Have A 2009 Model Hyundai Accent Why When We Repair We Replace All Sensors And Computer Box But

What are some symptoms of a bad idle air control sensor?

Idle air control valves open to allow more air to "leak" into the intake, raising the engine rpms, or close when not needed. When your AC compressor kicks in or power steering is activated as you suddenly turn the steering wheel, the sudden drag on the drive belt will bog down the engine. These systems send a signal to the engine computer telling it they are active and it then signals the IAC valve to open, which increases the engine speed. Without this occurring,  the engine could struggle, or die. The IAC valve can cause weird idle issues, mess with throttle functionality or cause the car to die. Sometimes they fail, get stuck or just get all carboned up. Sometimes people have success at cleaning them, but generally it is best to replace them when bad. Idle issues and even problems with the IAC valve may not be due to the IAC valve being bad itself. An idle issue does not mean the IAC valve is bad. It is best to pay close attention to how the vehicle is acting, and then communicate that clearly and as completely as possible to your mechanic. Intermittent problems can be very hard to diagnose. Details will help. Knowing more about the vehicle in question and its symptoms (in detail) will also help in understanding more about what it is doing.

Hyundai elantra oxygen sensor location?

Ok a bit of background info
I have never heard of an oxygen sensor! And although I researched its purpose, I can't guess its location
My girlfriend told me she got a check engine light and went to a few shops and they told her she needs to change the "upstream oxygen sensor"
I have moderate experience working with cars so I can fix the regular stuff but I try to leave the complicated things to the pros
She has a 2009 Hyundai Elantra SE
And yes I have the specific socket needed for this job

Ok now that were done with the general info...
I looked her issue up online and from what I see its a pretty easy fix once u know ur way
But I can't find any instructions on her specific year! So I would love it if someone could tell me where that part is located in her year and model
Again it's an 09 Elantra
I found a couple of videos on YouTube but they were all for older models
Could someone tell me where to find the part that needs replacement or if someone could give me a link to a video or discussion that covers this for her year and model?

2008 Hyundai Accents in snow?

I have a 2007 Accent and it slips in snow, and worse, gets stuck in just a few inches of snow. I haven't bought new tires, but I agree with the other responder who suggested getting your tires siped. I didn't do that for these tires, but I plan to do that when I buy new tires. However, the car is light, so there is no weight to push it through small drifts of snow. I find that the worst problem occurs when turning from a small side street that hasn't been plowed to a larger one that has been plowed. I have found that I must stay perfectly centered when turning (positioned as if making a left turn, even if you are turning right). That keeps me out of the corner drifts created by the plows that would make me stuck.

Also, when pulling into my driveway, I have to make sure my driveway is pretty well shoveled. If there are any "bumps" of soft snow, it will get my car stuck. Of course, I'm talking about the day after a 2 or 3 inch snow fall.

The respondent's mom is correct on gas mileage. I get about 27 mpg city driving and 40 mpg highway driving.

What is a PCM in a car and how expensive is it to replace and why?

The PCM is considered the brains of the operation and is essentially in charge of regulating and making sure the car is running smoothly. It’s actually pretty interesting how it operates. If you’re having troubles with your pcm, however, that can cause a world of headaches. It’s not that expensive though, depends on who you go to.Check out this blog for more info:Time To Replace Your PCM - Solo Automotive Electronics

What are some things to replace when a car hesitates at low rpms?

First off figure out and diagnose why its doing that, or else you wont have a clue what it is or else youre going to just be throwing parts at it and money down the drain by just simply guessing. From my experience its not one cut and dry answer It could be lots of things. Most likely if it has a carburetor the carburetor needs an adjustment, or spark plugs are old and worn out, air filter is possibly worn out and clogged with debris so its restricting the airflow. Oxygen sensor is a possibility. Or it could be a fuel filter/injector clogged/ fuel pump blocking proper fuel flow. The catalytic converter or exhaust could be clogged up with carbon deposits, but i doubt that. Lastly if its really high mileage like 200,000–400,000 miles and it could just simply be old and worn out and the piston rings arent sealing very well, so its low on compression which will make most engines low on power but thats pretty unlikely especially if youve taken good care of it, done oil changes on time and its maintained. All these items are consumables, they are regular car maintenance repairs. Its amazing how much better a car will run when you replace all those things and wear out over time. Take it to a reputable ase certified mechanic or if the car is under warranty go to the dealer. Or if you got a buddy thats good with cars take it to him. The good news is its usually something simple, and all those things arent hard to fix unless its the fuel filter/fuel pump. tell me how it goes. Good luck dude!

What are reasons your steering wheel won't lock?

I assume that you are referring to your steering wheel not locking in position after you stop the vehicle and take out the key? There are several possible reasons for this.1. The cog that fits into the detent on the steering column is broken and needs to be replaced.2. The detent on the steering column is worn or broken3. You have not turned the wheel far enough for the cog to find a detent. Pull the wheel first to the left, and then to the right to find the spot.4. The actuator from the solenoid to the cog is broken. To repair this will require the cover on the steering column to be removed, and probably need to have the steering wheel removed as well. Take it to a qualified shop or dealer for this. Incorrect actions could result in damage to the parts, or even the deployment of the air bag on the steering wheel. The exact disassembly required will differ for each manufacturer and possible model of vehicle. If you have a Chilton's manual for your vehicle, you can look up the repair to see what is involve.

Can I put a V6 engine into a 4-cylinder car?

If the car was originally delivered with both types of engines, it might not even be very hard. There are some special considerations though. The first generation of Saab 9–5 was delivered with three choices of engine (I’m leaving out the diesel engines, they shouldn’t be in cars anyway), a 2.0t I4, a 2.3t I4, and a 3.0t V6. The 3.0t was only delivered with an automatic transmission, while the smaller engines were delivered with both types. Converting a 9–5 2.0 manual to a 3.0 automatic is probably going to be more work than converting a 2.0 automatic to 3.0 automatic. Then, on the other hand, you might achieve your goals in much easier ways than complete engine swaps, depending on what those goals are. As original, the 2.0t has 150 hp and 240 Nm, while the 3.0t has 200 hp and 310 Nm. If the goal is to increase power and torque, a simple software upgrade to the 2.0t will give you 210 hp and 320 Nm, meaning you get more power and torque than the 3.0t, while retaining the better fuel economy of the 2.0t. Of course, the 3.0t could also be software upgraded, but it is a very strange engine that is very hard to get much extra power from, so you’ll probably increase the power only from 200 to 220 hp. If you want more power than a simple software upgrade will give the 2.0t, changing to a bigger turbo and more open exhaust can make that little engine yield much more power than the weird 3.0t could ever hope for. Strangely, the 2.3t was sold completely original in a version with 260 hp and 350 Nm, noticeably more than the original 3.0t, so the Saab 9–5 was faster with the strongest type of original 4-cylinder engine than it was with the V6.However, if your goal is smoothness rather than outright power, the V6 would probably win every time.

Can a faulty speed sensor cause other problems in your vehicle?

Speed sensor is only for speedometer in old car's .The ECT electronic controlled transmission is integrated with VSC vehicle speed sensor ……sp 1 and sp 2. Malfunction of speed sensor can trigger engine check light ,vsc light ,abnormal gear change. If engaged in high gears can burn clutch linings. The trouble indicating codes can be p0500.
