Greatest Perhaps Most Ruthless Leader In History Other Than Hitler

Why is Adolf Hitler the greatest leader in the world?

He was a genocidal maniac, obsessed with the slaughter of millions of people. He never even finished high school and appointed people as unqualified as he was to positions of authority. When Germany was losing the war and they were needed for troop movements trains and other resources were still used to transport people to concentration camps. Toward the end of the war he was ordering around nonexistent forces that had already been destroyed.

"As in the case of the Eastern Front, the German high command was also hamstrung by Hitler’s distrust of his generals and their fear of acting without his approval. This proved disastrous on D Day when Rundstedt ordered two panzer divisions to Normandy, but first requested Jodl’s approval. Jodl told Rundstedt Hitler would have to give the order and the fuehrer was sleeping. No one had the courage to wake Hitler for approval and since he slept in that day, the tanks were not moved into position.

The victory at Cherbourg was important for demoralizing the Germans, particularly after Hitler had ordered the port held at all costs. Afterward, Rommel and von Rundstedt went to see Hitler, to ask again for more troops and equipment, and to find out how he intended to win the war. Hitler’s reaction was to deny the requests, sack von Rundstedt, and replace him with Field Marshal Gunther Hans von Kluge."

The world is lucky that he was not a great leader, but just an ambitious one.

Greatest (perhaps most ruthless) leader in history other than Hitler?

Hmmm. . . interesting idea for a book! Maybe explore the highpriestess of theVRIL, which you can google, named Maria Orsic, who was the psychic who got the saucer technology for Viktor Schaumberg. . . and could maybe be worked up into a gret female character or else some of the other men involved around her, or it could help you to ficitonalise someone creatively by involveing the flying-saucer technology as an added dimension of interest. They were going to openly let everyone SEE the aliens and the saucers if the Thirdd Reich had won, and it would have been an openly interstellar culture on the Earth just like "Star Wars" but, as the aliens arrived two years too late, making a treaty with Truman ar Rosweell in 1947, the US deceided to keep alien saucer technology a s ecret from the People: sort of the point in the tv series the "X- Files". . . in which Fox Mulder kept saying, "The Truth is out there".

Is Hitler the greatest leader of all time?

you cant discount where a leader leads when evaluating them. he ultimately lead his people and country into utter destruction. fairly efficiently and in a pretty short time though.

to charles and judy:
hitler and obama were both highly schooled in hateful religions.
both were great public speakers.
Both men were of average to less than average intelligence(school records hidden)
Both men had bad relationships with their father and wanted desperately to succeed.
Both men used desperate circumstances to take more control and power than what they were legally mandated to do. (the recession.)
Both men used a lot of propaganda and serious misinformation to disseminate to the public.
Both men counted on nationalism to take them to the top.
Both men surrounded themselves with yes men and handlers and were highly unapproachable (his lead vault transparency).
I could go on but you see the similarities.
The facts in evidence here are that during hard times, people lost hope in themselves and look for a superman to lead them....even if they're going in the wrong direction. They look for an enemy to hate (bush and business) when times are hard instead of focusing on solutions to their problems. Nationalism takes over like a disease and is somehow mistaken for patriotism.

Atheists, what did/do you think of the greatest leader of America,Ronald Reagan?

He grew our government by 70% and taxed the rich by about 60% higher than Carter. He raised taxes 10 times while he was president to compensate for the wars he was in. He helped push an already sinking system into the water. He didn't fight atheism he fought communism, what happened in Russia was done in the name of Communism. If you want to look at it this way, look at what secular humanist FDR did for our country in WWII when he defeated the Catholic Christian Adolf Hitler from killing all the Jews in the name of god. The pregnancy rate under Reagan sky rocketed and our society plummeted. Once we got Reagan out of office, Bush Sr. went in and killed Conservatism forever. Clinton made Liberalism look amazing and then Bush Jr. helped kill Conservatism even further. Now that Obama is in office our economy has rebounded, job creation is higher than it has been in the last 4 years. We're actually getting stuff done in Iraq, killing Taliban leaders to weaken the army, then send in the rest of the forces. Our taxes have been lower and our health care system fixed. Wall Street reform is being backed by Reps and Dems since millions of Americans called their congressmen to help get the reform passed. Lobbyists are a thing of the past since the OFA (Organizing for America) has been calling in making sure things happen. We literally have millions upon millions of Americans voting for the liberal party in these elections because of the OFA, it's the strongest organization in the history of American politics. If you ask what I think of former president Reagan, he was one of the worst presidents we have ever had, he's worse than Carter was. I still respect him for stepping up and trying though.

