Haunted House At Scandia Hours

Could by house be haunted?

I receive all of these weird phone calls where the phone will ring once and there isn’t anyone there, but the ring is strange and unusual and has an Angier more menacing tone than how it usually sounds. Nothing shows up on the caller Id display and when I hit star 69 I get the previous number that called before the mysterious “one ring wonder.” as I call them. I’ve gotten these calls all hours of the day and night and it’s always the same thing. This started several days ago when I heard a beeping noise instead of a dial tone, when this issue was resolved and I got a dial tone again I started receiving these weird calls.

Scandia haunt 2009 scary?

I went to scandia just last week and it was pretty scary. The haunted house was really scary. If you go, they come out at around 7:45 to 8:15. The people that are the sliders like to chase you if you run so don't run. If you get scared go to the party area because they don't scare there because little kids are there. The rides go faster at night and if you go on the roller coaster watch out for somebody to come out form one of the wuss exits to scare you. There is also somebody waiting in the bushes to scare you when you exit the roller coaster. There is also somebody that hides in the fake leaves to pop out and scare you. The sliders don't go on rides and do not touch them or they would get mad. I hope I helped.

I Think My House Is Haunted.. Really Scared?

I'm so sorry this must be terrifying >_
Have a good one...Just take it easy ... :\ !

Have you lived in a haunted house?

Yes I have unfortunately. I think I have actually senn one out of the corner of my eye on several occasions. The last house I lived in, an old lady who went to do laundry in the basement had fallen down the stairs and died at the hospital later that night. A family member found her hours later, unconcious. I never beleived in ghosts until one night when I was cleaning the bathroom, all alone in the house, a decorative bowl of shells on a shelf had fallen off. No big deal, I picked them up and put it back on the shelf. I turned and it was back on the floor again when I turned back. It had made no noise hitting the floor. I put it back and the same thing repeated. I just left them there and didn't go back in the bathroom for the rest of the night. That wasn't the only time though. About 2 days later I when to bed and shut my door after entering my room. I laid down and realized I couldn't sleep, so I got up and just as I was about to touch the door knob it turned. Twice. Immediately after the second, about three sec. after the first turn, I threw the door open: no one there. I sat back in my bed in disbelief. I then fell asleep, with the door open of course. About a week after that my aunt an cousin came over for the night and we watched a movie. I was the only one still awake when the movie ended and all the lights were except for the TV and the dimmer in the kitche, where my new puppy had resided for the night. As the movie credits begin to roll I see a dark figure in my peripheral vision head into the kitchen. The puppy starts to whine and yelp. I freaked and ran into the kitchen where the puppy was backed into a wall. For some reason a sat and watched for a split sec before I grabbed the puppy and ran into my room. To this day I will never know why, but whatever. After this experience I moved and wil always beleive that a ghost is evil. Even if it was a sweet old lady who never did get to finish her laundry.

Any good haunted houses in ohio?

The state of Ohio is full of haunted places. From the lake to the river, from Indiana to PA, odds are you're never more than a stone's throw from someplace where something weird has happened. From my hours in the Local Interest section at libraries across our state I've assembled as many as I could find in a constantly updated, county-by-county list, which you can access below. Use it as a travel guide and then write to me about your experiences. Click a county on the map below, or scroll down to pick your county from the text list. Question about a haunted house?

My Aunt and Uncle live in this house in North Carolina that is very old. It used to be a hospital for Civil War soldiers that were wounded or hurt, and has 3 floors. I've stayed there before, and just noticed creepy stuff. For instance, I was woke up at 1 in the morning one night because I was dying of thrist, so I walked down to the first floor(everyone was asleep in the 2nd) and as I went to get water, I heard strange noises. It sounded like two people were whispering to each other outside the front door, so I looked out and saw nothing. Then, as I walked back upstairs, I heard foot steps behind me. I stopped walking, and heard those foot steps for about 3 more seconds before they stopped. Then when I started walking again, I heard them again. When I went back to my bed, my bedsheets were torn up. They were all out of sort from the way I left them, and a window in the room was open. I was so freaked out that I probably got one hour of sleep that night.

The next day, I told my family that I believe the house is haunted, and they laughed at me and said I need to stop being so stupid. So, I told my sister to switch beds with me for the night if she was so sure I was being dumb. She did, and then reported to me the next day that something was messing with her bedsheets, and that her window opened at one point in the night. I love my Aunt and Uncle, but I couldn't wait to get the heck out of their house. The third night, I just slept downstairs, but I still heard what I thought was whispering, and footsteps, but since I only had about 2 hours of sleep combined the past two nights I was able to sleep.

What do you all think? Is that a bit ridiculous for me to think the house is haunted, or do these weird occurances mean something could be wrong with the house? It really spooked me out.

Ask someone you trust, who is level headed and practically minded and (most importantly)  does NOT believe in ghosts to help you investigate. 'Paranormal Investigators', shamen and so called psychics will come into your house with a preconceived notion of what they want to find and will give you their stock answer, which you will not be able to independently verify. Some genuinely believe, some are charlatans out for their own aggrandisement or gain but either way they will feed your concerns. My advice would be-:1) Speak to a plumber, you should not have to keep a tap running and the constant random noise is the most likely cause of your problem, Pareidolia is perfectly normal and would explain what you're hearing. You haven't explained why exactly you have to keep the water running but if it's because of problems with the boiler you may also be in physical danger.2) If it still occurs without the running water, have the non-believing person I mentioned before, if they can hear it too then between the two of you should be able to track down the source of the noise, it will normally turn out to be a TV or radio in an adjoining room, voices coming through a heating or ventilation grate or something producing a random noise that your brain is misinterpreting. 3) If your person in 2 can't hear anything, speak to a doctor. There are physical and psychological issues that can cause auditory hallucinations, if it is a medical issue the sooner you get treatment the sooner you'll feel better, ignoring it will only make matters worse.I honestly don't think you'll need to go to stage 3, I think you'll find an explanation before that, I doubt you'll even need stage 2 to be honest! Good luck and let us know how you get on.

After 15 Years of trying to share a space with one I can definitely say not easy, especially when they want to get your attention. My advice:Keep very busy during the day so that you are properly tired when you go to bed.Play a little music or better yet white noise in the room that you can fall asleep to, to drown out the paranormal noiseAnd I sometimes slept with the light on when things got to scary - it doesn't stop anything but at least you feel better than blind in the darkSharing a room with someone (or a pet) helps especially when you are frightened, although my cat split when she was bothered too muchTry to go to bed before 11, the later it gets the more active the haunting tend to get and this can make it harder to fall asleep.Sleep mask, ear plugs and blanket to cover your face if they like to breath on you and tuck your covers in to make it as hard as possible to get yanked off. These things wont work everytime, but it does help
