever, great rebounder/shotblocker/post scorer.

10. Moses Malone- most under rated player of all time. Nobody ****** with Moses!

Your starter are pretty solid, Oscar could replace Magic but your a winner either way!

I have Hakeem and Moses beating out Kobe and Shaq!

I have read Simmons book BOB T, but I am not a sheep and can think for myself.
I watched many games Wilt vs. Russel, live and it was a special match-up.

The fact is Russel was playing ball with a team of hall of famers and Wilt was not. Wilt often out played Bill so badly he looked like a little girl out there. Russel only cared about being out played when they lost the game.

When Wilt had good teams, his team won and he was dominant. When his coaches asked him to pass more he led the league in assists/ and rebounds and f.g. % and blocks.

Wilt was so good, people have to try to discredit him, cause the numbers speak for themselves.

I saw it with my own eyes, a 7'1 athlete with a 50 inch vertical who could out sprint guards and was also the strongest man to ever play the game.

Mr. Simmons does not even believe it himself, he is a Celtic fan who hates Wilt!

I have seen them all play, the greats from the early 60's until now, and no one touchs

Wilt!

Where would you rank Tim Duncan on "greatest of all time" lists?

Duncan ranks in the top 20 IMO. Duncan was fundementally sound, not exciting but always efficient, a consummate team guy. He fit The SA Spurs system like a hand in a glove. Talent wise he could hold his own with many if not all of the top players of all time at his position. Duncan was a winner, as his career began to wind down he deferred to a young Kawhi Leonard which speaks volumes about who Tim Duncan is. Duncan was an example of everything an NBA player should be, efficient, talented, and most of all professional.

Who are your TOP TEN greatest NBA players of all time?

I used to have Wilt at #5 on my list, but after doing the research on him, I'm convinced he's top two all time and he could really play in any era. Hard to believe, but his athletic ability and speed is what convinced me. I thought today's athletes and 90's athletes might be too much for him, but his Olympic-worthy athletic ability says that he could keep up and surpass many of today's athletes. He averaged 50 PPG and 25 RPG one season in the 60's. He'd average 25 and 15 today.

Based on stats only, is LeBron James the greatest player of all time?

Not really. First I’m not a NBA expert, I just like basketball and did some research. It’s important to say that Michael Jordan played 18 years and Lebron James has played so far 12 years, so it’s difficult to compare both players because they are probably not going to play the same number of years. Let’s compare Lebron James with Michael Jordan so far, based on statistics.Michael Jordan:6 NBA Championships, 15 NBA Seasons, 13 Playoffs played, 14 All-Star games, 5 Season MVP and 6 Finals MVP.Lebron James:2 NBA Championships, 13 NBA Seasons, 11 Playoffs played, 12 All-Star games, 4 Season MVP and 2 Finals MVP.If Lebron plays 2 more NBA Seasons and win the finals, he would have played the same number of seasons Jordan played and he would have 4 NBA Championships compared to 6 of Jordan. This is one of the examples were Jordan wins. You can see more statistics here and compare yourself:LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan ComparisonIf we compare the NBA Regular Season Stats and the NBA Playoffs Stats, we can see that each one is better than the other in very specific things. Which makes it difficult to compare.

Is Stephen Curry the greatest of all time?

Stephen Curry is an anomaly. The way he shoots the ball, on any other team, in any other era, he would have been benched for good after his first attempt. Imagine Larry Brown or Gregg Popovich seeing him jack a shot from nowhere like that, how long before they try to discipline him?Having a coach like Steve Kerr, so laid back and smart, might have been the single most important thing to happen to Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Kerr has no ego whatsoever, lets his team play, doesn’t get phased by anything. It’s what makes him so great.Stephen Curry benefits from the exceptional surroundings as a Golden State Warrior, succeeding where Steve Nash fell short with the Phoenix Suns. He made shots, plays, got everybody to buy into his own style of play, and everybody flourished. It’s a truly amazing success story. His unwavering confidence lifted everybody around him. Now, put him in a toxic environment like New York, with weaker teammates and a less confident coaching staff, and he might never have become the player that he is. They would self-destroy in no time.So Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors changed the NBA, made a career out of it and are reaping the rewards for such a bold decision (or string of big decisions). They deserve everything they have now. It’s a unique situation. So Stephen Curry is probably the best shooter ever, the guys never misses. As part of the Golden State Warriors, he is awesome. But since they needed Kevin Durant to achieve and sustain greatness, none of them can be considered the best, individually. There are two MVPs and multiple all-stars on that squad, which makes for an amazing team. But it’s harder to single out any one of them for best ever.KD before coming to Golden State never won a championship. Curry on any other ball club might still be great, but would he be able to succeed and win championships?
