Has Anyone Seen The New Metallica Film Yet

Where was the Metallica Sanitarium video filmed? is that an actual abandoned hospital?

Sanitarium from Master never had a music video, the one you're talking about was one a fan did. They didn't start making videos until "One" from the...And Justice for All album

What horror movie has the song "Enter Sandman" by Metallica in it?

A long time ago I remember watching a movie about the sandman on tv but don't remember the name I just remember it had that song in it. Please help! I really want to watch that movie again.

What's the name of the movie in the Metallica ONE music video???

This powerful film deserves more information than just the title! It IS "Johnny Got His Gun" (1971), starring Timothy Bottoms, Dalton Trumbo (who also wrote the novel and screenplay and had been blacklisted), Donald (Don "Red") Barry, Peter Brocco and Robert Eastman.

IMDB synopsis:
Joe, a young American soldier, is hit by a mortar shell on the last day of World War I. He lies in a hospital bed in a fate worse than death --- a quadruple amputee who has lost his arms, legs, eyes, ears, mouth and nose. He remains conscious and able to think, thereby reliving his life through strange dreams and memories, unable to distinguish whether he is awake or dreaming. He remains frustrated by his situation, until one day when Joe discovers a unique way to communicate with his caregivers.

Some of the inspiration for Trumbo's story must have come from a very old Irish song, "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ye", in which a soldier's wife comes across him, scarcely able to recognize him~blind, armless and legless. If you're interested in the lyrics, you'll find them here:

The melody was used later for "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again".

This song was used throughout the Sixties when protesting Vietnam. The movie obviously was intended as a protest, too, one of the most powerful ever filmed.

Why is Lars Ulrich's net worth bigger than any other Metallica members?

Lars is Metallica.Without him, they do not exsis. He has been the face of Metallica since he and James got together in 81 and they formed a band for Metal Massacres compilation album. He is the reason why they are in this position today he is very smart and well spoken and was the reason they opened up for Saxon and got big gigs very early in their career. I'm assuming since he is Metallicas business side of the whole entity he gets a bigger cut and he just stays busy, hes in tv shows, movies, he’s an art collector so he frequ buys and sells art, he's got a new radio show on Beats1 called “"Its Electric!”( which has the makings to be a really good show, he had Iggy Pop as his first guest and for his upcoming show he's got AC/DCs frontman on there.)Look Lars might got a lot of shit on metal blogs and YouTube comments for being a little Danish prick and a shitty off tempo drummer but regardless of what they say he is the head of the beast that is Metallica and that's why his net worth is bigger than anybody else in Metallica.

A good starter Album for a Metallica newbie?

Depends, most new Metallica fans get started on Black Album. The songs are simpler and very catchy: however, it's not their best album, their technical skills have been stripped down for more radio friendly metal. Nonetheless it's still a great starting point for new Metallica fans. However, once you get into their albums before the Black Album, you realize that it's really quite mediocre in comparison.

If you don't want to get started with Black Album, then Ride The Lightning is the next best album to start with.

Why haven't they made a movie about Metallica's story?

You lucky dude! You're just a out to find out they did: Metallica The True StoryThey also made a film in 2004. It was terrible. They made up for it in 2013 by making a film called Through the Never which is pretty much the Metallica story told in metaphor. If you mean: why haven't they made a film about the band using actors? Probably because it would be a fairly dull film. And unnecessary because Metallica have been reasonably well documented in film since 1983.Also, would an actor really be able to walk around a small supermarket drunk better than Kirk Hammett did at the beginning of Cliff 'Em All?

Beginning of The Unforgiven by Metallica?

The horn intro was essentially taken from a Western movie and then reversed so its source would be hidden, as Hetfield later explained on Classic Albums: Metallica - Metallica. While Metallica has never disclosed what movie the horn was taken from, it is believed to be from a piece of music called "The Showdown," which was composed by Ennio Morricone for the 1965 Clint Eastwood "spaghetti western" film, For a Few Dollars More.
