Has Two Stars From One Tv Show

What TV shows were so good, they destroyed the actors career?

One tv show in particular, where all the stars just seemed to disappear after the show ended, Hill Street Blues (TV Series 1981–1987). Starring Daniel J Travanti, Veronica Hamel, Michael Warren, Bruce Weitz, Taurean Blacque, Charles Haid, Barbara Bosson, Ed Marinaro who did eventually go on to two other series after a few years, Betty Thomas - went on to become a well-respected film and tv (Emmy-winning) director, but just two acting roles after the series ended. And then there's Star Trek: The Next Generation (TV Series 1987–1994) - Brent Spiner as Data, Michael Dorn as Lt. Worf, Gates McFadden as Dr. Crusher. Now, I almost hate to even mention these, but the fact is, the shows and characters were just so very good that we will forever remember them and no matter what they do, that one character is who they will be, and their acting efforts following the grand success of those series don't come close to the heights of their best characters:Actor Peter Falk as Lieutenant Columbo, Columbo (TV Series 1971–2003). While he did play other roles, two only will stand out, the second being the grandpa from The Princess Bride. Columbo is who he became. It's hard to say that it ruined his career but he became indelibly etched in our minds as the badger-like rumply detective and that pretty much settled it for us.and Kelsey Grammer, no matter all his successes will always be Frasier Crane, Frasier (TV Series 1993–2004) and Cheers (TV Series 1982–1993). His series following were all short-lived. We will always think of him as Frasier and doubtful that will ever be overcome. And David Hyde Pierce will too always be his brother Niles.

How many years would a TV show be running if it has had 14 seasons so far?

You haven’t specified a country so the answer can very.US network TV series (e.g.: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS) are produced on a standard of one season per year. Some reality shows e.g.: Survivor may produce more than one season per year (Survivor US is currently on 36 seasons after 18 years on the air). Some shows on pay TV e.g.: The Crown may take more than a year to produce one season. In British TV a season is usually shorter (6–12 episodes) and is usually fully produced prior to any episodes airing (as different from the US format where the show airs while in production). This also means that actors can be the stars of more than one distinct TV series as a time since the time requirements for a British series can be shorter than a US one. British TV shows may not even produce one season a year - depending on a variety of factors.e.g.: Fawlty Towers (regarded as one of the best comedy series of all time) only runs for two seasons of 6 episodes each. The first aired in 1975 and the second in 1979. The current Doctor Who began in 2005 and as of 2017 had reached series 10 after 12 years of production. And of course that’s just the examples from the two major TV producing countries. So in answer to your question - a series with 14 seasons could have been running for as little as six or seven years or as much as thirty years. It really depends on where the series is produced.

What is a good TV show for me to start watching? My favourite shows are: Doctor Who, Glee, Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. Other shows that I have enjoyed in the past five years or so have been: Flash Forward, Heroes, My Family and House. I dislike reality TV, sports and TV with graphic violence against women (CSI type shows). What's your favourite series and why?

Scrubs (TV series) (Comedy in a Medical Setting) Absolutely hilarious, light hearted. Modern-family like. Lie To Me (TV series)This isn't very violent at all & it's quite interesting. Some people compare the observations & deductions to Dr. House's. But I think ... it's quite different and absolutely intriguing. Great acting by Tim Roth. Californication (TV series) Give this a skip if nudity is an issue. It can be *quite* explicit, specially at the beginning. Once the story starts spinning- you overlook it- it's entertaining but has got really dark/messy undertones.Packed to The RaftersRecently started following it on TV. It's a hit Aussie TV series. Quite entertaining. Sherlock (TV series)Sheer brilliance! Only countable number of episodes out as yet. Better than the movies. I'd encourage you to start with this one! Apart from these I really likeWhite Collar, Huge House M.D. fan, easily my favorite series (which you have already seen), Sex & The City (it is not extremely girlie, based on relationships but I understand that will interest girls/women more :P), Entourage (nothing so great, purely entertaining. The storyline comes into play only after 1/2/ a couple of seasons. But it's totally worth watching for Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold, among the other things).

