Had A Bad Dream Now Can

What do bad dreams mean?

At least for a few weeks now I've been having really bad dreams or nightmares that are pretty scary. I don't wake up screaming or anything and I don't remember them in the morning. What could be causing these?

My gf had a bad dream and was crying?

Last night my gf had a bad dream and woke up crying. Not knowing what to do, I put my arms around her and just held her while she cried. She kept telling me to never leave her. She was scared and she was shaking. This has actually happened more than once. What should I do?

Scared of having bad dreams?

I find that if I'm sleeping on my left side and have a bad dream that flopping over onto my right side will cause me to have an entirely different dream. I've never seen this mentioned anywhere else, so you might experiment with it and maybe use it as a thesis to get your PhD in psychology, or something.

Oh, and my theory about how it works... I think it has something to do with the electrochemistry of the brain. I suspect that dreams are something like defragging the disk storage on your computer, taking your temporary memories and stuffing them away to make room for the next day's work. Thus dreams don't really "mean" anything, but they are vaguely related to what you have been thinking or experiencing.

Bad dream about my brother?

Possibly your waking subconscious, which is more honest or reflective of your higher and lower emotions (hopes and fears, loves and hates, etc.), which becomes your dreaming consciousness, has sensed some impending stress in your youngest brother, and magnified the situation.

Recurring "bad" dreams about your youngest brother are more definitely indicative that your waking subconscious intuitions are picking up something.

At this juncture, then, three major possibilities: you hate your youngest brother, and are wishing bad things on him; you are denying your own danger, and using your youngest brother as a symbol of your own danger; you are sensing danger for your youngest brother. This latter is obviously by far most likely; it subdivides into "accurate, prophetic, precognitive" and "exaggerated precognitive." The latter is more likely, as the waking subconsicous, unless trained and maturely connected with Source and outer waking self, tends to magnify by ~ 10 the energies, as well as too often distorting or masking the dynamic.

In other words, your youngest brother may be feeling sorrow over an upcoming exam, for which he feels woefully unprepared, or perhaps is losing a cherished girl friend. This would often be sensed by a family member as a horrible accident, and the "healing with disability" simply being the waking subconscious' way of describing a sad denouement in time future.

Thus, depending on your family dynamic, you might a) inquire of your youngest brother, is everything ok; the normal guy reaction is yeah; so a further questioning might be necessary; b) inform your youngest brother of your unusual, disturbing dreams, so as to alert him to be more careful.

Why do I have bad dreams every night?

Timur is correct in that dreams don't really have interpretations in the wa y that people think they do. Dreams are usually the result of thoughts and emotions in your head at the time, even if they're on a subconscious level. If you have a lot of bad dreams, maybe you have some pent up or repressed fear, worry, anger, etc. Basically, if there's something bothering you, it might have a tendency to cause bad dreams. (Dreams are weird; they might not actually focus on the subject at hand, just the emotions involved)That said, there might not be anything major causing the dreams at all and you just happen to be prone to bad dreams for one reason or another. I  would suggest doing some introspection to see if there are underlying issues and if necessary, do some research on ways to encourage more positive dreams or better sleep etc. I'm sure there are resources out there, but just make sure you aim for ones that seem to have some scientific basis and some legitimacy to their claims.
