Haha Why Did Brazil Lose To Germany

How can Germany lose against Brazil?

I didn’t watch the match, but the whole 7–1 game if you really want to analyse the whole thing, is really atypical. We have seen great teams with high morale and great chemistry playing against pitiful teams and winning with smaller results, Brazil thought we could win, not only win, but easily and that was what doomed us all. Prior to that match we played against Colombia, I remember being on a bar watching that match and having that “they are getting carried away” feeling, it wasn’t an easy match against Colombia, but somehow we passed them; the whole thing with Neymar, his ``````````injury´´´´´´´´´´, was also something that “motivated” the players to win the match against Germany, I also remember when they were posing for the picture they had his shirt and their talking before the game was “we are going to win, we are doing well, we will do it for Neymar”, meanwhile Germany was focused, minimising interviews and if they were to talk they would say things like “we are focusing on the game, we aim to give our best”, the whole feeling behind it was more cool than Brazil’s. The rest is history. This time, Brazil wasn’t sure of its victory, we came with humility and we won the game, a part of German media was as carried away as Brazil was before that 7–1, maybe they should have known better. Brazil never had a bad national team, if there is something we can boast is the quality of our players, however a lot of great individuals together don’t necessarily mean a great group (aka 2006 World Cup Brazil national team), I’m not undermining either the teams that won, they were better than us, but being surprised that Brazil won this latest game is to underestimate Brazil, maybe some people have short memory problems, in 25 years, Brazil was only below the top 5 ranking 5 times ( 2011 #6; 2012 #18; 2013 #10; 2014 #6; 2015 #6).

What did it feel like as a fan when Brazil lost to Germany (1-7) and to the Netherlands (0-3)?

I'm a Brazilian teenager and I have never seen the national team winning the World Cup (was too young in 2002). Although I'm not a big soccer fan myself, I was considering partaking in the anti Fifa-World Cup protests because of reasons well-known why Brazil shouldn't host the event (corruption, lack of investment in health and education, precarious transport and working conditions etc). But, soccer does have a magic. People often tend not to recognize how much importance soccer has on Brazil's culture and society, it's usually unexplainable to foreigners. That being said, my opinion is that giving so much importance to such a sport has both pros and cons. The upside is basically the union promoted by it, when you party on the street celebrating a victory with people from all ethnicities, religions, social classes. However, the downside, which now that Brazil lost (and by an absolute and unexpected blow-out) is being more focused on, that is the fact that soccer, and generally sport, is "opium" for the people, the panem et circenses, and in this exact moment there are people out here in the street protesting  (by that I mean, setting buses on fire and vandalizing) against the flaws in the government, against the most expensive World Cup of all time (too late huh?).Finally, how does it feel? Well, for me, a teen who barely watches 3 soccer games a year, it felt terrible and much worse than I expected, I even cried in front of my parents. For the Brazilian people in general, it's basically a disaster. We are already saddened by the idea of telling our kids and grandkids about this historic game. After the incredibly loud streets we could hear at kickoff here in São Paulo, it is now in total silence.I'm sorry for David Luiz, Neymar, Thiago Silva and also our coach Felipão. But I have to admit, well played Germany, you deserved it.Sorry for my English mistakes.

Was Brazil's 1-7 loss to Germany in the World Cup a planned loss?

Brazil's 1-7 loss to Germany came as a huge shock to everyone. But it was it such a big shock after all ?Brazil were playing sans Neymar and their captain Thiago Silva. Neymar and Thiago Silva had been the star performers of the Brazilian team which lacked the class which they are associated with. So playing without these two had a huge impact on the Brazilian team. Thiago Silva is an efficient leader and players like David Luiz need him to bring out their best. Also with the kind of form Fred was in , he wouldn't even get picked in my college team. And on the other hand , Germany had no doubt been the best team in the world cup and had been playing like World Champions. So a loss was an obvious result , but the reason that it became 7-1 ,was because by luck or their play, the Germans converted almost all their attempts on target into goals. And why on earth would Brazil lose on purpose , in the World Cup they're hosting, when the whole world has their eyes on them? So I don't see any reason why the loss should be thought of as a planned one.

What went wrong for Brazil in the 7-1 defeat against Germany?

