Has Cnn Become Just As Sleazy As Msnbc

When did CNN become so biased?

CNN has always been more than a little left. If you remember otherwise, you remember wrong. In fact, Rupert Murdoch created Fox News specifically as an answer to CNN. CNN is and always has been as far left as Fox News is right, at least for as long as there's been a Fox News anyway. If CNN ever wandered further left, it would have been back in 1996 when Fox News first aired and gobbled up any and all of CNN's rightward leaning viewership. The free market is based on competition, and that competition, in this case, is carried out through differentiation, which is how Fox News and CNN continue to exist -- by being equally weighted to the other in their differentiation as moderate sits equidistantly between them.

Are CNN and MSNBC considered left wing?

Not particularlyMSNBC might pass just on the left for the world political scale, CNN is pretty centrist. The point is most of America’s ‘Left’ are simply centrists Liberals, Obama and Hillary certainly on the right of the spectrum on a global scale.Which is why the rest of the world stands and laughs at the GOPMSNBC from when I watched it seemed to support Bernie Sanders, who is one of the few Left politicians in America. If it went on to support any true Left wingers in the Democrats it could brand itself as a voice of Social Democracy, and the American people.CNN is what most American media networks are. The voice of establishment centrists. Except Fox which is the voice of establishment right wingers. Due to the fact they’re run by rich Americans it is very unlikely they will ever become left wing. The reason they are considered Left wing is because the GOP has moved so far they can no longer see the center of the spectrum.Right wing Americans who watch British politics must be cowering behind the sofa at Corbyn’s rise, a man who makes Bernie Sanders look like a Liberal.

Who is more liberal between CNN and MSNBC?

Who is more liberal between CNN and MSNBC?MSNBC, no question.CNN puts conservative commentators on far, far more often than MSNBC, even if those commentators aren’t particularly good at their job.MSNBC is the Fox News of the Left; opinion shows dominate their lineup, and they are all progressive. The primetime lineup for Fox: Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham. All rather prominent conservatives. The primetime lineup for MSNBC: Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell. All self-described progressives. If you look at the number of actual committed journalists, CNN wins this contest as well: Wolf Blitzer and Jake Tapper are two of the best in the business at providing fair and balanced reporting. I don’t think they always get it right, but I respect them as true journalists.Who is the true journalist of MSNBC? Brian Williams? Does he have any credibility? You may wonder why conservatives hate CNN more than MSNBC, if MSNBC is further left.I think it has to do with the fact that MSNBC makes no pretensions as to who they are: they are a dedicated, progressive network, just as Fox is a dedicated, conservative network. Which, by the way, I think most conservatives understand.CNN likes to pretend they are objective, even as Don Lemon editorializes on his “news” hour, and watch Brooke Baldwin’s utter hypocrisy over the whole Clay Travis controversy. That riles conservatives. A lot of us see CNN as a hack job, just an extension of the “liberal elite” that likes to look down on us.And honestly, I don’t think that’s too inaccurate. CNN has some good reporters, but when their negative coverage of Trump matches MSNBC, people get tired of their claims of objectivity.

Which is the slimiest and sleaziest? CNN or MSNBC?

Neither one. It's an unending source of amusement lately that the only answer fake news followers like yourself have is the childish but funny words of Pee Wee Herman: "I know I am but what are you?" So cute, so expected. Trump and his followers have been playing I'm Rubber You're Glue for a year now. Maybe you guys should get a new schtick.

Update:
You don't know what you are talking about Robert. On MSNBC Matthews always has both sides represented, so does MTP Daily and I've watched Maddow respectfully interview Trump people like Kellyanne Conway. You don't watch it, obviously, so you don't have a real clue. Nobody is set up, they don't talk over each other and they debate their views like reasonable people.

AM Joy on MSNBC on the weekends used to have Trump supporters on but they stopped accepting the invitations because she embarrassed the crap out of them every time. Now her show is definitely liberal biased but that's not the norm on MSNBC.

Did Trump sell out US to Vlad? CNN and MSNBC said he did.?

Trump is a traitor. He's been on the Russian payroll for 30 years. This timeline shows exactly how Trump and his family are tied to Russia, and what part each of the names we've been hearing has played. It's updated often so it's a keeper.

Has CNN and MSNBC lost credibility after this last election?

