Hair Styling Tips Thick Coarse And Frizzy

What are some hair styling tips for Asian men?

I'm an Asian guy, and I totally know what you mean about the hair sticking up-- apparently our hair is stronger and thicker and resists flattening down smoothly like white people hair! But that's not to worry; if you grow out the hair on the sides of your head to 3-4 inches, you can use a bit of pomade to keep it down while playing with interesting looks for the rest of your 'do! You can keep some bangs 4-5 inches long in the front of your face. This is versatile because you sweep them to the side, sweep them back (upward), or let them dangle over your forehead. In addition, you can cut the hair on the top of your head to 2-4 inches and play with some pomade/gel. This can contrast the conservative-looking side part of your bangs, for example, with a messy, just-out-of-bed look for the rest of your hair, an interesting juxtaposition that she is sure to notice. To do this, first wet your hair slightly (a shower and slightly drying it with a towel works great, or a spray bottle filled with water), and get some pomade or gel (Crew or the Japanese Gatsby Moving Rubber, for example). Put it on your fingers. Mess up your hair so it sticks up, possibly mostly waving in one direction, and rises maybe 1-2 inches from your head.To keep the hair on the sides of your head from sticking up, first wet your hair slightly. Get some pomade (American Crew seems popular, find a hold that works for you) and smoosh a small bit among your palms this time. Run them down the hair on the sides of your head, and finish by using a blow dryer at a 45 degree angle facing down and outward, held a few inches above your head for each side. The blow dryer will dry your wet, pomade-d hair in a downward direction and keep the hold for the rest of the day, helping your pomade keep loose hairs from springing up. The key is to smooth down the sides AFTER you do the top of your head, or else you'll mess up your perfectly-messed-up look! Remember to wash the remaining gunk off your hands!

Tips for non-frizzy hair?

I straighten my hair and no matter what hair care product I use it still gets frizzy. any tips to make it less frizzy? someone told me to use hand sanitizer.. but idk. please tell me some home remidies or just hair products in general

What's a good hair detangler for thick coarse hair?

TRESemme' moisturizing conditioner and a wide tooth comb. **

My hair is Frizzy, Poofy, Coarse, Curlyish, Wavy, and UGLY. What do I do?

I was born with naturally thick hair all my life. I have to use a Straightener EVERY single day because my hair is so frizzy and poofy and just plain UGLY.

Here's what I do: I brush my hair usually before I take a shower, rinse hair, use Tresemme Heal Split Ends Shampoo, rinse, use Tresemme Moisture Rich Conditioner, brush hair while conditioner's still on leave on for about 4 or 5 minutes and rinse. I towel dry (I never Blow-Dry) and squeeze dry with towel too. Then I brush my hair and let it airdry. When it dries it is EXTREMELY poofy and wavy. I hate it! I wash my hair about 4-5 times a week because I heard it's not healthy to wash it every day because it takes a way all your natural oils or something. I need to know what to do about it without using a straightener every day or using a whole bunch of serums and deep conditioners because I'VE ALREADY TRIED IT!!! Even anti-frizz gel doesn't work on my hair. Please help!!??

HAIR HELP! My hair is super dry and frizzy!?

I have naturally wavy hair that is coarse and thick. Or could be thin and just have a lot of it? Either way I've never had that nice flow gorg hair. Im 27. In the past I just would get out of the shower and put some cream in it and some mousse and let it air dry. No frizzy mess. For the past year i have had a frizzy tangled dry mess of a mop on my head. I cant identify anything specific that changed in my routine other than moving to a new apt in the same city. (Should be same water?) I dont necessarily use the same products but since noticing the changes I have tried several name brand products.

Nothing has worked and my hair dresser says my hair isn't damaged when I get cuts.

I have researched so many things and tried so many methods

Currently trying the no poo method with baking soda wash and apple cider vinegar rinse for three weeks and there has been no change to my hair.

I've used sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, biotin pills, coconut oil mask for hours weekly, creams, no frizz creams and serums, Moroccan oil, everything!

I've noticed when I get out of the shower my hair seems to be partly dry very fast which made me think it needs moisture but if coconut oil and creams dont work what will?

Do I new protein mask? I havent put heat to it in forever either. When it dries it feels "Softish" but its very frizzy.

Please help me I am so close to chopping it off and I love my long hair :(
