Greatest Overall Shotgun A Civilian Can Own

Is the SPAS 12 shotgun legal to own for a civilian?

well, depending on where you live almost any weapon is legal to own if you have the correct tax stamps, licenses, etc.

I'm fairly certain that Franchesi produces a model which isn't full auto capable which would more than likely be legal to own in many places without a tax stamp or class license.

EDIT: Franchi SPAS12 isn't full auto. WTF was I thinking? disregard this post in completeitude when it comes to the shotgun portion.

a 357 DEagle is most likely legal to own almost anywhere in the country, but honestly why would you want one? an HK USP chambered for .357 SIG is much better quality and easier to train on targets. A S&W 686 is chambered for the .357 Mag and you can shoot .38s through it as well.

DEagles are, in my opinion, just for ghetto rollers and movie big shots.

(that being said, I'd probably own one it was cheap or given to me but only for fun..never for service or defense.)

Is a civilian legally allowed to own a masterkey shotgun attachment for an assault rifle?

as been said, you'd have to get a SBS tax stamp permit from the ATF, and you'd have to either get a gun converted by a licensed maker of NFA items, or find one on the market and have it transferred by a class 3 dealer. it'd be rare and expensive and you'd double the weight of your rifle.

and your state might ban you from hunting with an SBS or purchasing one. as someone mentioned, Serbu Super Shorties, are AOWs, if i remember correctly and they don't mount under anything.

you'd be looking at more trouble than it'd be worth.

Are civilians allowed to own M-4 Carbines?

Your Question
Are civilians allowed to own M-4 Carbines?
If M4's are allowed to be owned by civilians then why do most people suggest shotguns as the best gun for self defense? I don't know much about guns yet, but I feel it is my religious duty to know how to use a gun in order to protect myself or others. I'm a Sikh and Guru Gobind Singh encouraged his followers to practice the use of the musket in order to protect themselves and any other innocent people. Obviously today muskets are not really used (although they can be valuable for preserving history), so I figure the modern day equivalent would be whatever gun the military uses today, which I believe is the M4.

I'm guessing that it would be illegal to carry an M4 in public, but is there any laws against bringing a M4 to a shooting range etc? I've also heard that fully automatic weapons are illegal, so what is the closest legal equivalent?

What about using an M4 for protecting your family in your home?

I know this is a bit far fetched, but what about if someone started shooting people in a public place and the police were for some reason unable to reach the area at the current moment. What would be the legal implications if a civilian with paramilitary training and body armor ran over with his M4 in a desperate attemt to stop the murderer?

M1014 shotgun for civilian purchase?

The Benelli M4 runs at around $1,600 new (at Cabelas anyway.)

You have to be 18 to own a shotgun or rifle in the US.

Yes, civilians can purchase it.

Can a civilian own an SV-98 rifle in the US?

License? To own a bolt action rifle?

When you're 18 and have the money as long as you aren't a criminal just go to whatever store has those kinds of things and buy it. Or buy it online and have it sent to an FFL near you.

That simple.

I think you grandiosely misunderstand gun laws in the United States. We are free people with a right to own firearms. It is not a privilege granted by the government that one needs a license for. Unless, of course, you live in one of the places that has decided to suspend the Bill of Rights, in which case: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. Use all 4 boxes if needed, in that order, to get your rights back.

What is the best assault rifle a civilian can own?

Yup, "Assault Weapon" is nothing more than a political term crafted by liberals to describe black-finished guns that make them want to crap their pants.

But as far as magazine-fed light rifles are concerned, theres a million different options to go with. It's hard to go wrong with an AK-47 or an AR-15 platform. The AK is CHEAP, rarely jams, and you can still get surplus ammo for a reasonable price. An AR is accurate, simple to take apart for cleaning, and there are limitless aftermarket customization options for it. These are your two most popular options.

Other choices are just as good, but it's all a matter of personal preference. If you want something high-tech, you could pick up an FN FS2000 bullpup. Compact, accurate, and uses AR-15 magazines. If your thinking about a pistol caliber rifle, you might be happy with a Beretta Cx4 or a Calico M-900.

Myself, I've been thinking about buying a Kel-Tec SU-16C. It's an economical carbine with an underfolding stock, a forend that converts into a bipod, and takes AR-15 magazines. However, it utilizes a traditional rifle grip rather than a pistol grip.

Just research the market carefully and figure out what you like. Take all things into consideration and make an educated purchase.

What are the three best semi-automatic weapons that a civilian can own in America for a doomsday scenario?

Glock 17 or 19 in 9mm because of ease of use and ammunition and parts availability. Not to mention that you can have 6 broken parts (the parts that actually break the most in fact) on a glock and the gun will still function 5 of the parts regardless of how you shoot it ( the three pins, locking block, firing pin safety) and one of them as long as you don't mash the trigger and do a proper trigger reset (trigger return spring).Remington 870 or Mossberg 500/590Lot of accessories, doesn't break too often, can be set up for individuals12 gauge with lots of ammo availability and can be used for small to big game as close distances. Will work in almost any environment.AR15The AR15 is easy to shoot safely and easy to shoot for new shooters. It has a mild recoil and ammunition is abundant and affordable. It is reliable and requires little maintenance.AR15's can be dry fired safely without snap caps (22lr's should not be because of the firing pin striking the edge of the chamber.) And dry fire manipulations can be mastered (to include muzzle control) before ammunition is made available to the new shooter.Every year thousands of new military recruits with no firearms knowledge or background cut their firearm teeth on the M4 or M16 rifle. They are good enough for small statured individuals to control and shoot safely. You can find an AR in the $525-$625 price range complete and if you are even moderately mechanically inclined you can assemble one from a parts kit and watching you tube videos for a cost of around $425 (look for sales)Once a person is comfortable with an AR15 they can branch out and obtain other guns if they choose to. If they do not choose to and only want to own one gun they have a good general purpose, easy to shoot, reliable rifle, for home defense and some small to medium game taking as well as some shooting sports.Parts, upgrades, accessories, and magazines are readably available.

Are there real shotgun attachments for guns?

yes, the army started developing it in the late 80's and is being used in the front lines now, it's basically a cut down shotgun without a shoulder stock, instead having a mount bracket to connect to a battle rifle's grenade launcher attachment mount.
