Happy Birthday To Bad Company

What if no one wishes you a happy birthday?

Hey Seeker! This question is actually pretty apt, since my birthday is around the corner, and this is what I've been thinking about too, of not receiving birthday wishes voluntarily.A few years back, I did try this. I made my date of birth invisible on social media sites, around a week before my birthday. And a few hours before my birthday began, I put my phones on ‘do not disturb’ mode. And then, around 11:20 pm, I tucked myself in, and slept cosy. The next day, except for calls from work, and one from home, I didn't take or make any communication. Surprisingly, I felt pretty relieved, calmed and at peace. Since I wasn't looking for birthday wishes at every single second of the day, the lack of those didn't really affect me. In fact, I felt freed from societal obligations of behaving good and wise even when you would prefer to not really bother. Two days after my birthday was a weekend. That day I actually sat down, and went through my social media accounts, and very surprisingly, a handful of people had still remembered my birthday, and wished me, in spite of me having taken down the birthday notifications and details. My phone wasn't flooded with birthday greetings. There were a couple of messages and a couple of calls to wish me. And honestly, that seemed more than enough. The point I'm trying to get to here is.. It doesn't really matter if someone wishes you or not. There are people who will always remember to wish you, mostly family and a couple of close friends. There are people who will rely on social media to send you their wishes, even though they really don't care. There are people who will not wish you even though they remember, because that's their way of showing you how they don't care. There are all kinds of people around. But you know what? There's no one just like ‘You’!Your birthday is ‘YOUR’ birthday! And it should be a big deal for ‘YOU’! Irrespective of who wishes and doesn't; who remembers and doesn't; who makes an effort or doesn't!Your birthday is a celebration of ‘You’. Of the person you are. Of the person you have become. Through your unique experiences and understandings of everything around and within you. And there is no one who knows this, appreciates this, accepts this and celebrates this.. Better than.. You, yourself! So look within, find happiness in yourself, and the will to get happier, in spite of anything and everything!Have a Happy Birthday!Love,Niharika A.

How do I wish a happy birthday to my company boss without using the word "boss" or "sir" in the sentence?

I had the same question and I experimented a bit with it.My intention was that I did not want to be a kiss-up guy. I wanted to wish not because he was boss, but as another person.I had wished ‘Happy birthday’ without name sometimes. Some other times, I addressed by first name. (US company culture). In EU company, I think they traditionally preferred Mr./ Mrs. . These days I have seen they are more open for addressing by first name. Some people I saw (not my bosses though) prefer being called ‘sir’. I do not understand the mindset though. For such people, I think it is ok to address them ‘sir’. If your intention is not to kiss up, it is still fine because that is the preferred salutation by them. (At work, some people address me ‘sir’. I am quite uncomfortable with it. For some people, I requested to use first name. Some obliged. Some others still continue the same. I just gave up and accept it now).Further, after wishing without name, sometimes I feel it is not ‘warm enough’. If the environment suites, it is ok to do small talk. That kind of lightens up the relationship.

My birthday is on valentines day? good or bad?

Well, - whether it's GOOD, or BAD, - you ARE in "GOOD COMPANY", if that IS your birthday!

ONE well-known "FIGURE", - in England, anyway, - who has the SAME birthday, is former England, - currently, NEWCASTLE UNITED, - soccer boss, KEVIN KEEGAN.

Happy birthday, FOR that day, - to BOTH of you!

How do I thank Google for wishing me a happy birthday?

Firstly its most probably the Google automated bot that sends out birthday wishes based on your entries on their database and it wouldn't mind if you didn't oblige or thank back.Being said that, here are few ways you could possibly use to thank the Google for your birthday wishes. Here is Google's presence on various social media, and you could choose any of your choice to send back a thank you message,Google this is the official Facebook page of google and you could thank them on their wall.Google (@google) • Instagram photos and videos Instagram is not an bad choice to thank them eitherGoogle (@Google) | Twitter you could send in a customised tweet out to Google thanking themGoogle YouTube being a google company in itself would also do a great deed in sending out thanksThanking Google on Google+ isn't a bad idea either Google - Google+LinkedIn also has an official google account, if you find the need to keep it professional here is the way https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=...You can also choose to send in a customised email onto support-in@google.comHere are the wayd Google recommend us to reach them, Contact us - GoogleHope you found your way to reach them!Image source: Screenshot of Google recommend ways to reach them on their website-SK

Is it OK to greet your boss a happy birthday without him thinking you are sucking up?

