Has Anyone Else Noticed From The News People In Uk Get Jail For Fraud Like Stealing From Their

Do people who commit credit-card fraud usually get arrested?

The bank has a Security force that will track it all down and settle with the person either by payment or prosecution.
The rate of cases cleared is about 70% as they usually can track purchases made with a card to a time sequence at the place of purchase.

I shoplifted and feel TERRIBLE. Help please!?

Today I drove to CVS and stole a... male... item...

It costed no more than 9 dollars, but I feel terrible!

I tried praying to god for forgiveness but I feel horrible

I am 17. Please don't simply say "Just return it"

I wasn't caught, but I left the empty box in the bathroom in the trashcan, and left. I'm worried they will find it, look over the tape, and catch me!

Now the questions:
Do you think I'll get caught?
How can I help myself to not feel guilty?
Is stealing from a store once common for my age?

Thanks in advance!

WIll i got to jail for credit card fraud, first time offense?

It is unlikely you will have to do jail time. First time offense and all. Hopefully, this is a misdemeanor and not a felony. Felony convictions (even without jail time) are a hazard to have on your record.

Don't plead insanity...you don't appear to be insane.

If you haven't already, pay restitution to the person or credit card company or be ready to do it on the day you go to court. The courts are please with people who (1) accept responsibility, (2) show remorse, and (3) make any victim's whole by paying what is owed. Do those things and your sentence should be very light.

You don't have an attorney? Do you qualify for a public defender? If this is a misdemeanor, you may not need one provided you plead guilty and make restitution. If this is a felony...consider it

Opinions on this newspaper clip about cops being falsely portrayed as "unavailable" to a 911 caller?

"Round Like a Shot"

Going to bed the other night, I noticed people in my shed stealing things.
I phoned the police but was told no one was in the area to help. They said they would send someone over as soon as possible.
I hung up. A minute later I rang again. 'Hello,' I said, 'I called you a minute ago because there were people in my shed. You don't have to hurry now because I've shot them.'
Within minutes there were half a dozen police cars in the area, plus helicopters and an armed response unit. They caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the officers said: 'I thought you said you'd shot them.'
To which I replied: 'I thought you said there was no one available.'

How do I steal shoes from someone?

I have neighbors tht have amazing running and basketball shoes, whenever there go for a run, they tend to leave their garage open with all their shoes in the open or after they come back, they leve them in front of their front door. How do I steal them without gettin caught or noticed? Or even I just want to borrow them then return them after I used it?

I recently found out that my son has been streaming movies for free from a site called 123movies. Am I going to be paid a visit by the cops? He claims that since he's only streaming the movies and not downloading them it's not illegal.

You won’t get a visit from “the cops” because it’s not a crime to stream or download movies, even if they’re “illegal”. Downloading unauthorized copies of a video for personal use is, in the United States, at most civil copyright infringement (and in some situations is not even that). It’s not a crime, and so the police will not be involved. You may get sued by the movie distributor, but there won’t be any cops coming to visit (except possibly to serve you with notice of the lawsuit). In addition, a stream is not a copy under US copyright law (US copyright law doesn’t cover what are called ephemeral copies) and so if he’s just streaming, he’s not committing any offense. The site providing the stream may be, and if they’re streaming illegally, they’re the ones on the hook for civil (and possibly criminal) copyright infringement, not you or your son. It is illegal to offer a stream (or download) of copyrighted audio or audiovisual content without a license from the copyright owner; it is not an offense to receive such a stream. The problem that people who download videos get into is that the tools used for downloading them usually also offer the downloaded content for further redistribution to others who want to download it. It’s this reoffering for further download by others that creates the legal problem for the downloader, not the download itself.Keep in mind that it’s also possible that what they’re doing is legal. Perhaps they generate revenue through advertisements embedded in or displayed alongside the stream, which they use to pay the royalties. Or they have some other arrangement that allows them to offer this content legally (or quasi-legally) without collecting a fee from their customers. If that’s what they do, it’s perfectly legal. (I have no idea what 123movies business model is, nor do I care.)

Streamate Shows? Free Access? Scam? Clarify?

Hello so I've got a random chat from a 'person' in yahoo linking me to the amateur webcam performing adult website called Streamate, a very sleek and professional looking site than the others.

The 'person' (she) gave me a credit card number along with the CCV and expiration date and entered it to use it for that site (because she said it's free) and so basically I was able to view shows for 'free'? But it's getting (the credit) charged anyways, I then checked the same card to try to register at eBay to see if it's legit, unfortunately it declined and so did the Streamate account (2 Days of free basically free live pronz gone!) so now I'm thinking; as I've researched, that this must be a self promotion or an in-direct scam from that company (Streamate) itself or this might be a Credit skimmed off of someone? Not to be sly but I can't puzzle how or what this was intended to be for? This also has made me felt purchasing for those performers (all very good) from the site =P

But I can't seem to clarify this, was the credit I guess stolen? and I'm people are being used to check if the credit works or not? (As I've tried to register it to an eBay didn't work, the CC probably has instantly ceased access after I tried entering it) Or is this some kind of business promotional act because basically some people like me or who else? Gets free LIVE shows! And you can basically tell a model/performer to do as your told but without the cost?

Now please leave your hasty comments off from here, I know what happened and I'm the one who have dealt with it, not you - so if it's just for the clarification (if maybe you've had this as well) then I'm all well to keep your answer and not be removed at my question ;) but yes if you'll tell me bla bla it's against etc.. [___] hey obvious things obvious you jelly? Just need clarification

Because obviously I've noticed that these kind of 'persons' also have this kind of registry process for free at other sites but I wonder if one has used it to other non cam site as well i.e eBay etc.. to get something?

Link above is an example of other people that have been 'scammed'
I'm still puzzled as to why one can be given such free stat?
