How did matter came to exist in the first place if nothing can be lost or created and everything transforms ?
well a new branch of string theory is bringing forth an idea that says there are multiple universes... and that what we call matter and energy is a product of the collision of two or more of these universes. this lead to a new universe with its own laws of physics. this seems to work because the physics of our universe seem to break down at the time of the big bang. " which ironically was neither big nor made a bang" but of coarse this only leads to more questions and leads me to a chilli peppers lyric "the more i see the less i know". but i think the essence of your question thus far is out of human reach. we have stood on the shoulders of giants to glimpse at the vastness of the multiverse and thus far we have gained only more questions. if god created it who created god? to sum it all up we humans are very very very tiny little specks of dust that are attempting to understand things more then 10000000000000000000000000000000000 times the size of them selves. we are pretty damn special and while these questions too run deep in my mind ...but we have to know more before our minds can make that journey but i commend you for using your brain.
Is the meaning of life to gather knowledge?
The entity formerly known as n4maxn: "Extracting a higher-level Meaning out of knowledge, on the other hand, demands a complex decision making process and an associative value assignment facility on the part of the bearer of the information." Knowledge and meaning are inextricably tied together. The means to an end is to know the meaning. The entity formerly known as n4maxn: "A tool-making chimpanzee, for instance, may not assign any superior Meaning to its knowledge of catching ants and termites on a stick, beyond the simple act of tending to its empty stomach, that is." Your example is ill-suited as it assumes the associative facility of a non-human species. It appears to assume that the monkey wants to role model the human's concept of higher meaning. Oddly enough, the life-styles of some humans lead me to believe that the human wants to role model the monkey's concept of higher-meaning.
What do you do if your best friend doesn't want to be with you anymore?
I have been in your situation. Not once, but twice. When the same person who you trusted a lot, the one who used to share everything with you, the one who literally has other friends because of you, for the one you did all that you could ever do turns out to be the one who stops talking to you, not just this, the person refuses to give you a reason and ignores you constantly. It sucks, it really does. But that's how most of the people are.In my case I tried everything, called them pinged them, confronted them, only to face ignorance. Not every one is as sensitive as you. I felt so bad initially, I didn't give up. I wanted my friend back at any cost. No matter what. But there is a slight boundary between ego and dignity called self respect and you must respect your self respect.Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that people don't need you anymore in their life.Their work is done, maybe they are just bored of you. Accept their decision and move on.Also remember one thing, too much of attachment can be really really harmful.Sometimes, it's better to embrace solitude rather than cribbing over the fact that people don't need you. You need yourself. It hurts but You are stronger than that.
