How can I identify fake guitar?
It is getting very difficult to identify a fake guitar. Chinese companies who create unlicensed fakes regularly purchase American made and other legitimate items made around the world that have standardized quality controls and produce the actual items we know from major brands. They than reverse engineer these items, and create very convincing fakes, that have all of the cosmetic attributes and are almost identical to the original, but with atrocious quality control tolerences and corners cut in every way possible that you don't see without some diligent scrutiny.Telling signs for a fake guitar will vary greatly not only across brands and models, but the crafting outlets themselves, as they will use different methods to produce the item. There are even some who make decent quality instruments that you might not question at first.The best resource you have is the internet in this case. If you are suspicious of a guitar you can look up that exact model and the word fake or chinese fake, and chances are there are already threads in forums showing what to look for in an original. Also purchasing your guitar from trusted local sources is much safer. Buying from Amazon includes the most risk. Amazon is littered with fake items from China that are infiltrated into the Amazon warehouse with the real items, and nobody checks to make sure they are real.

Robert Palmer there's "Addicted to Love" and "Simply Irresistible" that have videos with the girls both videos won him Grammys I think there might have been more videos with them, but I'm not sure the girls are supposed to be living Patrick Nagel paitings the only thing I've ever heard them called is "Palmer Girls" they're names are Patty Kelly, Julie Pankhurst, Mak Gilchrist and Julia Bolino and Kathy Davies Some more of my faves by him are "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)" and "Some Guys Have All the Luck"
Why do women love guys who can play a guitar and sing?
Music and sex have always been mutually tied.But.It’s kind of a meme at this point that the douchiest guys bring their guitar to a party just to play that One Legendary Anthem Everyone Knows.We’ve all been that guy — it’s a fun song.But too often, there’s the unconscious feeling that just picking up a guitar will make you more vulnerable and show your emotional side. Ugh.The issue is human beings have a pretty good BS-detector. It’s called cognition. A guitar is not a love potion. Playing one isn’t going to get you laid any more than wearing Nike shoes or cooking a mean omelette will. Romance isn’t a vending machine.But if you’re passionate about something, let your passion show through. That’s pretty much universally attractive.If there’s a certain song that really resonates with you, go ahead and play it for the guy or girl whose affections you’re trying to win.Maybe the song really captures how you feel about them.Best of luck mate.After all.YEET. im about to buy a used Lakewood guitar. but when i searched for this model i cant find it on lakewood guitar website. (i think its an old model) the seller said he brought it on 2002 anyone tried it? the guitar looks amazing.. but im really scared to end up buying a fake one.. thanks guys!
Is it wrong for girls/women to play guitar (input from guys AND girls welcome)?
I got my first guitar from my dad when I was 15 and I played it quite a bit. I wouldn't say I'm good, but I enjoyed playing guitar. Two years ago I met this guy who is one of those guys who thinks he's special because he listens to classic rock and he brought his guitar to TV class with him on "off days" all the time. One time I told him I play guitar too and he just laughed. He said stuff like "girls can't like rock music", "girls can't play guitar", and "girls only try to play guitar because they want to be like that whiny ***** Taylor Swift". So for a while I've felt like I shouldn't even waste my time playing guitar. Let me tell you a little about this guy: he thinks girls only listen to male artists because they're "sexy" or "hot", and they only listen to stuff like Justin Bieber or Lil Wayne but they wear shirts for bands like Nirvana or Metallica to look cool or trendy. He just uses the fact that I'm a girl against me. Just FYI, I'm not a music elitist. My taste is very broad but gravitates toward rock and alternative. Am I in the wrong by being female, liking rock music, and playing guitar?
150 for a black acoustic guitar, DG16 Fender, good deal?
Is this a good deal? I want to get my guy a guitar for his bday in march. A girl offered to sell me a Black Acoustic Fender DG16 guitar for $150. I asked her if she could go lower on the price because I hadn't planned on spending that much, she said she couldn't because it retails for $575, but she would throw in the soft shelled case for free. I can't find this model anywhere online. Is it really $575 retail?
Differences between a fake and a original electric guitar?
You don't need to think about it if you buy new from reputable sources. Fakes are made of expensive guitars mostly. Why would someone go through all the hassle to make a copy out of a cheap guitar? And of course, common sense and caution is always called for if you buy used or from non reliable auction sellers
Why do people buy "Chibson" guitars (Chinese counterfeit Gibsons)?
Thanks for the A2A Katie, 2 reasons stand out to me.You either need the phony Gibson logo on the headstock to feel fulfilled and have bogus bragging rights.It’s cheap, running about $220 to $350 depending on the extras you get (ebony fretboard, custom paint, etc.). Plus, a few guys have said that if you just get the pickup holes routed and tuner holes drilled, but no hardware at all put on, you can save $100.I have always asked guys, “If your name is Dave Smith, wouldn’t you rather have a ‘Smith’ guitar? You could juice your friends and tell them you have a company who makes you your own signature Les Paul for you! Seems more fun than a fake Gibson? And the companies could care less about the logo you want on it? Send them some kind of hand-drawn artwork and they’ll make it. They’ll also put your own serial number on it.The most interesting reason I recently found NOT to buy one is a new(?) video on Youtube.A guy took a bolt-on neck from an 80’s Gibson Invader and laid it on a new Les Paul. All of the frets lines up perfectly, even after a 30-year difference between them.Then he laid the neck on top of a Chibson. All of the Chibson frets were either behind or ahead of the Gibson. He rightfully pointed out that if you intonated the Chibson by the 12th fret, it would be the ONLY fret in tune. Every other fret would be flat or sharp and the guitar would NEVER be tunable.That alone would keep me from ever buying one, or at best, from that company. But the company wasn’t named, sooo…
