Has Us Changed Much In Your Opinion Over Years. How Is Current Time Different From Earlier Days You

How has dating changed over the past 20 years?

Back in 2003, freshman in college, living in DC:I can remember walking into a booming club.It was downtown DC, there was a mass of hundreds of people dancing to hip hop and club music (despite it being almost entirely white people). The music was really really loud (but good):Booooom Cht. Bububoom boom bu cht.Booooom Cht. Bububoom boom bu cht.(Can you hear it yet? Build a sound :P)Booooom Cht. Bububoom boom bu cht.Booooom Cht. Bububoom boom bu cht.I’d start worming my way into the mass of people. And start dancing, terribly. It’s dark, but there are laser lights booming around.I was a 19 year old swimmer boy.Girl.Crazy.So I’d start working my way through the crowd. It usually consisted of a giant cluster of girls dancing, couples dancing, or individual girls dancing.Individual ✓There she was, curly-haired, about a foot shorter.Getting closer. Getting closer. Her curly blonde hair’s right there, I can almost smell it.Now I’m dancing within inches of her, clearly trying to dance with her. When she notices, 1 of 2 things will happen. They usually glance at you first. Then:She’ll perform an escape maneuver. (reach out to a nearby girlfriend, who pulls them over to dance with them etc)She’ll pull you closer to dance with her.So my chest to her back dancing, (I know - it is very personal to get with a stranger! But it is dancing, this was how you met girls!)She turns, glances at me, smiles and reaches her hand behind her, and pulls me closer to dance!WOOOOOT.It was a rush!As we are dancing, we are also talking, and man, it is the dumbest conversation you’ve ever heard.“Suuuup. SO what school do you go toooo”“Whaat???”“Suuuup. SO what school do you go toooo”“What???”“Suuuup. SO what school do you go toooo”“OHHHH HAHA I LIKE TOTALLY DIDN’T KNOW WHAT YOU SAID. SO LOUD! I AM STUDYING PHARRRMACY”There were no smart phones, fancy dating apps. All we had were awkward club conversations, socializing, and terrible dance moves. No texting. No clever memes. I had to open my mouth and hear the stupid flow out.Amidst all that idiocy, I still smile quite fondly on those experiences.

What is the difference between today's generation and old generation?

Old generation were blessed to breathe a cleaner air and enjoy more beautiful and eye-soothing beauty of nature. No T.V, No Internet. Hence more time to spend with family. More fun. More issues discussed. Better unity in family. Thus, joint families thrivedOutdoor games dominated. “My grandfather tells me often that even in scorching summer afternoons, he was dragged indoor forcefully.” Such was the craze for outdoors. This kept them more physically fit and healthy. No smartphones and no internet. Yet, the best of contact across miles. Hearts were together. Feelings were more real.Clothes have seen a great change. Men, here in Rajasthan, used to wear cotton dhotis. Unlike other people of his age, My grandfather hasn't switched to pants or pyjamas. I've never seen him wearing any of these things. He always carry his white dhoti in the same old traditional way.Old generation were lucky to have those strict punishments. They reminded them never to repeat the same mistake even in dreams. And yes, it prevented those pre-mature minds suffer the disadvantage of experience. Cricket bats, shoes, slippers, broomsticks and many other things were used by my mother to punish me. Now, my father makes fun saying, “Teri mummy ne apne bachpan ka badla tere bachpan pe nikal liya” (Your mother took revenge of her childhood punishments in your childhood.)Ladies used to make achaars (pickles), papad, mangodi, etc. This made children have great tasty stuff to eat at home itself.Morals were held very high. Quite a bit more than today.Yes, we have developed techniques and ideologies today. But I feel yesterday's generation has lot more to cherish. :-))_

How do US service members feel about the change from M193 to M855 ball ammo?

I have only ever used the m855 since I didn't join up for the first time till '96.  three things happened at once which are all interrelated. The m855 was adopted, the M-16A2 was adopted and the M249SAW was adopted.  The m855 was not designed for the m-16. it was designed for the 20inch barrel of the m249 SAW. Using it in the M-16 as well made sense from a logistics and supply problem and was a big part of the reason that the rifling was changed on the m-16A2 from 1-12 to 1-7. This was not a problem since it had a 20 inch barrel also.  Problems really only started when we moved to the 14 inch M-4. To break up and yaw reliably the bullet really has to be moving north of 2800 fps. But out of an m-4 its only doing about 2850 at the muzzle. I can tell you it still kills the hell out of people, but some will complain about anything.  The troops can complain about the bullet, but I don't think it would be a different story shooting the m193 out of a 14 inch barrel, would it? I doubt there are many in now that have shot both on active duty anyway. But if they really want something to complain about they can try keeping up with 2 different kinds of 5.56 ammo.  Now that we are moving to the m855A2 I feel confident that complaints of wounding effects will subside.  When the additional wear and tear on the guns starts to show from the hotter ammo, I'm hoping they will just use hollow points. No, it is not illegal, the US was not a signatory to that particular provision of the Hague, and we are starting to buy HP for our pistols anyway. US Army is Considering Hollow-Point Bullets to Go with New Pistol

How has the nile change over time?

