Have Unbearable Pain In The Wrist While Playing Badminton

How do I get rid of knee pain after playing badminton?

Getting some warm up before the game is good for your knee as badminton is the game where constant foot work is required. Constant movement during the game is the major cause of knee related injuries. Such injuries can be avoided with the use of compression sleeves. These are specially designed to keep the muscle intact and joints covered thereby providing protection from cuts and bruises.Knee Compression Sleeve is a piece of clothing that fits over the knee and act as a guard to prevent knee related injury. Knee compression sleeves also help in relieving knee pain as it help in reducing swelling around knee area, also promote constant blood flow to the related body parts, thereby inducing injury recovery.

Painful forearm after playing badminton?

Every single time after I play badminton, the back part of my forearm (the side with hair on it) becomes very painful for a number of days after. It is not the sore kind of "good workout" muscle pain, it's like sharp pains whenever I flex my forearm or move my wrist up and down. When I press down and run my hand along my playing forearm, I feel hard bumps that are not there on my other arm. When I reach the last third of my forearm, it goes up higher than any other part of my forearm, and it feels a lot harder than it does on my other arm. Does anyone know why this always happens? Could it be the way I grip my racket? Do I have knots in my forearm? And most importantly.... How can I heal it/make it stop hurting????

This is seriously painful and frustrating it's making me crazy.
THANKS A MILLION for anyone who can help!!!!!!!

Elbow pain while playing badminton?

Hi,
I use to play badminton. I am 25 yrs old male. When ever I play smashes in badminton my elbow becomes painful. After a while it becomes extremely painful throughout my arm. But after an hour or so the pain reduces gradually. Pls tell me what would be a possible solution? Is that a problem on my elbow bone joint? or ligament? Pls help me! Thanks!!

Can we play badminton with wrist pain?

Maybe. The two worst problems I see with a sore joint is OVERuse and UNDERuse.A joint cartilage’s “heart beat” is being used. So, painful joints with good structure that are not used due to fear of pain absolutely causes structural damage by causing cartilage death and arthritis. This causes further pain and reduced range of motion.Painful joints with bad arthritis and/or lax ligaments or poorly healed fractures can be easily overused. How to tell the difference?Mild pain to me allows me to do most every activity with discomfort but I can do it with out sharp pain that causes involuntary grimaces. AND, it is not much more painful the next day. Simple NSAIDs help like naproxen or ibuprofen help about 50% or more.Severe pain does not allow full function, like you can’t adequately grip the badminton raquet or swing your wrist. And that night and the next day, much more pain arrives. Simple NSAIDs will help a little but not enough to allow good rest or function. So, go and try playing badminton and see how you do!

While playing badminton I am having a heavy knee pain what should I do for it?

Most of the quorans have asked you to stop playing. But rather take a break from it until you heal. But try to figure out why is your knee is hurt.Probable reasonsattempting a shot incorrectly. You might have strained your knee while executing a shot.jerk in the knee. It is possible that you twisted your knee and didn't take proper rest.Proper stepping. If your stepping is not proper, then you must be running extra few steps in order to cover the court. Thumping on the ground puts great amount of pressure on the knee. The best example is Rafael Nadal. Work on your stepping in the court once you get better.Get well soon :)

Does wrist pain if we play badminton heavily?

It depends when you started playing badminton. Because if you started playing badminton in recent times and experiencing wrist pain then it's acceptable to an extent. Badminton is such a game where almost all muscles and joints of your body come into play. For movements all around court ,your leg muscles play a role ,for smashing the shuttle ur back , shoulder come into play. We most often need wrist play in the game to deceive opponent at times or place shuttle in gaps and also to receive the opponent's smashes. If you are an attacking and aggressive player on court and if you happen to play very heavily it's your back and shoulders that pain a lot.Wrists do pain if you play sort of defensive and always find gaps.Pro tip: For stronger wrists in play, you got to work your wrists using Dumbbell.Hope this helped :)Thanks for A2A.Cheers!

Should I play badminton even if I have back pain problems?

How do I deal with wrist pain while playing the bass?

Just Just as with guitar, wrist pain us often a cosequence of style, and wanting to look cool.If a player of either instrument holds it low, the wrist has to make a strong bend to get the fingers up to the fret board. This can work, but it binds up your fingers, and puts an unnatural and unneeded stress on the wrist. Over time, that can hurt.If you look at classical guitar players, they hold the neck quite high, about a 45 degree angle to the floor. The fretboard is high enough that your wrist is almost neutral. As little strain as is possible. This is one of the things they need for the amazing dexterity required for playing classical music for guitar. The same things work for bass. I am not suggesting that you copy them, it is sort of a geekish look for a modern pop band, but you can come close.Anything you can do to help the wrist be more neutral, not flexed either way, will help prevent pain, and will probably help resolve present pain.It may even help your playing.

I am having severe pain on my elbow while playing badminton. Is it because of the lack of warm-up?

From my own experience, most likely it is.I resumed playing badminton a year and a half ago, after a hiatus of more than two decades. On my very first outing, I played as if I was two decades younger, playing with reckless abandon. So, no proper warm up, no stretching after the warm up and in general, running around the court at will and hitting at will.Sure enough, I was sore all over my body for almost a week. Muscles I thought I never had in my body were aching. Five days after the first outing, I tried playing again. This time, my elbow had a sharp pain and it was very difficult to lift the racket after playing for just 15 minutes. I later figured out that I gave myself a tennis elbow. My solution was an elbow brace. One like shown below. You also can try it. It helps a lot. It mitigates the pain. I continued using the brace for six more months.Amazon.com : AZSPORT Tennis Elbow Brace, One Size, Black : Sports & OutdoorsImage Credit: www.amazon.comAfter six months, I joined a gym and started strength training. Good exercises for all parts of my arms (forearms, biceps, triceps), shoulders (deltoids), chest (pecs) and back (traps and lats) ensured complete recovery from my elbow pain. Within a month of joining the gym, I stopped using my elbow brace.Nowadays, I usually warm up (jogging, jumping jacks, burpees etc.) for 5 minutes, stretch major muscles and then start (light) hitting around, before I join a game. So, though it feels like a burden to properly warm up and stretch before your play, the more religious and regular you are, the injury free sessions you get to enjoy.Hope this helps! This is not a substitute for sound medical advice.

I am having pain on the backside of my palm. I play badminton regularly. The pain comes only after playing badminton and it persists for at least the entire day. What could be wrong?

Could be tendon pain.Try making a fist with a straight arm and then bending your fist up and down, side to side, slowly and gently.See if you can pinpoint where the pain is.Now make the fist again, and ben your arm at the elbow in various directions.  Do you still feel the pain?  Try the same thing again, with an open palm and note the differences. How long have you been playing?  If it is a new activity, it may be you are just over working the joint / muscle / tendon, and it may come right as it grows stronger. However, if it is just a poor Bio-mechanical movement, like using your wrist at the wrong angle (which is what we learned in Ju-Jitsu, how to create pain or damage in a joint, by moving it to its weakest point, or outside its normal range of motion) then repeated ly doing what you are doing may cause further damage. If the pain is intense put some ice pack on there, and then later when it is not so intense have a hot shower and do some gentle stretching.  Or keep doing the ice pack / hot shower routine for a couple days until the pain dies down and then do some stretching. Are you gripping too right while playing and overly fatiguing the muscles perhaps?  How long do you usually play for?
