Haier Ac Comes On For A Second Then Turns Off

Why does my air conditioner turns off after about 15 minutes?

This issue is an issue that can be resolved by a authorized repair technician only. Here is a possible list of issuesThe compressor is leaking oil. Thus it is overheating and shutting down within 15 minutes, The oil in the compressor cools the compressorThere is grime or dirt build up in the outside condenser unit, This is preventing the heat teansfer from happening from inner unit to outer unit, causing tyhe compressor to overheat and shutdownThere may be many other points of failure, but normally (at least in India) are not solvable by self help, because the ACs are not designed for customer repair. So call the Authorized service center and get your AC unit looked at

What is the reason behind the AC turning off and restarting after 15 minutes automatically?

This is just a guess, but most likely, the temperature reaches the set point where the AC turns itself off, and then, 15 minutes later, it has gone up enough that it reaches the point where the AC turns itself on again. If you want to know, say, whether it would be possible to set the difference between these two points to be greater so the AC will stay off longer, then you should consult the owner’s manual for your thermostat.

Haier air conditioner unit?

If you read the manual you would find a paragraph telling you, when the A/C is on, if you set the timer on with the time you set say 2hrs, the unit will turn off in about 5 secs then it will turn on 2hrs later. If you set the timer off say 3hrs, then the unit will continue running and shut down 3 hrs later. It's in your manual.

Why does the AC give off cold air and then warm for some time and then again cold?

Normal ACs (non inverter) work in the following wayThe AC compressor runs continuously till set temperature is reached in the roomThe compressor then switches off, but the blower fan in the wall mounter unit keeps running. Durint this time the AC fan blows air out at Room temperature (which feels warmer)When temperature of room rises then compressor starts running again. During theis period the air coming out from the inner uny is cooled by the condenser coilsAnd the process is repeated.... as long as you keep AC runningAc works this way throught the operation period. Now if you feel that your AC keeps switching off and on very frequently check the followingYour AC may be over powered for room *for example a 1.5 ton AC installed in a scenario where 1 ton is enough)If there is voltage fluctuation in your area then the compressor may keep shutting don on large voltage swingsSolution: Get a StabilizerYou have set the temperature setting too high. Max temp suggested for ACs is 25 degree Celsius, any higher will mean the compressor shuts down often. Remember every compressor shutdown and startup draws a high starting currentSet AC temperatures between 22 and 24 degrees CelsiusThe thermostat/ Temperature sensor is faultyGet unit inspected by Authorized technicianThere is dust buildup on the outer unit / compressor unit. The dust buildup may cause overheating by preventing efficient heat exchange, This may lead to overheating of compressor and it shuts down to, prevent damage to itselfGet unit serviced by Authorized technicianThe fan motor of the outer unit is not working properlyGet unit inspected by Authorized technicianRemember to get the AC serviced at least thrice a year to ensure smooth operationCool Thoughts... AC compressor keeps shutting off and comes back on if reset button pressed..?

Three times in the past week and a half Ive come home to a hot house because my AC compressor has shut off for some reason.. The first time I called an AC repair man out and all he did was press the reset button on the compressor (which I did not know about since I know nothing about ACs)and clean it out with a hose... and it started working again.. well since he has been here last monday it's happened twice.. ive come home to a 80 degree house but once i got out and press the reset button it starts cooling again instead of just blowing out warm air... i live in FL by they way where everyday its almost 100.. so i need AC very badly. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with my AC or the compressor and why it would keep shutting off like that? I just replaced the air filters last week also so it cant be because of overloaded filters. Thanks!!

Haier air conditioner displays error E0?

E0 is usually code for power issues. The fact it comes on and goes off is reminiscent of a motor heater or overloads. They auto magically reset when the motor cools down. If you have a prob., in the motor it will cool down turn on heat up turn off. About 15-20 cycles. I can advise to start cheap and work your way up. Replace the capacitor which will be mounted on or very close to it. 2 wires going to a silver mini flask looking device. Careful a capacitor will charge up energy and hold until discharge. Before anything cut power to the unit the using a small jumper wire touch each end to each terminal tab causing a short and it will de-energiz. Remove the wires from the device and loosen the holding strap. Take it to a motor shop and get a new one 5-10 bucks at most. Replace the device {don't worry about what wire goes where its in series and AC} Try it again. If this doesn't work then its decision time. Technician or take motor for testing? Cost very close. Good Luck
