Have Any One Felt Like Urinating During Dreams And Had Actually Urinated During Nights

I am was being urinated on in my dream!?

I cant seem to find the answer on any dream web sites so I figured I ask you guys. Last night I had a dream that I was in some kind of forest or jungle, I was walking in ankle deep water and soon started to become uneasy because I felt that there was something lurking in the water. So I climbed up a tree and sure enough aligators were popping up out of the water trying to get me. But I was a pretty good climber kinda like a monkey and was safe up in the tree but then all of a sudden monkeys showed up in the trees and they were being territorial and wanted to chase me off. So they started peeing on me and spitting on me. I was jumping and climbing from tree to tree like a monkey to escape them as well. I was not scared of them but they were a nuisance and of course being urinated on was not very pleasant. Then I started waking up and I think I grabbed a few of the monkeys and flung em down to the aligators (but I am not sure if that was part of the dream - because I have a feeling that I was waking up and aware of dreaming and was getting mad at them so I thought maybe it will help any repressed emotions to rid myself of them).

Hope you can help me out with this I would really like to understand myself better and I know that dreams are very representative of repressed emotions and issues that need working on.

Thanks so much!
Daniela

Can having a wet dream cause excessive urination?

Like other said it can be that your wet dream feels like you are peeing and you wake up feeling like you still have to go.

Another idea is that you really do have to pee, but the wet dream woke you up in time to realize it.

One idea of how wet dreams work is the pressure of a full bladder. Some think that this pressure gives you an erection and stimulates the prostate gland which makes an ejaculation happen. I think it maybe also has to do with the way you get a lot of erections in REM sleep anyway, and as you know the best way to stop having to pee is to get a ***** since peeing with one is not easy. So in a way your erection might have saved you from wetting the bed, but in exchange the erection and pressure from a full bladder triggered a wet dream. I guess a small and hopefully pleasurable exchange for actually wetting the bed, so be glad!

How does our brain/body prevent us from urinating while sleeping?

Your brain/body prevent you from urinating during sleep? Uh oh...Just kidding, of course :P. This is actually an interesting question. First and foremost however, it can easily be argued that it doesn't. If you drink too many fluids before bed, have a tiny bladder, or have certain diseases which disrupt control of urine production, your brain will generally wake you, and you get up to go to the bathroom. At other times, the brain signalling your uncomfortably full bladder, may become incorporated into your dreams! That said, there are still mechanisms that have evolved to help sleep continue uninterrupted as possible. The primary way this is done is through a chemical called antidiuretic hormone (ADH). This rather useful hormone is not only active during sleep, but is involved in regulating urine production during waking hours as well. Don't think of it as some handy but ultimately useless little hormone, either - it's critical in regulating hydration and overall water content of your body, as well as blood-pressure. Essentially, it works by making certain functional units of the kidney more (or less) permeable to water, helping to control the volume of urine produced. There are other accessory hormones and signalling mechanisms that work together with ADH to control urine output, however it is the primary and most effective regulator of urine while asleep. There are physical mechanisms preventing you from peeing in bed as well. Most sleeping adolescents and adults have increased tone of certain sphincters and accessory muscles found throughout the urinary system. This helps keep urine where it belongs, even if your bladder is becoming full enough to require a good old-fashioned nocturnal emptying :P

Is it normal to dream that I pee and wake up to find that I really peed?

Hey there. It has actually happened to lots of people and it is termed as false awakening where you think that you’ve woken up and you do the same things as you usually do. That occurs to people especially in a really deep sleep. The mind is sending the signal that the bladder is full but the person ignores it and perhaps is unaware of it. Then, at such a point, the signal is transferred in your subconscious mind and in your dreams.

Last night I dreamt I was peeing & wet the bed.Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yeah, but not at 19. I have had that dream before though. More than once actually. I dreamed that I got up from bed, and walked to the bathroom to pee, and it was so real! It probably seemed real because I was pissing on myself while it was happening. Yeah but that sucks that you have it at 19. I haven't actually pissed myself since I was a kid. I have had the dream recently though (I'm 24), but I don't actually piss myself anymore, it wakes me up now. I hate that dream.

