Have The Hamburger Patties At Wendy

Uncooked hamburger from Wendy's.?

My husband stopped by Wendy's on his way from work for myself and my children. I had a double with everything and of course frie's! Well, half way through my hamburger...I looked down and the bottom burger was pink in the middle. I instantly threw it back in the bag and spit out the rest. My question is...can I get E Coli from eating this?I actually have anxiety and I alway's check my food before eating it. But, I guess this time I did'nt check so well? Just worried if I was going to get sick? What are my chance's?Let me know what you all think?

Don't you think Wendy's has the best idea: Hamburgers with square meat served in a square box?

Wendy's burgers are the best, out of fast food joints. Although I am not a fan of the suare burgers. Also in my area it comes in foil, not a box.

I heard Wendy’s uses horse meat as filler in there hamburgers, is that true?

“I heard” is not proof that this statement is even infinitesimally true. There is little point in asking a question like this without doing some basic research of your own.If there were even a hint that this was true, there would be more press of the outraged sort gumming up my news feed. There is not. The only article I could find on the subject was on a news network which admits to being fake and satirical. And, if you are just a troll, shame on you.

Is Wendy's chili made from leftover hamburgers?

Yes.Burger patties that are cooked on the grill but not used for an order within a certain time end up getting dried out/burnt by the heat of the grill, or just plain too old to serve on a burger. They get tossed into a metal pan inside the heated drawers above, where they sit for hours (perhaps even all day, depending on whether or not anyone is keeping up with the chili meat.)Whenever the pan fills up, the “chili meat” (aka leftover burger patties) is moved into a plastic pan which is then filled with water and microwaved. After that, the water is drained and it’s chopped into smaller bits like what you’d find in chili. Once it’s thoroughly chopped, it’s put into plastic bags and stored away in the freezer to be used to make chili the next day (or later, if there’s already older bags of chili meat in there that haven’t been used — they’re kept around for up to 7 days after being chopped.)

Why are the wendy's burgers getting smaller?

i know right??? i wonder in actuality what the weight of the burgers are???

Why does Wendy's put unused and scrap hamburger in their chili?

You have really good answers already which I agree with. Wendy’s chili is really good (to me) and I am not a chili fan.If this practice is gross to you, I suggest that you never, ever eat a chopped BBQ sandwich anywhere. Everywhere I’ve worked that made the stuff threw all sorts of odds and ends in it. End pieces of cheese that had become hard or didn’t make a perfect slice, end pieces of whatever deli meat wouldn’t slice nicely and more. It was the “Won’t present well on a sandwich” graveyard. It was good stuff, though.Actually, you probably should just eat at home. Most restaurants have ways of not wasting food. When I was younger, we didn’t eat fish at anything other than a seafood restaurant unless it was Friday because that’s when Catholics who follow dietary rules need fish options. Quality seafood is expensive.Avoid buffets at anything but peak times as well. Heck, avoid most places that fry things in bulk. We got some rancid chicken at 3PM from a Popeye’s about a year ago.One more thing. Well, two. Don’t use ice machine ice and don’t order soft serve ice cream. Those machines are bacteria vectors and sometimes roach collectors. I once finished a very large soda, opened it up to refill it with water and found a roach. Hubby once found what appeared to be a booger at the bottom of his cup but it was likely just ice machine slime.Bon Appetite!

Why are Wendy's burgers square?

At its launch in 1969, Wendy’s attempted to set itself apart from other burger chains by forgoing the traditional circle burger patties for one that kept all four corners, but why?The creation of the square patties comes down to two things: quality of the meat, and an ideal instilled in Dave Thomas from his grandmother.Thomas’ grandmother Minnie often told him “not to cut corners.” That phrase took on a literal sense when he opened Wendy’s and included corners on his burgers.“That’s a message Dave Thomas wanted to instill throughout the company so it’s definitely symbolic,” explained Frank Vamos, director of brand communications for the company. The square burgers were also Thomas’ way of showing that he was proud of his product.“Another big reason is that Dave was always very confident in the quality of our meat,” Vamos said, noting that to showcase that aspect he made sure everyone could see the meat, in all its juicy glory, outside of the bun.

Is it true that Wendys chill is made from thier leftover hamburger?

Yes, it is true. It's not days old, and it's already cooked, but in order to serve the freshest burgers, they don't keep them on the grill for long. We piled them up in a heated drawer for the day, then stored them in the cooler until we needed to make chili either in the evening or first thing the next morning. It's totally safe!!!

HEY- why anyone would give me TWO THUMBS DOWN for telling you exactly how we did it is beyond me. Did you see that I am a former chili maker? Did you see that I have worked there and speak from experience? They do NOT make the chili and ship it to the store. It is made daily AT the store with hamburger, a spice pack, the beans and a veggie pack and water. Anyone who is telling you otherwise is just trying to be a smarty pants.