In the past, the Nile used to flood every year in certain time. There were no dams so the water would cover the agricultural lands completely. And when the water is evaporated, then farmers would plant their crops. The Nile flood brought with it black clay/mud which was very useful for the lands and made them more and more fertile.
Then in 1950s, the High Dam was built in Aswan in the south of Egypt. The High Dam prevented the flood water from reaching the lands and instead stored it in a very huge lake behind it. The High Dam also uses the water flow to produce electricity. This helped to have a reservation of water to be used in dry out times and also the lands are no longer flooded by water. So instead of being able to plant the lands for just 1 time a year, farmers can now plant it 2-3 times according to how fast their crop grows.
But unfortunately, the black clay/mud no longer reaches the lands, so the lands became less fertile than before.

What corporate logos have changed the least over the years?

McDonalds didn’t exist until 1940, & Target is post-1960.Yamaha’s tuning forks have hardly changed since 1916.Shell hasn’t changed much since 1904.Peugeot’s been using the lion since 1850, but it’s changed its posture & been simplified.Mitsubishi’s three red diamonds are 19th century.Löwenbräu’s been using a roaring lion since soon after its founding in 1383, but I think it’s changed over the years.Stella Artois has been using a horn as its symbol since about the same time, but the current emblem with ‘Stella Artois’ on a red field under the horn only dates back to 1926.There are many European breweries & some other originally family firms with long histories, & emblems which, with modifications, have been used for centuries, & Japanese firms of similar antiquity. It’d be quite a task to hunt through ’em all.

How Has Halloween Changed Over the Centuries?

Halloween is a Hebrew holiday. But yes It DID change or the centuries. Let me explain. In hebrew "hallo" means "holy" and "ween" means "night". It was meant to be a very peaceful holiday not a scary mean one! That is why some religions do not celebrate it anymore. All of the devils or demonds are wrong very wrong in alot of religions.

I am a christian and Me? I believe that it is wrong. I am not allowed to be any thing scary for Holloween.

I am glad you asked this question because a lot of people need to hear the true about this HOLY holiday!

Has the Baptist denomination changed over the past few decades?

Some congregations have changed quite a bit; some haven't. In the world today, we are seeing an upsurge in "feel good" religion. The days of fire and brimstone sermons are almost a thing of the past. Many churches have taken on the outlook of "I'm ok, you're ok" when it comes to spirituality. While there are some practices of the old Baptist belief that I think needed to be looked at, there are some that should never have changed. My own church used to practice closed communion. If you weren't a member of that church, you weren't allowed to take communion in that church. We have gotten away from that, and I think that is a good thing. God says for us to examine ourselves. He doesn't say for the church to examine us and determine if we are qualified for communion. We have also started accepting baptisms from other denominations rather than making people be re-baptised to join our church. While in some instances I can accept this, in other cases I really can't justify it. A Nazarene basically believes closely enough to Baptist doctrine that I don't see a problem with accepting their baptism. A Mormon, on the other hand, isn't even close, and I don't think their baptism should be accepted for Baptist membership. I think you will find that the smaller churches in rural settings are still close to what you remember from past times. The uptown more liberal churches are the ones which have changed quite a bit. In recent years churches of all beliefs have softened their message just to get people to come in the door. If people don't feel comfortable, they won't come to church, so we no longer talk about divorce, being gay, alcohol, and a host of other things that people are caught up in. Instead of shining a light on the sin in their life and risk losing their offerings, we try to make them feel good about themselves and keep them entertained. "And if salt loses it's flavor, what good is it, but to be thrown on the dungheap"

Can a boss legally change my time card without permission?

It's come to my attention recently that my manager has taken hours off my time card in oder to keep labor hours down as to not get in trouble from the district manager. I had a suspicion that this was going on earlier so I started documenting my hours just to see. Sure enough she has been. I can access surveillance footage to prove I was working the entire time. I'm not the type of employee to just sit back and start chatting or texting or something like that... every hour I'm on the clock I'm working hard. Which is one reason this upsets me so much.

Anyhow; I'm just wondering what the manager can legally do? I already know that she pulls a lot of unethical stuff i.e. requesting me to show up early to work and start in on different tasks but not allowing me to clock in, not giving me my breaks (she had me work open to close once without a single break) and then on slow days having me come in for only an hour or so or sometimes making me clock off for a 3hr break and then coming back for 20min of work and clocking back off again. I feel they pull a lot of unethical stuff to keep labor hours low but actually going in and removing hours that I worked for the company is over the line in my opinion and I'd just like to know how much of a right does she have to do this and how much of a right do I have if I decide to take legal action?

I live in Washington state if that helps.

Thanks!

How has New York changed over time?

You can focus your studies on ecnomic development of NYC. You can go to New York City's Department of Buildings and see what types of structures have been built between the 1900s and 2000s..New York has become very over developed - and where there were once one and two family homes, there are condos in all places with 3-4 family homes. And it's harder now for families to be able to pay their mortgage, so many homes are in forclosure.
I know that other states are going through similar changes, but New York has the highest foreclosure rate. It would great to do a project on that and how NY used to be the flourishing capitol of the world,
