How do I enter the money that I made from selling my scrap metal into Quick books?
It largely depends on why you sold the scrap metal. If this is scrap metal that occurs as a normal part of your business and you intend on doing this regularly (i.e. once a month or once a quarter) or if it is an occasional as needed thing. If this is a regular occurrence, I would set up a new Income Account under the "Other Income" category specifically for this purpose, calling it "Scrap Metal Recycling Proceeds" or something to that affect. (for PC versions hold down the CTRL button and hit the "A" to bring up your chart of accounts. in the lower left corner should be a button that says "new"; then follow the prompts). If you only do this on an as needed basis then you can just put it in the Misc. Income account but make sure you set up a work paper in Excel or a report in order to detail exactly what you enter into the Misc. Income account as it is one of those accounts that auditors use a fine tooth comb on when verifying financial records.
Should the united states government policy favor certain kinds of immigrants?
all countries bias their immigrant intake to suit their economic needs, and the image they want to portray to other people or other immigrants. I think america should even give a break to some of it's illegal immigrants because they work damn hard and some of their kids would be brilliant and well deserved additions to the economy and after being the best in their education they find themselves doing domestic work because they don't have papers; that's just not pragmatic from any standpoint. yes illegal immigrants should prove their worth to social need and economic need, yes they should jump a few more legal red tape hurdles but they should be accepted into the country & not treated as if they don't exist.
