My hair keeps constantly getting tangled?

1- First of all get a new shampoo and conditioner that does NOT contain sulfate as an ingredient, this drys up your hair and leave it more tangly.
2- Apply a good detangling serum/cream.
3- Do a "home remedy" recipes for your hair to be more softer and shiner

1. Banana deep conditioner, 1 ripe banana, 1 egg yolk, 1Tbsp of honey
mash everything together in a bowl until smooth then apply.

2. avocado ginger hair mask (the ginger stimulates your scalp while the avocado moisturizes sesame oil is best but u can use another oil if you need to) 1 avocado, 1 tsp of powdered ginger, 1 tsp of sesame oil. mash everything together to make a smooth puree. Apply as usual, then wash hair thoroughly.

3. Lavender oil treatment, 1/4 cups of olive oil, 6 drops of lavender oil, Combine the oils in a plastic container, apply to ur hair then wash.

Hair is constantly tangled and knots up underneath.?

When I go to bed:
I make sure all my hair are on one side of the bed. When I toss & turn, sometimes I program my head to make sure all my hair are on the one side of the bed, (left or right, never in the middle of my back) so when I turn to the left, the hair's on the left side, and when I turn to my right, the hair's on my left or should I say back, but my hair doesn't twirl around me, so when I get up they're still where I left them. I just brush and they're good. Start from the bottom & move to the middle of your hair, then to the top of your head until all the tangles are gone.

When I shampoo my hair:
Imagine this I have hair down to my knees. , .

I stand in the shower and allow the water to fully wet my hair keeping my head straight up, moving the hair on my back from sides to sides, to make sure they are getting wet inside. Don't pile your hair up your head like laundry. Keep them hanging down from your head. Then I put about 2Tablespoon of shampoo on my hair, wetting it to let the suds start foaming (Garnier is best for this), while massaging my head and spreading the shampoo inside and around my head. As the shampoo falls down to the tips of my head, my head at this time is down so all the hairs are covered. As the shampoo falls down, I massage my way down until they get washed. Then, keeping my head down, I rinse. When I know all the suds are gone, I now tip my head up and move all the hair to the back of my head, continue rinsing all the suds from my head.

Then, I wash my whole body.

I turn off the water, squeezing the hair from my head to the tips of my hair. I use two towels to dry my hair to absorb most of the water, by then it's halfway dried. Blow dry for 5 mins. Brush. Style 3-5 mins.
Total takes about 25-30 mins.

I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80's & 90's. I've known people in their 30's whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70's. Conditioner causes my hair to get greasy, so I don't use them. We have soft water. When traveling, I briefly rinse with bottled water.

My hair is gets so tangled easily?

Here are a few tips:
- Wash it at least every other day
- Brush at least twice a day and after washing hair
- Wear your hair up when you sleep or lay on it
- When you wash your hair, don't scrunch it up as you put shampoo and conditioner on it
- Avoid rubbing your hair with the towel roughly
- If you have a hairdryer, dry your hair with that other than with a towel and brush each section of your hair as you do so
- Even if you don't want straight hair, straighten your hair every couple of days to keep it separated and knot-free

Hope I helped :) x

Why does my hair keep getting tangled???

Being a hairstylist i've had problems with women coming in and their hair being very tangled up. make sure you go in to the salon to get your trims. getting all the dead ends off will definitley help. you could use a detangling spray or if you have medium to thick hair i would use a light detangling cream. apply it from midsection to your ends. i usually apply mine after i shower and i let it air dry. another thing you could try is, if your hair is medium to thick you could ask your stylist to get some of the bulk removed, this can be called texturizing or thinning out. good luck!!!

Nape of neck tangles?

My daughter and I both get that. It gets tangled because it suffers the worst damage by the twisting of the head against the collar of my shirt or coat. No amount of conditioner solves it and I sympathize with you.
I have solved this problem for both my daughter and I by cutting the hair below the ears in back very short. It does not take away from the length or the fullness of the hair. It does reduce brushing-time. It also looks nicer to have short-trimmed hair in the back when I have my hair up rather than the crinkled, damaged stuff.

My hair keeps getting tangled?

I'm gonna make this as simple as possible. I went to a beach and swam in the ocean and hotel pool. I washed it every night but did not brush it. I also let it air dry if that's important information. Now even if I don't swim and just wash it with shampoo and conditioner, brush it, dry it, and brush one last time, it still gets tangled. Is there a way to keep knots out for a while? This is not normal because i got a hair cut like 2 weeks ago and knots usually stay out for a long time until you need another trim. Help? :[

HELP: Itchy Scalp, Tangled Hair, etc.?

Tangles = dryness

However, you say your scalp is itching terribly which is of concern. You can get skin conditions in the scalp that need medical attention. If it is something really bad you might need to see a dermatologist.

You could also be allergic to something in the shampoo so stop using it.

One section of hair is always tangled and damaged?

I take very good care of my hair, i use salon brand shampoo and conditioner, i rarely dye it i use a flat iron only on special occassions. I have a section of my hair at the back right at the nape of the neck, and no matter what i do its always dry/ damaged. It's always tangled and dry and has split ends even though i get my hair cut on regular basis.I asked a hairdresser that i went to and they told me it was caused from jackets and scarfs but i don't believe that. What can i do to help this situation and make that part of my hair stronger and more healthy? Also does anyone know why this could be happening?
