GTA Vice City no cd problem?
Hi, i have a laptop that hasn't got an optical drive. I installed it with a usb flash drive after having copied my cd's to it. To get it working, i downloaded a crack and put it in the Rockstar folder, now, the game starts off well (shows the movie and credits) but then it says "please insert your GTA vice city CD/ or press esc" as a notification in the game.. Does anyone know how i can get it working?

I've installed GTA Vice City on my PC. I Istarted running it, it shows the Rockstar logos, then it stops there. It says "Please Insert your GTA Vice City CD, or press ESC to Cancel". I've already copied and replaced the "gta-vc.exe" file from the Crack folder onto the Installation Directory. I've also inserted the Vice City CD ( Disc 2; as written on the ReadMe file ). It still won't work. Anyone know a solution for this? Please help.. Many thanks :)

I’ll talk about one specific game: GTA V.Very few people know this, but each playable character in the game (Michael, Trevor, and Franklin) represents a certain type of player.Michael represents the experienced veteran who has played the majority of GTA games. He is thorough and rational when it comes to crime, and possesses good planning skills, as shown in his numerous heists. Another thing is his exceptional accuracy with firearms, which further shows how the professional gamer works. He likes dressing up in suits and official clothing, which means he does want to be taken seriously. One can compare him to James Bond, though his personal life is a mess.Trevor…is the complete opposite. He is the psychopath in us, the unhinged, angry guy that runs over a civilian for no reason at all. He is like a nine year old that cannot be reasoned with. Give him a weapon and he’ll get three wanted stars in three minutes. All he wants to do is to see the world burn. Personally reminds me of myself back in GTA Vice City, where I would just get a tank and sodomize the entire police force, until some random cop would bust me by casually opening the tank door and pointing a gun to my face. Trevor is the mascot for all the violence in GTA that has defined the genre.Finally, Franklin, the ambitious guy who is ready to take on missions, get wealth, and get to the end of the game. Franklin is that part of us that wants to know what happens next. He has something to prove, that he can do the mission and succeed. In fact, this is the prime reason why he hangs out with Michael and Trevor, because he is the only guy that can tolerate Michael’s shadiness and Trevor's madness. You can even say that he is the balance.I think GTA nailed this one very well. Personally, I lean more towards a Trevor type player as I love killing bad guys. And cops. And the doctors that come in an ambulance. And the cops that come after the ambulance. And the SWAT teams after that. And the army…