Peeing in dreams??!!?

Urinating

To see urine in your dream represents the feelings you have rejected. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on your "pissy" attitude.

To dream that you are urinating symbolizes a cleansing and a release of negative or repressed emotions. Depending on your dream context, urination is symbolic of having or lacking basic control of your life. You are literally "pissed off" and not expressing yourself in a positive or constructive manner.

To dream that you are urinating in public symbolizes a lack of privacy in some personal matter. Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to establish your boundary and "mark your territory."

To dream that someone is urinating on you means that you are feeling the emotional burden of this person. They are dumping all their feelings on you. Alternatively, the dream symbolizes your lacking sense of self-worth. If you dream that you accidentally urinated on yourself or wet your pants, then it implies that you are on the verge of an emotional outburst. You are desperate to release all the feelings that you have kept bottled up inside of you.

How do I treat bed wetting due to very deep sleep at adult age?

I believe you are psychologically a normal person of good health and healthy habits, happy and cordial relationship with parents and others. You are not worried much about studies and career besides the normal issues every adult of your age experience and craving attention. And you are not guilty of sexual excitement and other associated issues and peer pressure. I am constrained to enumerate all these , because most often psychological and neurological disorders cause such a situation besides the other activities that induce your problem. Supposing you are more on liquid diet from 6 pm onwards for any reason, consuming alcoholic beverages especially beer, fond of cool drinks and coffee and other diuretics and using medicines for any reason, fruits like water melon, etc may induce urination. Urge for Urination during night hours need not necessarily result in bed wetting.Whether you have been operated in the abdominal region or met with any accidents touching the brain or lower back bone and many other causes may be the reason. I would advise you to carefully analyse the problem and remedy there of. However, in the meanwhile you can do the following.Avoid liquids after 7 pm and empty the bladder before going to bed.Don't use air-conditioning and very soft mattress or speed running fan or tight clothing. Before a couple of hours to bed, take up pranayama and meditation for an hour and immediately after meals, sit for ten minutes in vajrasana and walk a few hundred metres. When the stomach is empty, try for abdominal exercises of contraction and relaxation techniques along with the the duct carrying urine. While urinating in normal times, instead of release of urine forcefully and continuously, urinate slowly and and stop a while and release like wise let the normal urination may be as much delayed as possible and stop and release four five times every time you urinate.Let no problem disturbs you feel guilty of the issue. Take it is nothing wrong and can be controlled with efforts and your will power. Self confidence is your asset .Take assistance of your confident to wake up during midnight or just an hour before you perceive of the problem.Never see emotional , horror and films of excitement of crime, sex etc.If everything fails, consult physician, probably a homeopath or psychiatrist.

Have you ever dreamed that you were going to the bathroom and woke up to pissing the bed?

I don't remember if this happened when I was little. I don't think so.But I do often dream of trying to go to the toilet. I once had a dream where I was in a mansion with hundreds of rooms, and there was a toilet in every room. In the bedrooms, living rooms, kitchen, garage, everywhere. Even in the closet. The problem was that there was also a party going on, and I couldn't find a room that was private. Just when I thought I found a room no one else was using, someone would walk in before I could go. I tried yelling at people and begging people to leave so I could go, but no one listened to me.Another time I had a dream where I went to go to the toilet but the only toilet I could find was overflowing with sewerage. I couldn't use it.There have been dreams where I was quite desperate to find a place to pee but something in my dream always stops me. Eventually I usually work out that I am dreaming and that the easiest way I'm going to relieve myself of the discomfort is just to wake up and go to the toilet in the awake world.I'm starting to get the knack of it and I've been able to work out it's a dream and wake myself up a lot more quickly than it used to take me.As frustrating as it often is at the time, I'm actually glad that my mind somehow keeps finding ways to stop me from wetting the bed.The mind really is a strange and amazing thing, isn't it?
