Has Anyone Ever Eaten A Substance Not Meant To Be Eaten On Purpose

"Eat Out Their Substance" - What Does This Mean?

are you sure the saying is not -"eek out and exsistance"?

What does eat out their substance mean in the Declaration of Independance?

It is a grievance against the King, that he sends representatives to the colonies in great numbers and those representatives are eating the colonists out of house and home, sort of like a bunch of mooching relatives during the holidays. The y are not going to put up with it no mo.

I am vomiting a yellow substance that looks like orangey yellow olive oil. It stings...wondering what it is?

i was always told it was bile...from your gall bladder....

Has anyone ever eaten an entire box of cereal in one night?

yes i have done this before
im not fat either[:

What happens if I eat mud/chalk/cement/red bricks?

we will take it one at a time, because different things happens when you eat or drink any of these, lets start with,Cement,Well, lets say you drank wet cement that was made only from sand and not gravel...not that that's much better. First off, what makes cement work is that it contains lye. Lye is very caustic (basic) and your stomach is very acidic. Strong acids and strong bases mixed together makes for a pretty spectacular reaction. Inside your stomach you'd pretty much observe two things. First a lot of gas would evolve and you'd be belching and probably throwing up. Second, the reaction would produce a lot of heat, which would probably cause burns inside your stomach. Second, any unreacted cement would continue to attack your stomach lining and intestinal track. Mixed with the abrasive nature of the sand, your digestive system would literally grind itself into a bloody mess. If you were lucky enough to survive this, then yes, defecating would be painful to say the least. You'd probably have a messed up digestive system for the rest of your life with burns and scar tissue throughout your mouth, esophagus, stomach and intestines. Parts of your intestines would probably have to be removed because of the damage which would require surgeries and more surgeries.   Needless to say, it would probably be the end of your life and if not, you'd wish it had been.Chalk, Nothing but only small insects will began to born in your stomach but If u have a small amount of chalk nothing will happen but bigger pieces you will most likely have a stomach ache because it contains limestone.Mud,which is also known as dirt, According to The Hospital for Sick Children, eating dirt poses hazards from chemical contamination, harmful bacteria from sewage or manure, and parasites from feces. Contaminated soil often contains the dangerous chemicals lead and arsenic. Some people eat dirt regularly as part of a rare eating disorder; anyone doing so should see a doctor to be tested for dietary deficiencies.as for Red bricks, the same that happens when you eat mud also happens even worst, it can become a habit which you get addicted to.thanks.

Can eating pencil lead cause any health problem?

The "lead" in pencils is graphite, a carbon compound. It isn't toxic, but it can't be good for you.

Can we eat anything on the periodic table?

I am going to assume you mean “a pure sample” - because every substance you eat and drink is made of elements from the periodic table. You can eat anything once….So let’s refine the question:Can we safely eat a pure sample of any element on the periodic table?Sure. If by eat you mean “ingest” and not “get any meaningful nutrition from”. I also don’t expect this to be an overly pleasant experience. When I was 8, I swallowed a paperclip - whilst these are normally steel, it wouldn’t be stretch to imagine that it was iron (element 26). You can eat paperclips, if you so desired. You could probably also eat raw carbon (element 6) without too many side effects (apart from it being disgusting) - whilst most food is carbon-based, you won’t extract any energy from pure carbon - that’s not how the chemistry works. In a similar vein, elemental sulphur is not toxic (though many of its oxidised forms are) - so you could eat this.Anyone who has been to a party with helium balloons has probably inhaled helium (element 2) at some point, to make your voice go all high and squeaky. Whilst you’re probably stretching the definition of “eat” at this point, you can probably ingest some helium (it would make its way out as a burp or flatulence, but hey ho).So maybe we should ask what can’t we eat?I’ve already said that gases probably don’t count, so assuming we’re at room temperature that rules out Oxygen, Hydrogen, and Helium and the other noble gases, which would have been safe bets.We probably also want to avoid any radioactive materials - so that rules out all elements heavier than lead (element 82) - assuming we are dealing with stable isotopes of elements lighter than this! The alkali metals (which spontaneously combust on contact with water) would also be pretty dangerous to eat (I had a teacher who set his beard on fire once - he put a lump of potassium in water, the gas got trapped, exploded and fired a burning bit of metal into his beard. Hilarious for us, not so much for him!) - so that rules out sodium, potassium and so on.You also want to avoid some of the toxic metals - lead and arsenic are commonly known, but thallium is also particularly unpleasant. So we’re left with a bunch of fairly inert metals - iron, tin, calcium - as well as a few non-metal solids, such as carbon and sulphur.Bon appetit!P.S I’d personally much rather attempt this edible element challenge:Source: http://technology.ie/periodic-ta...

If humans eat rat poison, will the human die?

It CAN kill you, but that doesn’t mean it WILL kill you…As others have pointed out, the most common types of rat poisons are essentially fatal doses of a blood thinner, Warfarin, combined with tasty rat bait, ingredients of lesser importance, and usually some paraffin wax (binds it all together, and makes it water-resistant, as well). In small doses, none of these things are (usually) fatal to humans. Many manufacturers of rat poison include some extra ingredients, as safety measures against accidental ingestion by humans and some types of non-target animals (like pets). These are usuallybittering agents, which rats can’t taste, but humans often aren’t even able to swallowEmetics, which make humans (and possibly cats and dogs) vomit the poison back up. Rats are physically incapable of vomiting.TL;DRA high-enough dose of rat poison will kill a human, but many manufacturers try to make it difficult for a human to actually ingest (and not immediately vomit up) such a dose. And, I shouldn’t have to mention this, but…DO NOT INGEST RAT POISON!

Can you eat Elmer's glue?

The answer to “Can you eat Elmer's glue?” is you can eat it if it is incidentally swallowed, but it should not be treated as a food. Most Elmer’s regular glues are “non-toxic,” in that if the glue is ingested, it should not make you sick.Keep in mind that the phrase non-toxic refers to the fact that the substance can't really be digested by the human body and it will probably pass through unchanged. Quantity can make a big difference here. Drinking a gallon of the stuff would definitely have an effect and there is nothing positive about it.However, we should also keep in mind that most glue sticks are not made of natural substances but of chemicals concocted in a laboratory, although Elmers did introduce an “all natural ingredients” version in 2013. But still, only 88% is “natural.”Another concern is how it is consumed. If it is a dried-out chunk of glue stick that is swallowed, it can cause an obstruction as it works its way through and out the digestive tract. That can lead to serious problems. If something like this happens, get medical help ASAP.Could you glue stick two cookies together, eat it and live? Probably. But the stuff tastes and smells awful. Better off using a “glue” made with melted chocolate or powdered sugar royal icing.

What does human cheese taste like?

Burp a baby and see if it spits up or cheeses, that is breast milk cheese. I would highly doubt that what you read is true.
