Have I Eaten Healthy Enough Weightgain Myfitnesspal

Why did I gain weight?

Hi, I started working out in September at 263 lbs today I am 251.4 lbs but two days ago the scale said I was 249.6 lbs .. Why is my weight going back up? I eat okay. I only drink water, I gym at-least 5 time a week while working and going to school. I also use My Fitness Pal I eat 1,650 calories a day. When I go to the gym I do Cardio for at least 35 minutes and lift weights for about 15 to 20 minutes. Why is my weight going up? What can I do to improve my weight loss? I'm kinda discouraged.

What are the causes that I eat a lot but do not gain fat or weight?

There are several possibilities, some of which you can eliminate. The first is that often people don’t eat as much as they think. They might have some big meals, but few snacks. Or they might seem to be constantly eating but don’t have those big meals. To eliminate this possibility, track your food intake in an app such as MyFitnessPal. This should help you figure out how much you are actually eating.Second, you may just be very active, such as having a job where you are constantly on the go. If this is the case, you are just going to have to eat a lot more than the average person.Third, you might have a disease state, such as thyroid problems or a parasite (such as hookworm). See a doctor if you suspect these, as these need to be treated for the sake of your long term health.Fourth, you may just be in that rare category of having a fast metabolism. Having eliminated the rest, just ensure that you actually eat enough, and you can find that point where you can eventually gain weight.

Is weight lifting a waste of time if one doesn't eat enough?

No it is surely not a waste of time, BUT if your are putting the time into going to the gym why not take the time to tighten up your food intake and see some amazing results?Besides the resultant muscle gain you can also learn the importance of learning how to approach any other endeavors in life and work toward mastery instead of saying, “ah this is a waste because I have no results.”Take your body weight, multiply by 15. So say you are 180 lbs. This is calories per day. It would be 2700 calories.Break that down to 5 or six meals a day each one 540 calories. Make the 540 calories 50–60% protein and 30% carbs and 10% fat. You can keep track of all of this on myfitnesspal dot com.If you have trouble eating that much you can get weight gain powders, make shakes, etc. People do this all the time and just ask someone.Dedicate yourself to being patient and seeing what happens after one week at 2700 calories a day. If you gain weight BINGO you got a plan. If not put it up to 3000 calories. You can do this if you want it bad enough.Since you already are dedicated to working out, the minute you get some results you will be even more motivated and amazing things will happen. Just have to be patient, plan the food, use supplemental powders to get the calories down and BAM you will transform your body and your mind.Don't let your dedication go to waste, just add a few more steps.Hope that helps.Your friend in health,Mike

Is 1400-1600 calories enough for me?

I am a 16 year old male who is 6 ft tall and used to weigh 254 lbs a week ago. Now I weigh 245. I have upped my water intake by a lot. Which I think explains my huge weight loss in a week due to loss of water weight. Anyways I am on a diet which includes around 1500 calories a day. My question is if that is enough? I have started eating healthier in general, and started counting my calories with Myfitnesspal. So anyways I sort of feel like this might not be enough. It is the first week of my new diet/calorie deficit and I have felt fatigue and have been a bit tired, but that could be due to the fact i wake up early for school each morning. Anyways any suggestions/feedback?

I'm 6 feet tall and very thin (weight is around 55 kgs). I want to become more healthy. How can I gain weight in a few days?

I think I am eligible to answer this question.I’m 5′11″ in height and have been lean (read skinny) for most of my life. I started working out at the age of 28, weighing 53kg (Oct 2015). I now weigh 72 kg, all the while following a healthy diet and exercise.I always thought I was eating enough, but it was only once I started to calculate my food did I realize that I was nowhere close to the suggested calorie intake. This would be my first suggestion to you - start counting your calories. There are a number of apps that would help you do this (I use myfitnesspal).I agree with what Jean-Michel Brunet said - “You need to eat big to get big”.Now “eat big” doesn’t mean you eat a whole large sized pizza and an entire cheese cake all by yourself. It means you consume more calories than you currently are - i.e., healthy food.Next would be to start training. And by training, I mean strength training. Consult a trainer initially to chart out a training schedule and to help you correct your form. The goal here is to add muscle. When I started, my biggest challenge was to eat. I was a poor eater. Eating healthy, and consuming about 2.4–2.6k calories was a pain. Felt like I was eating all the time. So, I started preparing shakes instead to consume those extra calories. (One such was - 80g oats+one scoop protein+one tbsp peanut butter+350ml milk+one large banana. This one’s about 900 calories).Gaining weight the healthy way is a slow process. If you see yourself adding about 1.5–2kg every month. Then you are doing it right. With right eating and training, you will slowly but surely see a good change on that weighing scale.Good luck..

I'm 13 and I want to stop counting calories, but I'm scared of WEIGHT GAIN?

Currently I eat abour 1,000-1,100 and I count calories to EVERYTHING that I eat. Even if it's a small fruit or vegetables. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING that I eat. I want to stop, but I'm scared of weight gain. I've been eat 1,000-1,100 calories for about 2 weeks now, and I just want to stop counting calories, I'm tired of it and it leaves me hungry. :( I'm just scared of weight gain. I'm 5'1 about 100-105 pounds. Will I not see weight gain if I eat healthy? I already eat healthy, but if I eat more than what I do right now? I'm even measure my cereal, milk, oatmeal etc. It's like an obsession. How much weight will I gain if I stop counting calories and keep eating healthy. I never liked soda, fast food[I'm vegetarian], juice etc.

Can I lose weight on 900 calories a day?

Of course you will lose, but if I may, I'd like to spice up your diet a bit, because you're eating too much fruit and no enough variety, which may cause you to cheat and not get the proper nutrients to feel good. Fruit is very high in sugar, and sugar is sugar to the body, whether it comes from an apple or a candy bar, your body will process it all the same, and that means releasing lots of insulin and weight gain. Stick with the veggies, but replace the fruits with nuts and/or natural cheeses. You can have cream cheese, which I put in my celery, and natural peanut butter (no sugar added, Krema is a great brand) which I also add to my celery. Hass avocados (technically a fruit) is also a good substitute. You can change your protein daily instead of sticking to tuna, switch it up, like chicken, beef, turkey, pork, eggs or another type of seafood. And unless your yogurt is sugar-free, it's also going to be bad and it needs to be cut out. I ate around 500 calories a day for almost 4 months and lost 43 lbs while also on the Atkins diet (low carb) I've now lost 50 lbs total without exercising. My diet is high in fat, low in carbs, and no sugar at all unless it occurs naturally in the nuts and veggies that I eat. I eventually stalled on that low of calories, so I added in 700 calories to get a total of 1200, and I lost 5 lbs in 1 week. When I stalled again, I went back to 500 calories and lost another 5 lbs that week. So now I'm stalled yet again, so will be going back to 1200 calories to try and jump start things again. Not saying it's healthy, but for me, it's working.
