Has Anyone Ever Used Melanotan Ii

What are the effects of using Melanotan II?

This peptide is shipped at Melanotan 2 Sale by vial in a powder dried form that is reconstituted using sterile water and then injected under the skin where is absorbed into the skin itself and spread throughout.BenefitsMinimal UV Exposure: MT2 still requires exposure to sunlight to be effective, however it requires significantly less time to develop a tan than without the peptide.Flexibility: Users can take a small loading dose and continue dosing until they reach their desired pigmentation, after which time they only need to dose once every couple of weeks to keep the same pigment.Lasting Tan: Even if dosage is stopped entirely, a warm tan can last for months on end without exposure to the sun. By contrast, tans developed naturally fade in around a month.Side effects for Melanotan 2 include nausea, appetite loss, facial flushing and increased libido. Side effects are generally mild and tend to diminish over time. Some research suggests nausea can be reduced by injecting MT-II after dinner or before bed. Athletes and bodybuilders have injected peptides like Melanotan 2 intermittently to prolong their tan since a tan aided by Melanotan can last 2-3 times as long as a normal tan. Like other peptides, Melanotan is a fragile molecule, therefore melanotan nasal sprays, pre-mixed peptides, pills, oral and loose powder are not often legitimate for research effectiveness.

Has anyone used/are using the tanning injection Melanotan?

The two melanotan peptides (melanotan-1 "afamelanotide" and melanotan II) are not themselves "illegal" in the UK or the USA. What is illegal in the UK jurisdiction is their unregulated sales (particularly for human usage). In the USA jurisdiction unregulated sales are legal but only for non-human usage. It is perfectly legal to import, possess and use the peptides in both the UK and the USA, they are not controlled substances and in the UK they are classified by the MHRA as unlicensed medicines.

What is 'melanotan' ?

What you are referring to are peptides known simply by the name "melanotan". There are two versions (melanotan one and II). What they do is allow your body's own tanning system to create a tan (by increasing natural melanin production). This allows individuals who ordinarily would not tan and just burn (or who tan with difficulty) to actually be able to tan easily when getting limited UV exposure. There is a company out of Australia called "Clinuvel" which is developing the first version of melanotan (under the name "afamelanotide") to treat symptoms of a series of skin diseases that respond favorably to folks' skin becoming tan (like polymorphous light eruption (PMLE) and actinic keratosis (AK)). Melanotan II has the additional effect of causing spontaneous sexual arousal (increasing one's libido) in both men and women.

A more technical explanation:

Melanotan peptides are man made (synthetic) forms of a naturally occurring hormone called alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone (a-MSH). This hormone stimulates cells called melanocytes. Melanocytes lie in the deeper layers of the outer layer of the skin (epidermis).

Melanocytes make the pigment 'melanin' when the skin is exposed to sunlight. The melanin then moves into surrounding skin cells to help protect them against the sun's rays. Melanin makes fair skinned people tan in the sun. Melanocytes are more active in darker skinned people and make more melanin. So dark skinned people have more protection against skin cancer than fair skinned people.

If you're interested in what it is like using either one of the peptides you can find a helpful site that has a large quantity of good information and a forum with folks discussing their experiences in using them. There you'll be able to ask questions and get responses. The site is found at http://melanotan.org/ . There are usage journals with before and after photos as well as the steps involved in using the peptides, (how to acquire them, dosage) etc.

Hope that helps,

Should I try Melanotan II?

I heard about this new product that can help you protect yourself from getting skin cancer and also darkens your skin even without exposure to the sun but works very well with little exposure and gives you that sort of brown look all year long! . I'm a young girl and where i live there is no sun what so ever for about 6 months out of 12. I only get about 3 months of summer where i can actually tan. Right now i have been tanning outside now that the sun is out with a few sessions at the tanning salon and I am really tanned and it looks like i just came back from vacation. Both my parents are Italian & I have skin that tans quickly, i do not burn ever and my body is tanned all year even if i do not expose myself to the sun however the parts that are more exposed like my legs and face become pale. I really like having a little glow of sun that looks natural on my face in the winter time but i do not want to expose myself to the sun by going on vacation too much to get tanned or tanning beds. Therefore, should i try this new product called melanotan II and use it in the winter and summer? In winter to cut down on vacations and tanning beds and in summer to cut down on sun exposure as well but still get my desired deep dark tan...
There are no risky side effects, the only side effect that I wouldn't be able to deal with is moles that appeared for some people. Is this true? has anyone else used melanotan II with my type of skin and got moles? Moles are really gross to me and i really wouldn't like ending up with a bunch of unwanted moles on my body just for a tan.