What is your list of the greatest armies in history?

The army of Alexander the Great. Overran Egypt, Palestine, Mesopotamia, Persia and got as far as India.
Roman armies of Scipio, Caesar and Trajan. The latter took Dacia against strong opposition and later reached the head of the Persian Gulf.
The army of Belisarius 6th century. Finally demolished the Vandals and recaptured much of the West for Constantinople.
The army of the eastern Han--finally ejected the "proto-Huns" which the Late Romans couldn't do.
The Turkish army of the Janissaries--very effective.
Napoleon's Grand army.
The German army in WWI and even more so, in WWII--extraordinarily effective tactically, even late in the war. The main German advantage btw was not discipline--even arab armies had that--but tactical skill.
The US Army. Had the most effective artillery force and best logistical system and close air support. In 1991 it destroyed about 4,000 Iraqi tanks while losing one.
The Israeli army. Again tactical proficiency--commanders with initiative and skill, and well trained troops--was the key to great success.

What do u think of hitler as a leader?

As a leader he was one of the most influential and charasmatic leaders in modern history. Did he do bad things? Yes, we say. But that is only because he lost. Had he won, we would be praising him as the "liberator" of Western Civilization from the "tyranny" of Zionist cowards. History is written by the victors and today's despot might, had circumstances differed, be a hero.

Hitler chose to kill 6 million jews, gays, "witches", retards, etc. But how does that compare with the 15 million Africans taken in slavery to help make America the greatest nation in the world. (America became a world-power because they had a near-endless supply of not just cheap but damned near FREE labor for three hundred years). Or how does that compare with the 92 million Native Americans slaughtered to conquer the western hemisphere.

It all depends on who writes the history books and how these people are portrayed. History is an inherently biased viewpoint because the people writing it are benefitting from the outcomes they are observing.

There are many actually. Stalin and Mao probably caused more deaths then Hitler. But though their methods were absolutely ruthless and horrific, they might have thought they are serving their nation. But there are also some leaders that were just absolutely insane and ruthless. That enjoyed the pain, death and destruction they caused.Just a few:Reinhardt Heydrich. Even Hitler called him “the man with the iron heart” and some historians consider him the darkest Nazi figure. He was the architect of the Holocaust and founder of the SD and responsible for the German Einsatzgruppen (death squads). There were probably many psychopaths in the Nazi ranks, but he was definitely amongst the most ruthless.Vlad Tepes. The main inspiration for the character of Dracula, Vlad is mostly known for his extremely cruel punishments like impaling people (including all 20000 residents of Amlas; men, women and children), disemboweling, skinning, boiling/burning/roasting and cutting off body parts. While having dinner…Ivan the terrible. His name says it all. He enjoyed burning people in frying pans and was fond of impaling people. He had walls build around the city to prevent people from fleeing. Daily, between 500 and 1000 people were rounded up and tortured and killed in front of him and his son. Who he would later kill.Tamerlane. He had a tower made out of live men stacked on top of each other and cemented together. Build a minaret with 70000 heads.Generic Khan. It's estimated that around 5% of the world's population was slaughtered under his rule. If we Include other causes as well, estimates goes up to 11%. Some estimate numbers as high as 40 million. He had molten silver poured into eyes and ears and killed his half brother over a hunting dispute. The sacking of Urgench is considered to be amongst the most brutal and thorough massacres in history.

Do u think adolf hitler was the most evil man history has ever produced?

It depends on your definition of evil. Though Hitler was cruel to a certain group of people, he helped Germany recover from WWI. He did a lot to help humanity, however he also did quite a lot to hurt it. See, it really depends on what you consider evil. How about Mao Zedong. More people died under his reign than under Hitlers. The difference? Nazi Germany kept fantastic records and accounts of almost all of their actions, whereas China did not, and many deaths went unrecorded. Mao, was not out to commit genocide, like Hitler was. (though he did kill those against him) He instead was trying to bring China up to the industrial standards of the rest of the world and transitioned their entire economy into producing steel. This led to food shortages and then starvation. Perhaps not cruel, just inadequate leadership. Or if you want to take the Biblical stance, what instance in the Bible describes the greatest mass genocide of all? The great flood, which humanity survived only because of Noah and his ark. Think about that. It's scary isn't it?