What actors or actresses have starred in at least two successful, long-running television shows?

Here's my stream-of-consciousness list to fill in some actors not listed yet. I've decided to leave off shows where the actor plays him/herself (e.g. Bob Saget on America's Funniest Home Videos), although that's an arbitrary decision. Just didn't want to go down the road of Kendra Wilkinson, etc.William Daniels - St. Elsewhere, Knight Rider, Boy Meets WorldWill Friedle - Boy Meets World, Kim PossibleMilo Ventimiglia - Gilmore Girls, HeroesMatt Czuchry - Gilmore Girls, The Good WifeJared Padalecki - Gilmore Girls, SupernaturalLauren Graham - Gilmore Girls, ParenthoodCraig T. The drawing shows three different resistors in two different circuits. The battery has a voltage of V = 27.5 V?

The drawing shows three different resistors in two different circuits. The battery has a voltage of V = 27.5 V, and the resistors have resistances of R1 = 50.0 Ω, R2 = 25.0 Ω and R3 = 10.0 Ω. Determine the current through and the voltage across each resistor.

Why do some actresses in the TV show "Two and a Half Men" play multiple roles?

Part of it is due to economy. If you have one actor play two or three roles, you only have to pay one actor and save money. But most of it is due to ego. Many actors are worried about being typecast or underrated as actors, so playing different roles in the same movie or TV show lets them show versatility. They have to define the character change by their costume and performance, so successfully making the audience forget who they are can win them accolades. Of course, the opposite is also trueMultiple Personalities: The Challenges of Playing Several Roles in One Play

Who are the two stars in Nashville based on -- Faith Hill and Jessica Simpson?

I think Rayna is based on a classic country female star, especially with her on- again off- again high profile relationship with Deacon, a Tammy Wynette and George Jones relationship. They are magic on stage and a mess off stage.  Then a highly public relationship with Luke, another country star. A marriage to a politician. This is the stuff of 60's and 70's country music.

Why are all these degrassi stars starring on disney channel? (naturally sadie, life with derek etc.) help :)?

Like the above poster said, Naturally, Sadie and Life With Derek are Canadian shows. Disney Channel only airs the shows on their Channel, they aren't Disney shows. If you have ever noticed, a lot of the Degrassi cast are also in Lifetime movies too. Most all of the movies are flimed in Canada to begin with. Plus, the directors of the other TV shows may just like the kids acting abilities. And you know, I think it's a good way to get kids into other TV shows by having an actor from that TV show on a different one. ;] It really shouldn't matter anyway if the person is on two different shows. If their acting is good then that's all that matters. They wouldn't have got the job if their acting was bad.

I just looked it up and both Life with Derek and Naturally, Sadie air on the Family Channel in Canada. Degrassi airs on CTV. But like I said, it has to do with their acting ability. If the producer/director/whoever think that the kid has talent and likes them, no matter if they are on a different show or not, they'll be asked if they'd like to be in the show.

And both shows are flimed in Toronto. So it's not like they'd have to fly somewhere far away to be on set.

Why are so many big stars "Executive Producers" of their own movies/TV shows?

There is a difference between ‘producer’ and ‘executive producer’ - these are distinct roles. The EP has two defining characteristics - financial and creative. A lead actor with EP credit usually has a degree of creative control/input and this will be a way of recognising their pivotal importance in the project. Where would The Last Ship be without Eric Dane, for example? A show like Power Rangers though can deliberately disperse the influence of lead actors by masking and frequently changing them.EP also implies not only a high level of financial control, which is a job suited to someone with extensive financial skill and experience (something the actors probably don’t have) but also investment. An EP usually has invested some of their own money in the project, they are not just an employee in that sense. Perhaps a star may be in a position to trade some of their remuneration for a stake in the company, as it were?
