Have I Gone Past The Point Of Turning Back To Study

How do I come back to studying mode after a long break?

A distraction from study could be for an hour or a day or a month. The longer the period of distraction the more difficult it is to get back. It will not be easy to jump right back in the book and keep chucking the pages. The problem with getting back is (a) we would have filled up the time we used to spend for study, with some other activity (b) may not feel the same level of enthusiasm to go back (c) perception of the study goal now looks enormous.First lets tackle the enthusiasm part. That is the fuel for any effort. Just take a paper and write down how it would be after achieving the goal. Let your imagination wander on the paper. It may even reveal new ideas and relive the initial enthusiasm. Go back and read your favorite blog or page you might have liked while studying earlier. Just relive the initial stages you had emotionally before you had the distraction. This is very important to get the motivation back on.Next is the time. Now there are so many time management techniques. The one I like the most is time boxing. Fix the time (reduce distractions, keep necessary comfort) and set a small scope. After the specific time limit ends drop it. Control the urge to reach the same level you had achieved before the distraction within the short period. If it took 6 months to reach certain level before you took a break for a month, its going to take atleast 3 months to get back to the same level, so dont rush. Finally, the goal. You would have by now lost sight of the actual goal. There is a bit familiarity to the subject that you would have picked up before the break. So it will distort the real effort needed to achieve the goal. The goal seem to be closer to achieve in actual we would have forgotten a lot of the stuff we had studied before. First we have to get over this by reaching the level we had achieved before the break. So no point in targetting the actual goal. Rather set a new goal, if you are studying for a certification, just have test by yourself that covers the certification partially. This will reveal how much you actually know. Study for this small test. Do more such self-tests.Keep these process iterative for a couple of weeks. No sooner, you will be back to the same level before you had the distraction or even surpass it. All the best.

If you had a chance to either go back in the past and change one thing only about your past or to see your entire future beforehand, which would you choose and why?

I would not choose anything. Let me give my justifications for the same:If I go back to the past and change one thing, then I will not be where I am today. There are regrets, there are mistakes in the past, but I have learnt something from them. It made me stronger, though the lessons were harsh. But that’s okay. Everything happens for a reason. So the option of changing past is ruled out for me. Just learn, Accept and Move on!Seeing my entire future beforehand? That will make my life boring and scary too, because I will be knowing what is going to happen next. And if I come to know the problems I am gonna face in future, before hand, I will stop living this minute and my focus will be shifted on avoiding those problems. My current life might be filled with fear of future. And no, I don’t want that.Life is not about changing past or fearing about future. It is about living this moment to the fullest, accepting the past and letting go of the worries of future.:)

What's a turning point in your life?

There are many turning points in ones lifetime.
None of them more important than when you reconnect back to GOD for his guidance.
It can come in the form of change from a child to a teen; a teen to adult and so on until life is reverted back in a physical death.
IT can come as the time you go from a job to a career.
It can be when someone chooses the military.
It can be the idea of giving up the single life to devoting ones life to a single person in marriage.
It can come as when a couple has children and hen grandchildren.
It can come as taking a certain class or skip it and study something else.
It can come as a form of being always safe inside a bubble or daring to step out to finally experience the world and what it offers.
IT can come in the form of dancing that special dance or sitting this one out and always wondering what if.My friend, turning points are experiences one can learn from and give you the passion, compassion and education to learn from that point in time.

IN my case My greatest turning point was when i decided i needed JESUS CHRIST to help me stop my alcoholic ways of drinking and killing myself nightly.
He responded and in my faith in him I am saved to experience for at least another day the glorious turning points of others. To also help them as I can from my experiences of deep depression and the man I choose to turn away from to become the devoted husband, loving father and faithful servant onto the LORD JESUS CHRIST hinself.

What is the turning point in the play, Macbeth?

There are actually a number of turning points in the play, so it depends on the perspective you are considering. In terms of a true Elizabethan play, in Act 3 we have the killing of Banquo while Fleance escapes. Macbeth's guilt is brought upon him by Banquo's ghost. He states, " ...I am in blood stepped in so far that, should i wade no more, returning were as tedious as go over." Meaning, he is too deep into his deeds to turn back or to change his mind - a turning point.

If you browse through some of the online study guides they will give you insight into this question. Here are a few links that should help you. Best of luck with it.

Where is the best location at home for studying?

I've heard that studying near the sunlight is good for our brain when studying.
So, by this fact, studying nearby sunlight, do we always need to find a time where we can see the sunlight to study?
Also, should we face the window where the sunlight is coming through or should we turn our back towards the window where the sunlight is coming through?
Thank you.

If you could turn back the hands of time?

Nothing, I may regret some of the things in my past but without those things I would not be the person I am today or have the life I have today. So I guess I wouldn't change anything from the past for fear it would change who I am and what I have now.
