Has Anyone Had Experience Drinking Ionized Alkaline Water Could You Really Tell If It Was

I have been drinking alkaline water level 3?

Home water ionizers, which I've seen offered for sale on the internet, are just the latest twist in the ongoing effort to promote the notion that alkaline water is somehow protective of your health. The underlying idea is that you can prevent disease by balancing your body's pH. Promoters claim that alkaline water is energizing, hydrates the body more effectively than regular water, improves the taste of food when used in cooking, promotes "regularity," helps the body absorb nutrients more effectively, and on and on. I've even seen claims that it can cure everything from obesity and high blood pressure to breast cancer.

None of these claims are true. Furthermore, your body needs absolutely no help in adjusting its pH. Normally, the pH of blood and most body fluids is near seven, which is close to neutral. This is under very tight biological control because all of the chemical reactions that maintain life depend on it. Unless you have serious respiratory or kidney problems, body pH will remain in balance no matter what you eat or drink. As for water, you should consider the fact that alkaline water is common throughout the western states but to my knowledge it has not protected anyone from the diseases and disorders that occur elsewhere in the U.S.

The health claims for water ionizers and for alkaline water are bogus. Save your money.

Are there health benefits of drinking alkaline water?

Here is my experience after drinking alkaline water for 10 years. What I have to say here has cost this website many referrals. Alkaline water is a large and organised industry, and my being truthful about the long-term health problems caused by alkaline water has not earned me friends in the industry. For ten years I drank alkaline water almost exclusively. The pH was between 8 and 9, usually closer to 8. The alkaline water tasted sweet and good, but I cannot attribute any health benefits to the alkaline water over this extensive period. When I used to drink alkaline water, I tried not to drink it within an hour before or after a meal. This is important for high protein meals, which need an acid stomach in which to digest. Most people need more acid in their stomachs, and can improve their digestion by supplementing with hydrochloric acid. A glass of alkaline water does not help with the digestion of your protein food!In early 2010 I was diagnosed with severe acid reflux and GERD / GORD. I suffered blockage, heartburn, and infection of the lower oesophagus. Typical symptoms that others suffer include:Diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome.Allergies. Poorly digested proteins tend to switch on allergies.Malabsorption, causing micronutrient deficiencies.Poor digestion of foods with recognisable foods appearing in faeces.A tendency to get gut infections since acid is required to sterilise the contents of the stomach. Bacterial and yeast overgrowth means that food is fermented instead of being digested, resulting in wind, gas and bloating. It may also be part of the mechanism by which CFS sufferers are susceptible to gut viruses like Epstein-Barr.The pyloric sphincter will not open properly to allow the stomach contents into the duodenum. Food will tend to stay in the stomach for too long.View More:   http://biocera.co.kr/biocera-ant...

Does anyone have a kangen Alkaline water story?

I don't have any Kangen stories but have a few from the Kangen dealers I've met. They generally are fanatically loyal to Kangen, despite anything I can say… and i’ve had a lot to say. First, Kangen is a multi level sales company (MLM). Dealers make more by developing a downline. They have nothing to do with product development. So the actual machine is in my opinion an older technology because the manufacturer has little reason to change anything. The Kangen does work great … but its also more than twice the cost of more modern designs. Now, you can expect every Kangen person on Quora to argue with me vociferously… but I've been using water ionizers, and writing about them, for over 10 years so hopefully some of you may believe me just enough to do your own research.I do love my Life Water Ionizer and have been using it all day every day for many years. It cost me half what Kangens sell for and has better technology in it. There are many excellent brands out there, like AlkaVista and others.Just don't believe what any MLM folks tell you, or what i say, without doing your own thorough research. Just one person's opinion but I hope it helps.

Is it true that alkaline water machines are an over-priced scam, but that drinking alkaline water does have health benefits?

When it comes to my health, I make it a point to avoid advertising claims and instead focus in on facts. My definition of "facts" is different than that of the the average layman; if a claim is not supported by a long string of independently reproducible peer-reviewed clinical studies (note all the qualifiers), then it amounts to nothing more than conjecture, hyperbole, and personal opinion. When my wife began buying bottles of alkaline water, I was skeptical, and my first reaction was to think of it as money being poured down the drain. However, over the decades I've gotten into the habit of checking myself - of making sure my beliefs had a rational basis - so as to not allow preconceived notions to interfere with the truth.I was quite surprised when I clinically researched alkaline water... and I concede that my first impression was completely wrong. So far, there appears to be a factual basis for claims that alkaline water is good for you. The caveat, however, is that you can make your own alkaline water just by adding 3/4 of a teaspoon of baking soda to a 1 liter bottle of ordinary water - and save yourself a bundle!Rather than espouse opinion with no supporting evidence (as others tend to do on here), I invite you to review some of the more prevalent clinical studies on alkaline water:Schoppen S, Pérez-Granados AM, Carbajal A, Oubiña P, Sánchez-Muniz FJ, Gómez-Gerique JA, Vaquero MP. A sodium-rich carbonated mineral water reduces cardiovascular risk in postmenopausal women. J Nutr. 2004 May;134(5):1058-63.Pérez-Granados AM, Navas-Carretero S, Schoppen S, Vaquero MP.