Yes.The rules vary heavily by work culture and nationality. In many places sucking up is expected. Many of my peers feel a need to kiss my boss's a--. I treat him with respect but do not bend over. Frankly, I think he respects this deportment. He is also smart enough to care more about the numbers I am generating than my blowing smoke up his a--.If this is the approach you want to take, let me give you some specifics.1) Words are good, gifts are bad. In contemporary Western bsuiness cultures, gifts should flow down not up. 2) Keep it friendly but brief. If you meet them, you can say Happy Birthday. If it is Friday afternoon, you can offer a generic "Any big plans?" If your boss wants to regale you, please hear them out for up to 10 minutes. 3) If there is a company custom, feel free to pitch in for a cake. If thee is a company custom, pitch in for a card. Only pitch in toward a gift if this is a tradition at your firm and if (nearly) everyone pitches in as well. If you are pitching in for a gift consider shooting for a contribution level close to the mean of the previous donations; so you look neither cheap nor like you are sucking up Do not feel a need to organize any festivities. Usually there is some worker who enjoys doing this and frankly does not have more important tasks; this is not exactly the road to success.4) Remember that results are the best gift of all. Your job is make your boss look good to their boss. That means completing your tasks efficiently and competently. Feel free to gift them with great new ideas that make them money and make them look good. Thanks for the A2A Sheldon

What will you do if nobody wishes you on your birthday?

Here is the list of things I can do :Cry myself to sleep.Rung each and every one up and confront them how dare they didn't remember my birthday.Look for answers as to why don't people wish me on my birthday. “ Am I such a horrible person” “ What do I need to change in myself so that people remember my birthday” “ or they remember my birthday just don't feel like making time to wish me”Here is the list of things that I will do :Idgaf , if nobody wishes me on my birthday. Nobody is under any obligation to remember my “ big day”I will go around my usual business. Go to school, teach kids, come back home and sleep peacefully.Eat special dinner at night prepared by my mother consisting of all my favourite things .Tbh, it's been 3–4 years since people stopped wishing me ( except my parents and few friends). Last year even my parents and my boyfriend forgot my birthday. Earlier it used to hurt me a lot that people forget my birthday even though I wish them on their. I used to feel bad , cry like a kid and what not. You won't believe two of my blog posts are about this only :P But eventually I realised,I am the one responsible for it, I had shut myself from the outer world how will they remember it. I am not in contact, rarely online , never text or call them up.I don't have real friends, just online friends. And that kinda friendship requires efforts from both the sides to work.Nobody actually remembers anyone's birthday except the special someone's. They just get notified through social media or something.Nobody is unemployed enough to remember petty things like birthdays. They all have got important things to do.Birthdays are not “big days” so stop worrying and whining about people not remembering it ( note to myself)Those who will care enough will remember and find ways to make it special for you, no matter what :)P.S. If nobody wishes you on your birthday, you can tell me yours and be assured that I Will wish you every year !!Thanks for A2A

What are good or bad marketing examples on people's birthday?

First off, Happy Birthday Charlie!Bad MarketingI'm not a fan of upsell marketing offers for birthdays. It's like brands saying, "Happy Birthday, hurry up and BUY!".Ex: Dine with us on your birthday and get a free dessert. Thought "Oh gee, thanks for this dry cake and embarrassing parade of under-paid not-enthused singing waitstaff." Good MarketingMarketing where you actually get something of value, a small free gift item. Free coffee, free make-up, or other small token of customer appreciation. This kind of marketing makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside when I see the logo or when I'm frequenting their location.  Ex: Sephora's free birthday make-up gift or Starbuck's free coffee when you're a card holder.
