Half Life Opposing Force Wont Install And Says Error No Steam Version

Why don't special forces wear black camouflage during night missions?

I would like to point out one thing.Black is not a camouflage.Whenever a military or paramilitary or police unit uses black color - it is not for camouflage.Black is for psychological shock. If I ever see people dressed like this:I will instinctively think to myself "HOLY SHIT".Because, seeing them means I'm dead. Most likely there's another bunch of them coming in from behind me and some might be above me.And I will know they're special forces. That means that I have one shot with my assault rifle (assuming I'm on duty defending an installation or so) and if I aim well and fast I can drop one of them. The next 3 guys will each tap me a few times before I can aim at second one.And that's all assuming they forgot to use flashbangs or grenades or satchel charges. But the point is, you see people in all black overalls, you know it's bad - for you. If it weren't a wartime situation and I wasn't defending some installation against foreign forces it would make a ton of sense to just drop the weapon - and possibly survive.Simply put, the people who wear black are usually highly skilled and they're coming in hard. There's a high chance that by the time you'll see the first sign of them you'll already be disarmed and/or disabled. Loud bang, you're on the floor with a bullet hole in your shoulder and someone's got a jackboot on your throat and is aiming an SMG at your head.People who use camouflage are trying to avoid detection. They are not trying to scare you.In a way those black suits try to say that if you catch a glimpse of them and want to live - you better drop your weapon and lie down face to the floor. Camouflage is usually worn in combat where the opposing force actually has a decent chance of fighting back and repelling the attack.Because when you're fighting regular military unit that is defending their homeland you don't try to spook them. It doesn't work. You try to remain unseen. Guys in black want prisoners, guys in camouflage don't really care and might actually be unable to take prisoners if they're behind enemy lines and all. 12 special force operatives behind enemy lines committing infiltration and sabotage can't really drag captured enemy guards with them while hoping that the prisoners won't start screaming or give them away or be seen due to inferior camouflage etc.

Can Windows 10 run old half life games (blue shift, half life and opposing force)?

Without a doubt. The easiest way is to simply install Steam and create an account if you don’t already have one. You can then link the CD keys from the original cases to your Steam ID. Or alternatively you could buy them from the Steam Storenif you don’t already own them.If you have th money, it could be worth buying the Valve Complete Pack on Steam as that will give you all of the HL games plus more for s very good price.

Why do people say that opening a petrol pump is not profitable, but people still keep opening new ones?

adulteration is never answer if petrol pump owner want to increase it's petrol pump sale. Running a petrol pump is not at all a profitable business. Multiple Reasons that Owner done some malpractice:1. Oil companies never provide full quantity to owner. Example: if owner buys 12000 KL petrol then there is always variation of 50-80 liter. Which is never compensated to the owner. Petrol always vaporized so owner looses around extra 50 KL from 12000 KL. Considering that commission just come around 1 rupee to the owner and even if owner do not want to do any mal practice then  also they have to do some. 2. Govt officers are very corrupt and always threatened to the owner and if owner is not very powerful man then  owner has to give money. which includes multiple department. 3. Whenever govt agencies requires money, they suddenly come to petrol pump and will take heavy amount on the basic of checking.4.  Lots of other unexpected expenditure like theft of diesel and petrol from the thief.5. Adulteration by the transport driver which is sent by company.6. Different prices in all the states bec of which states with higher price always loose.7. Bec of 15 days price changing policy, Petrol pump owner always looses for their inventory while they do not get that much which prices increases.Whatever owner do, People always sees owner as suspect. So guys, it's not just petrol pump owner who is making all the cheating. It's complete system which makes owner corrupt.

What happens when a centrifugal pump runs dry?

Pumps should not be operated running dry. When a pump is run dry, there are two common results.1) The impeller will melt along the shaft, causing the impeller to seize onto the shaft. If the impeller seizes, it will stop and not rotate. To correct this, the pump should be taken apart and a drill bit should be used to clean out the bore of the impeller.2) The rear housing may melt. A hole may develop in the rear housing, allowing liquid to escape. Or, the boss of the rear housing, which secures the pump shaft, may become deformed, which will allow the shaft to move instead of remaining stationary. This will cause damage to the impeller and may cause the shaft to break from the impeller bouncing on it.If the pump is made from stainless steel, it is unlikely holes will develop in the rear housing or that the boss will deform. What is likely to happen is the impeller bushing will seize onto the shaft. The amount of time it takes for a pump to suffer damage from running dry depends on many variables.Pump size:Generally, the larger the pump with larger and heavier impellers, the faster it will be to suffer damage.Bore size:The bore size of the impeller can also be a factor. The more clearance between the bore of the impeller and the shaft, the more time you will have before suffering damage. Polypropylene will suffer damage quicker than Kynar on the same model, and stainless steel will take more time than plastic.Liquid used in the pump:Another factor is the liquid previously in the pump. If the liquid is ambient or cooler, it will take more time for the pump to suffer damage after it starts to run dry than if the liquid is warmer.Safe options for dry pumping:If you are using the pump for tank transfer and want to empty the tank, this may mean running the pump dry for a few seconds. If the pump is run dry for less than 45-60 seconds, the pump should not suffer damage.Dry running can be an expensive hazard on your equipment but with care and supervision, you can elongate the life of your machinery.

Does computer hardware get slower with age?

Computers themselves don't slow down so you could erase one completely and it would in theory be about as fast as you bought it. The problem lies with software. Developers will have written newer and heavier programs that need more RAM, processing power etc. So if you take a 3 year old pc and wipe it clean, it will be just as fast but the software that will have come out in those 3 years is now more memory and processing intensive hence your computer slows down. The opposite is also true. I play Rollercoaster Tycoon which was originally written for Windows 98. It was a very memory intensive game for computers of the time, but now it barely puts a dent in my RAM. Hope this helps.Edit: Some people have asked specifically if the hardware physically slows down. The only moving parts of a computer are cooling fans (which need to be cleaned every so often to maintain airflow), the Hard Drive (HDD not SSDs), and the Optical Drive which some computers don’t even have anymore (cough cough Apple). All of which can easily be replaced if you really want to keep the computer. The CPU, GPU, mother board etc don’t have moving parts and they will last a long time if optimal airflow is maintained. Generally a processor will become so slow/useless due to the reasons in my original answer before it fails physically. Think about it this way. I sill have a windows 98 Compaq. It starts up, it runs. I could use it for playing games made around that time but that’s it. New games? Well #1 I can’t imagine how long it would take to download steam let alone download a game. Once you have steam your computer would probably crash when you tried to open it. Say you had an Optical disk with a game. Well #2 I don’t think any games come in the CD-ROM format anymore, they’d most likely be some form of a DVD so your computer wouldn’t even be able to read it if it’s not Windows 2000ish or newer. My Compaq has a 4 gig hard drive. My laptop has 4 times that in RAM alone. Also I wanted to mention that in my experience, hard drives are never “the same as new” even after you wipe them (at least the HDDS, haven’t had SSDs long enough to see for myself) and that’s most likely due to imperfect software and the fact HDDs have a limited usage limit. But the average user is most likely not going to get to the point an HDD physically fails.