A lot of things went wrong -Teamwork. German team were in top form with Klose determined to break and make records. The team had a combination of both young as well as experienced players. The bonding between players was at an all time high. You could see that coordination in them.Intimidating opponents. After the first two goals, you could see that the german side were having a lot of fun and were easily able to dominate the game. They seemed intimidating. But that is a part of the game strategy.Pressure. Brazilians had enormous pressure on them. They were playing at home and this means they had pressure to perform and win. They started off well initially. Too much pressure equals you can’t give your best.Psychology. Brazilians, instead of enjoying while playing like the germans did, seemed to only focus on winning. They were only viewing it as a competition.Overconfidence. Germany was able to score only one goal against France during the quarterfinal stage and it almost seemed like they barely made it to the next stage with Hummels being the only goal scorer. Brazil might have considered this and taken them lightly.Injury. Not having Neymar in the team (since he was injured during quarterfinals) costed them. Brazil did not have a good striker to rely on.Mindset. - When germany was up 2 goals, Brazil was shaken. They lost the cool and were half the time confused about what they were doing. They did not a strong mind and gave in.Playing with emotions. - On one side you have an extremely emotional team that has tremendous pressure on themselves plus absence of star player and on the other side you have a team that is more logical in its thinking and neither succumbs to emotions nor pressure and have a tactical mindset, a balanced team and an amazing team work. When germany was asked about how they felt post this match, they said they haven’t won the finals yet. The way they controlled their emotions irrespective of winning or losing is something that Brazil needs to learn from Germany. The German team usually avoids display of emotions and have a controlled mind which makes them a strong team.Brazil did not correct their mistakes after the first 2 goals. Scolari did not provide the right guidance. This game just had more to do with mental setup rather than physical setup.

What did the people in Brazil do when they saw Brazil lose to Germany 7-1?

We shook our heads in disbelief. After roughly ten years of crisis and disappointments, our national team had finally reached rock-bottom.Lots of people decided they don't care about soccer anymore. Some decided they never really cared.Me, I pretended I didn't care but I did, just like I had cared all those troublesome years. Socially we all pretended we didn't care, at least not that much. Also we turned it into a joke. A meme, if you will. Whenever something happened really fast, or repeated itself many times, or arrived earlier than expected, we were like"Wow! That was faster than the German goal!"It could be anything, like your car breaking down again just after repair, or the bartender bringing the next chopp in record time. That meme must have lasted like a whole week.In retrospect, the 7x1 was a much needed final blow: We either dropped the arrogance and started taking this more seriously, or we're done as a team.In retrospect, I wish the 7x1 had happened in the 2006. Because since then we’ve certainly started to take things more seriously, as you can witness from the 2018 qualifications.Yes, we are running a reformed team now. Playing in sync, with newfound guts. No arrogance, just the beautiful art, but played with sobriety. Neymar has probably done more for Brazil in these qualifications than Messi has done for Argentina in his entire career. We’ll see each other in Russia.

Why did Brazil have riots after they lost? It's just football!

There is one thing that all Brazilians respect in football: superiority. If  you beat them playing well, they respect you. Germany will have half a  century of utmost respect from every Brazilian football fan. I have  NEVER heard anyone say anything bad against Germany or the Germans because of the 7-1 match. Most Brazilians make fun of it and the 7-1 has been widely quoted as an example of "you can fool everyone all the time": Brazil had fine football, with badly-managed clubs and leagues, but someday the spell was broken. Believe me, no Germans were hurt because of that match, except, perhaps, a few of them, who had their feelings hurt....What makes Brazilians really mad about football is when they lose in a way they think is unfair. They didn't like to lose 1978 because they felt Argentina had fixed the match with Peru to get to the final. They hated 1982 because of excessive fouling and tackling from the Italians. They are sour about 1990 because supposedly the Argentinians didn't play fair. They may get mad at their own players when they think they have been sissy, uncooperative or disinterested. In 2006, when Brazil lost the quarter-final to France a TV reporter asked winger Roberto Carlos why didn't he foresee the goal play, which passed just close to him. Candidly he replied that he was "not meant to be doing anything" because that was something unexpected. His reply, "eu nao devia estar fazendo nada", was very badly received. He never played for Brazil again, or in Brazil.

Can everyone stop hating on Brazil?

This is how people are man...What I hate is that every one was all over Brazil's D**K before this game and now that they lose they are all hating them

*I say all because I'm trying to make a point. I know not everyone is like this

Is 7-1 a bad number in Brazil?

I didn’t get the question at first because this “number” doesn’t represen anything to me, but after I saw the others answers I get it and trust me, most brazilian don’t care about this number or they just think it’s kinda sad (in a funny way) or something like that.