Is Melanotan II spray safe?

I've done quite a bit off research on The subject and the official verdict is that not enough research has been done on the subject. However I know lots of people who use it, personally I wouldn't go on holiday without it. I highly recommend mellowtan.comI have used quite a few different suppliers over the years, they seem to be the one everyone is using.

What has been your experience with using Melanotan 2 (MT2)?

I've tried Melanotan 2 twice.  As in on 2 separate occasions with 2 different brands.Naturally I have olive toned skin.  In winter I get somewhat pale and spring, summer I tan quite easily. It also takes A LOT for me burn in the sun.  Like accidentally falling asleep on the beach all day. I do love the sun and am not fond of sun screans.  A lot of sunblocks tend to break me out.  Yet, I still want to protect my skin.Me being curious by nature I had seen Melanotan 2 on a documentary.  So I decided to give it a try as I was going on vacation, which ended up getting cancelled.  :/. The first vial I used was wonderful.  I did see a noticeable change in color as well as my skin tone evened out.  The first time I use this product I did not go in the sun at all.  It did darken the few freckles I have, which I love. The only drawback was the injection burned so so much!  Like the worst bee sting I've ever had. I used sterile water for injection and not Bacteriostatic which I've heard tends to sting less. The second time I bought Melanotan 2 was a nightmare.  I purchased a different brand, which seemed to be quite popular.  The injection was extremely painful and burned.  Also I experienced the worst nausea.  I would use the product at night before bed.  As to reduce any side effects,as I'm a heavy sleeper.  Still the next day I would be extremely nauseous! I then drastically reduced the dosage and was still nauseous the whole day after.  I did notice some slight color change.  However not as much change as I experienced with the brand I first used, even with direct sun exposure.  I ended up throwing out the remainder of the vial,as the nausea was unbearable for me.If I ever decide to try this product again I would try the nasal spray.  I'm not a fan of the painful injections that feel like a wasp sting.  Of course everyone's body is different.  If you are to use this product please becareful and do your research.

Take it easy and be safe

Will Melanotan (Afamelanotide) be ever widely used for protective tanning and skin cancer prevention?

I found this letter from the FDA to the company. Only a part is quoted.• "What side effects have been noted for Melanotan and Melanotan 2? Hyper pigmentation including new freckles/spots or darkening of  existing ones. Darkening, enlarging or new moles. Darkening of hair, and  color changes in places where melanin normally concentrates (i.e.  genital region, and on rare occasions lips). Some have mentioned white  spots that do not tan (some of these resolved themselves, but not all).  For Melanotan 2, some have had an undesired increase in libido and  erections with a rare report of priapism . Reports of new moles are more  common with Melanotan 2 than with Melanotan. Some have claimed a link  between Melanotan 2 and serious eye and heart problems."I would be concerned that moles are darkened. One of the diagnostic signs of melanoma is a darkening of moles. So which one would you elect to biopsy? This would probably lead to a lot of unnecessary biopsies being done. In the brief review I did of this drug, they most likely will have difficulty getting it through the FDA.

Can Melanotan II reverse skin lightening from skin bleaching products?

There is not a shred research that injecting Melanotan II will reverse skin lightening. Besides, the Food and Drug Administration deemed it to be safe or effective as it is claimed on the market.

During the months of you whitening your skin, did you wear broad-spectrum sunscreen or sunblock and DILIGENTLY reapply often? If not, then that can explain the issue.

What type of product is it? What is the concentration of alpha-arbutin and kojic acid? What else was in the ingredient list?

Any well-formulated whitening product should whiten the skin, not give you a sun tan. Or else it would be a different product.