Absolutely. While it was always evident that CNN is far to the Left in their political leanings, they finally took off the mask and went scorched Earth during the 2016 election cycle. The mainstream media decided amongst themselves that they had a moral obligation to mislead viewers and attack Donald Trump at every turn because they know what is best for the public; not the public itself. The DNC hacking leaks revealed that CNN was colluding with the Democratic Party to get Hillary Clinton elected, and they got caught. They later ran 32 hours of wall to wall coverage about Trump having shady business dealings in Russia that turned out to be a fake document they were basing their story on as their source. Everyday the mainstream media wakes up with one objective in mind : Bring down Donald Trump— at all costs. Even if they have to lie, cheat, steal, and counterfeit their way to doing it. 2016 was the year the American public lost all faith in the mainstream media and realized just how dishonest they are.

After CNN, MSNBC and the other Liberal Media outlets go broke...Will they become traditional Democrats and?

You know, sometimes I think you people fail to realize that CNN and MSNBC are actually part of gigantic media conglomerates that have both profitable and unprofitable businesses--just like Fox News, which is a part of Newscorp.

It's possible for Fox News to trounce other news stations in the ratings while the parent corporation is going bankrupt. And it works the other way: it's possible for CNN and MSNBC to lose money while their parent companies are making a killing elsewhere.

And to think: Conservatives say they understand business better than liberals.

Which is better: Cnn, fox news or MSNBC?

The question is – which channel hides from you more?
Let’s take the Gaza war as an example.
MSNBC will tell you only about the suffering Arabs, while mention Israelis as “aggressors”.
CNN would interview some from there and some from there, but the general idea that you will receive would be something like that “Israelis are really, really bad, although those Arabs…”
Fox’s ideas can be retold like that “Israel is defending itself again the terrorist resistance group of Hamas”.

I generally like watching BBC (if you have it as a channel). But here is what I do – I watch everything! I dedicate about an hour switching from channel to channel, and since they all talk more or less about the same thing- I get more or less the truth… at least I hope so .

Why has CNN fallen behind MSNBC in the ratings?

The prior answer may well have been accurate when written, but certainly isn’t now. MSNBC is enjoying an outstanding year in 2017, having strong ratings for Q1 and actually beating not only CNN but also Fox in certain areas for Q2. In the key advertising demographic, Rachel Maddow’s show was the top rated cable show in Q2. It was the first time in quite a long time, how long I’m not certain, that FNC didn’t have the highest rated show.CNN also has good ratings, running above 2016 levels.MSNBC and FNC both have pretty clear IDs, as the top channels for liberals and right wingers. I think the surge of political activity in the resistance to Trump is pretty closely related to the growth in MSNBC ratings. (MSNBC’s attempt at Fox viewer outreach with Greta van Susteren was a failure in an otherwise stellar quarter for the network.) CNN tries to be perceived as evenhanded and wants to be a news option across the political spectrum. I think that’s actually harder to do than the frank advocacy journalism of MSNBC or the straight propaganda of FNC. And it gets even harder in a highly polarized political environment.

How biased, comparatively, are Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC?

News organisations have editorial stances. Consumers know that Fox leans centre right and CNN and other ‘liberal’ organisations lean centre left (but are a long way from socialist). Those values are fairly up-front and are not a problem in itself if their news values show integrity and if they signal their stance by separating news from opinion. The editorial quality is the real question. There has been a huge growth in opinion columnists and a shrinking of investigative journalism as newsrooms shrink as media organisations loose advertising revenue to new media. The consumption of news is also changing as social media increasingly allows consumers to select the views they are exposed to and we see echo chambers emerge. This creates an exaggerated perception of bias when alternative stances are presented.Journalistic integrity has slipped generally. Fact checking is less prevalent and sensationalism is on the rise. I find this quality problem to be a bigger issue with Fox than with CNN. However even Fox covers news, in contrast to Breitbart and the like that only cover opinions and freely admit they make bits up to suit their agenda. All media chooses what stories to cover, the prominence to give it and the dissenting voices it airs. This is not to say that all news is inherently biased so therefore they’re all equal. It becomes a problem when assertions and rumours are given editorial weight, when stories of national interest are buried, when the claims of officials are not scrutinised and when stories that suit an agenda are sensationalised beyond recognition.
